*************************INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
So sorry, I did not keep track of my days and missed publishing my blog yesterday, Friday, as usual.
Already getting colder here in Orlando, I might mossy on down south again in Florida, I like the warmer weather.
WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>
Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking. This is why I find them so interesting, challenging and important on the path to joy and happiness.
Inspiration >> The process of being mentally stimulated to do a certain thing.
I hope to inspire you with my words.
Words have power.
You see, the way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determine everything that happens in your life. It all derives from your quality of thinking.
When you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life—sometimes instantly!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and/or, a well-timed humorous quote can make someone laugh, our own thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control.
You have complete control over only one thing in the universe — your thinking — and that’s where motivational quotes come in!
Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
I hope the words I pick do help you.

BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS >>From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”
TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR MIND, USE IT RIGHT!
For many years, the consensus was that if a person sustained a brain injury, that their brain would not be able to operate normally again. The general thought was that once a brain was injured and it could not heal, but in more recent years, doctors and researchers have found that the brain can be amazingly resilient.
In my case, I have found that my brain and thoughts are actually much clearer in some aspects, and that I have a newfound perspective on the world. In fact, this book may not have existed if I still operated with the same thought patterns I used before my accident. YES, THERE IS MUCH HOPE FOR A BRAIN INJURY VICTIM.
My brain experienced substantial trauma during my accident, and was sloshed back and forth in my skull. I have since discovered that our brain has so many neurons that when some neurons are damaged or die, other neurons can take on their functions.
For your brain, you need to keep adding new knowledge and skills throughout your life to take full potential of your brains possibilities.
YOU MUST KEEP LEARNING AND GROWING YOUR BRAIN FOR YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.
Your brain’s structure changes throughout your lifespan. Scientists no longer see the brain as an organ that is “hardwired”, and therefore inϐlexible. All the thoughts you think, all the experiences you have, all the love you show, all the changes you go through, actually shapes your brain by creating new neural pathways. Your brain is learning and therefore evolving all the way to our last breath. It is a truly amazing organic machine.
Now, it’s time to get out there and do something incredible that you can rejoice in!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>12/5—Drove into Naples Florida and went to a park. A lot of grass, a lot of palm trees, a lot of sunlight. The temperature right now says it is 83 degrees.
Ate a big salad, did some juggling, did some reading – a happy boy am I.
Up north where I was in Pennsylvania, the temp is in the forties and fifties. So glad I came down here, wish you were with me.
I found an interesting place to head toward. On the west coast there is a small town call Boca Grande. So I’m going over there.
As you might be able to tell, I like small towns much better than big cities. Each small town is unique, where each big city is always the same. Same shops, same businesses, same people?
On the way, I stopped by Charlotte Harbor State Park. Walking on one of the trails, right away mosquitoes were attacking me. I decided to return to the van and, at times, I had to run to get away from the little buggers.
I do have some insect repellent in the van, but didn’t feel like putting it on and returning out there, so, on the road with me again.
It ended up there was a $6 toll to get to Boca Grande. As I said before, I’ve been to so many nice places that are very nice. Six bucks is not much, but I’d rather not pay a fee to see something. Yes, I’m cheap, but I’m smiling.
After I started driving again, oh, I discovered that the little mosquitoes got me much–I’m one big itch.
Did you know, mosquitoes have a liquid they put in your skin to make their blood-sucking-needle go in easier? It is this the initial liquid that makes you itch. So remember that the next time the little vampires go after you!
12/6—Drove through the town of Venice, did not recognize anything. I lived in this town back when, at the young age of 19, I was juggling instructor for Ringling Clown College back in 1979.
I remembered nothing of the area. I talked with someone who told me the building for the clown school was demolished and replaced with housing. So, can’t test my memories for anything around here.
I started driving up the coast.
Sooo many vehicles!
Sooo many people.
I had to get away.
So, I picked a town near the center of the state and here I am.
12/7—You might think I eat tacos all the time. Just about once a week, tonight was once. They’re really quite tasty, and good for me too. When we’re together I’ll make tacos for both of us!
Slept at the library last night, very quiet and nice. The library opens at 10, and now its 8, so I have time to spend. Had a few projects on the van. It rained last night so I couldn’t juggle on the grass.
I was surprised that last night got cold enough to warrant getting out of my sleeping bag for the warmth. So, I have two blankets and my sleeping bag, so I’m warm enough to get down to zero degrees.
As far as a sheet to cover me in sleep, I had someone sew a sheet so it’s like a sock around my body. That way, I don’t have to wash my blankets very often, but I wash my sheet every time I do a wash.
