INTRO TO THIS WEEK

From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”

Recovery
While in recovery, when I loosened up and brought on fun and play in my life, I saw the most progress. Let go of some of those adult feelings that hold you back in your life. You can still be mature about your responsibilities on the job and with your life. By bringing back the fun, the curiosity, and the joy, not only will you have more delight in your life, everyone you deal with will loosen up. We live in an age that requires change, innovation, clear thinking, and creativity. The factors involved in humor require similar skills – play, exaggeration, associative thinking, reversal, developing spontaneity and comic vision.

Be Spontaneous
As I was learning to walk again after my first accident, I saw a small row of bushes and jumped over them – had to have my Kit fun. When we play spontaneously, we trigger endorphins in our brains that lift our spirits and calm our pain, fear, and burdens. Also, life can be difficult alone. When we play with other people, whether they’re family, friends, or strangers, we are reminded that we are not alone in the world; we are here as a group. The benefit is that we can connect to others in pleasant and meaningful ways that will expel loneliness, as we bring on comedy.

Humor Binds Us
When I speak for groups or perform a juggling act, the whole room is laughing. Humor is infectious. The sound of laughter is far more contagious than any yawn. Joy brings on a certain mindset that is relaxing and helps in life. When there is laughter between people, it brings them together, and they bind closely. Play is often defined as a time when we feel most alive, yet we often take it for granted and may completely forget about it.

Free Medicine?
A proven fact, laughter also generates healthy physical changes in the body. Humor and laughter fortify your immune system, decreases pain, boost your vitality, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress (yes, laughter is a main stress reliever). Best of all, this precious medicine is fun, free, and easy to use. Everyone must laugh, for top health and well-being. A good laugh will weaken all the unpleasant thoughts you might be having. Your sense of humor is one of the most powerful things you have that will make certain your daily mood and emotional state will support your good health.

No More Stress
I did go through depression for a time, as I’m sure you have, too. Laughter and joy helped to make me whole again. I found that I could not be under stress and laugh at the same time; the two just don’t mix. Bring joy and laughter into your life, and watch the stress disappear. Having a sense of humor in life, and about life, is crucial for a good life. When you are down, just force yourself to laugh like when you were young, and you will see how good it makes you feel. Bringing on laughter is natural, and healing can have a profound effect on our body and mind. We can and must bring back the laughter of our youth, letting it work its magic to bring on health and healing in our lives.

Relief
Laughter brings relief to live’s problems. Much of the humor that comedians (like myself) use is laughing at what stresses us. Humor has always been an expression of the freedom of the human spirit. Man’s capacity to stand outside of life and view the whole scene. We often see the big picture and laugh. Humor helps us handle the problems we believe we can’t control or solve. You have to think funny and paint funny pictures in your mind. Your active imagination is constantly tuned in. You have to always be in a receptive mood to see the humor that others overlook.

Don’t “Turn” into an Adult
I hear adults say to their children things like, “Stop being so immature,” or, “When are you going to grow up?” These people are trying to teach their children not to be kids. At times, I’m sure these adults are jealous of the carefree and innocent nature of kids. Bring back that childhood fun and wonder that is within each of us. Take the time to ride your bike, fly a kite, juggle those balls, smell a rose, walk through the woods or a beautiful park, or walk barefoot in the sand at the beach. As adults, we need to explore the child within us.

Grow Up?
People turn into adults. They lose their childhood curiosity, fun, and play in their life. Without these traits, it is hard to learn and change. Even with the power of play, somewhere between early days and maturity, many of us stop playing and often stop learning. We exchange play for work and responsibilities. When we do have some time, we often zone out in front of the computer or TV rather than engage in some creative, brain-stimulating play. By giving ourselves the approval to play with the joyful mind of a child, we can continue to gain benefits throughout our lives.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>
Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking.

I find them so interesting, challenging, and important on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to get our focus back, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion.

I hope to inspire you with my words. Words have power.

Are you accomplishing what you want before your eventual death?
At any age, you can (and should) make changes to make your life better.

How you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determines everything that happens in your life. It all derives from your quality of thinking.

When you improve the quality of your thinking,
you change the quality of your life—sometimes instantly!

Just as positive words can make someone smile, and/or a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control!

You have complete control over only one thing in the universe — Your Thinking — and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

To keep your motivation, you have to use each day as an opportunity for improvement, to be better, and to get a little bit closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it!

Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
Motivational words, yes, they’re just words.
But they’re positive words; they will keep you on track.

EVEN IF YOU START LATE, ARE UNCERTAIN, OR DIFFERENT –
YOU CAN STILL FIND SUCCESS!
Don’t forget; you are only as young as the last time you changed your mind!
Keep your thoughts and self-talk fun and productive, and always reach for more advancement.

REMEMBER, VERY LITTLE IS NEEDED TO MAKE A GREAT LIFE.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
And, time seems to be going faster all the time.
Do you keep track of what you do each day?
Do this for a few weeks, you will see your time differently.

11/19—This week was a sick week for Kit. I’ve already gone through a bout of Covid, I don’t think it was such. With so many different sicknesses in the world now, it could have been numerous things.

But, even being sick, I have no worries, you might saw I’m used to it. I have been through so many life-changes. No fear of death—if it’s time—bring it on.

I have never had a belief in any of the gods that humans have developed. I think, when you are dead, that’s it. Nothing more. This makes it more joyful for me, not having to worry about any god or going to heaven.

People have said to me, “What if you go before God after you die, what will you say?” I will say, “You know my mind God, and you would know what it would take for me to believe. Why did you not allow me to understand in a way that my mind could understand?” So, if I end up in hell, that’s God’s fault.

I feel good that I have added very much to people’s lives through
my writings and speaking. I believe (and have heard from people) that I changed the juggling world in a good way. I, of course, hope I have added to your life as well.

Writing of death, Beth and I just watched an old showing of McHale’s Navy. Knowing every person in the show is dead now is hard to face, but we are all heading to that end.

11/24—We joined Beth’s Aunt Karen and her husband Davie for the Thanksgiving meal. Where they live in a lot of land and wilderness—I love it there. A nice meal with great folks.
How about you?
Is it time to “make” things happen and live a fuller life?

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK > >
As I do each week, put together a daily journal of your life.

Don’t rake your leaves! Leaves are great for your yard and lands for next year. Myself, I will be mowing them up with the lawn mower. It is better to have the leaves broken down as much as possible.

Do something new, daily, then keep doing it for the rest of your life.

My goodness you saw McHale’s Navy. Henry Beckman was a good pal of mine. He’s passed on now . Natural causes.