So, my plans are to meet with my juggling friend Randy Cabral in Celebration Florida on Wednesday. I had some items from Amazon mailed to his abode. It is Monday and only a two-hour drive away from here. I will definitely visit on the West Coast of Florida and see what I can find.
My only cost is fuel when I drive somewhere. I have plenty of food to last me a few weeks, and I carry seven, one gallon containers of water. You see, the longer I can stay put, I have no cost whatsoever. So, here I am!
Most every Library has a grassy area where I can juggle.
I have 100 books in the van to read.
I still have plenty to keep me busy well staying put.
I found that you can’t be anywhere near the coast in any part of Florida. Just too many people too many vehicles, I had to get away. So aim for the town of Wauchula, in the middle of the state.
Yes, tacos again tonight, so delicious. You see, I have cheese and salsa in the cooler and it will eventually go bad, so I have to eat them up. No no no, I don’t mind at all.
Right now I’m in the town of Wauchula, a nice small little town. I went directly to the library, which closed at 5. he will reopen tomorrow a 9 a.m.
The library is on a busy street, so I parked behind the building at as nice small Park. I will sleep here tonight, should be nice and quiet. Goodnight for now
12/8-9—At another library the night and then in the morning.
What a fun day today. Some items from Amazon came in and my juggling friend Randy Cabral said I could use his address to mail them to. So the items came in and Randy and I met with Bob Whitcomb add celebration Lakeside Park.
We did some juggling we did some talking—was great to see my two friends. I remember Bob as being a big guy. At one point, he said, he’s who he was up to 444 pounds. He had some surgery on his stomach and at this point is down to 222 lb. I’m quite impressed, he looks great. You really did a good thing for himself.
Bob, to my right, used to weigh 444 pounds!
Like me, Bob lives in his van. A smaller o ne than than mine, it has worked for him for over a year now. He’s not performing very much right now, but he is figuring other ways to do things.
Both Bob and Randy are good with their minds. They figure out other ways t do things, such as shows, such as they are each working on performing virtually.
Yes, it’s a new and different world we’re in right now.
I still don’t think I like it as well as the last we had.
Will humans have to wear mouth coverings for the rest of time?
As you know, we’re in the town of Celebration, Florida. It’s a beautiful little town, laid out nicely and well-kept. My old juggling friend, Dave Finnigan, lives here. He was busy today and could not join us at the park.
I repeat, what a nice day I had today.
Right now it is 7:43pm. About a half-hour ago I was parked and settled in a residential area, but not near a house. I guess someone didn’t like that and a cop came on my door.. She said I could not sleep where I was parked, so I moved on. Of course, like all cops, she asked if I had any weapons. I asked her, “Why would they have any weapons?”
Tomorrow morning I was planning to go to I dentist and on the way stop at a McDonald’s to get on their Wi-Fi. So I simply parked at the back of the lot at the McDonald’s and I’m here for the night. The road out in front has quite a bit of traffic. This traffic noise will be less and less as the night comes on. Hope you sleep well tonight.
12/10–7:42am at the moment. The dentist opens at 8:00. This tooth is funny, so I have to see a specialist. You see, during the day the pain is not there, during the night it comes on, much. So, hoping this dentist can find which tooth it is and I may need a root-canal.
I found out from the dentist that one of my molars in back has infection. The tooth has to be removed. I am taking some antibiotic right now, she wants me to finish the bottle then return for the extraction. So, some days to spend around Orlando, oh boy.
Tonight I finished up the scrumptious tacos. This Taco week was fabulous. Tonight I finished up the cheese and salsa and only two tortillas are left. So it worked out perfect. Now I will have to do the same thing next week–ha-ha.
Tonight I was careful where I parked for sleep. I am with a nice park to my left side, to my right is a closed down business. So, I won’t be disturbed tonight as I sleep away.
There are many busy highways around Orlando. The place I found to park is quiet and away from traffic. Simply a great place for sleep tonight. Hope you sleep well.
And, by the way, I built this van so I can have two single beds. So, you are welcome to join me anytime you want to in my travels!
How about this – I’ve not shaved for a week now. The beard is starting, where will it go?
12/11—Today I went to a dentist and it looks like I’ll need to have a tooth extracted. It is one of my molars, in the back of my mouth, so, having it missing will not be seen. Later I will have an implant to fill the void.
Initially, I went to a normal dentist how about this problem. They wanted 85 bucks test to diagnose me. Then, it would have been $1,200 you have a tooth taken out.
So, I went to a community health center and their offices and patient areas we’re nicer than the other doctors. My cost, $35 for the initial visit– and that is all– there will be no charge to take my tooth out. A much better deal, I think, what do you think?
Most of the night I have been awake. I will be doing my shower outside the van at about 4am. Just getting this blog prepared and edited for you so I can send it right away this morning. I promise you, I will keep better track of the days and get future blogs out on Friday.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

*************************INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
The masks that people often “have” to wear are demining society. Not being able to see people’s smiles as they are walking toward you damages human life, I think.
You know how I do not like it when people are not friendly and do not say hi. Now people just hide behind their stupid mouth covering and do not communicate in any way.
I will often see someone who isn’t really even making eye contact and just say, “really.” I just want people to think before they hide away from human life.
How about you, I hope you don’t “hide” behind your mouth covering and stay hidden from people.
There was a guy cleaning the parking lot, with his, as they call it, mask, on. This mouth covering has not even been proven to be completely effective.
The me, it’s like, sick until proven unsick. When I see young kids wearing their mouth covering, it’s just grotesque to me. All the young people now will grow up thinking their breath is poison and I believe that’s not good for the human mind.
Cloudy days this week, but warm. I will stay in Florida for the next month, I think. Then on to who knows where, perhaps to see you? I hope so.

BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS >>From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”.
If you don’t already have these traits, they can be developed.1 – You try new things. As you know, familiarity is the best teacher. Try new things all the time to allow you to evolve as a person.
2 – You accept change. You cannot get away from it, change is the only invariable. As a highly confident person, you may not always like changes occurring. Do you best to accept the changes and ride the wave of change. Learn to change with the changes.
3 – You have a strong sense of self. You have knowledge of what you like and what you don’t. You have most likely built a strong sense of self by living a broad life and having a variety of experiences. Stretch yourself for more and new experiences—daily!
4 – You learn from your past without dwelling on memories. The past will be a role in helping us move ahead in life, but not if we get fixed in your past.
5 – You go after your goals and dreams. Drive forward as you can toward your good future, always reaching for more toward your end results.
6 – You have a strong sense of individual limits. Don’t attempt to satisfy others just to make them happy. You must see your results and keep “you” happy.
7 – You distinguish your “mistakes” as learning opportunities. Don’t beat yourself up for your mistakes; realize that every slip-up is a chance to learn ways to be more victorious the next time. As a juggler, when you drop the ball, pick it up, learn, and continue.
8 – You take risks. You make informed choices even if there is some risk involved. Know how to differentiate between a gamble and a risk. Get ready as much as they can and then go forward for those risks you feel are worth the effort.
9 – You refuse to be under self-pity. As a highly confident person, you refuse to let the difficulties make you feel victimized. Of course, you feel sorry for yourself at times, but it is important not to linger in self-pity.
10 – You can be alone with your own thoughts. Being on Earth can be quite a lonely place at times. Live your life without needing to fill every minute with conversation with others or by use of technologies (cell phones, e-mail, texting, yelling really loud, etc.) After all, each of us is finding our own individual direction.
11 – You trust your instincts. Our mind will help guide us on our path to make the best decisions. Trusting your instincts helps you to make better choices; therefore, you have a better life!
12 – You take care of yourself. You must treat your body with esteem by giving it a high-quality diet in the form of healthy food, relaxation, fresh air, and activity.
13 – You enhance others, not degrade them. As a confident person, you don’t feel the need to build yourself up by putting others down.
14 – You don’t beat yourself up. Of course, you are not perfect. Even the most confident of us have frail moments. Dust yourself off and keep going.
15 – You celebrate your successes and the accomplishments of others. Truly confident people are not envious and backing away from other people’s successes. They celebrate other’s achievements.
Now, it’s time to get out there and do something incredible that you can rejoice in!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>11/28—What to do, what to do? I’m near Miami, so, of course, go to the beach! I only saw hotels and expensive houses along the shore.
Then I came to South Inlet Park. With the greenery, a paradise in itself.
First thing to do– jump into the Atlantic Ocean with me of course. The weather was quite warm, nice. And, like usual on the east coast of the US, still hardly any waves, like a bay it was.
After the ocean the outdoor shower was terrific. I soaped up and became clean clean clean.
So, yesterday I put my blog out early, not knowing if I would have Wi-Fi connection later. It ended up that I wasn’t, so I am glad I put it out when I did.
Did you read?
Did you like?
Did you write to me and let me know what you thought of my words?11/29—Miami—like other big cities—too many people, too many cars.
I had to get it away.
So far to get away from this place.
But then I looked on the map and I found Biscayne National Park. I had to go. What a great hideaway, it was perfect. Quick to get there, from Big City to Wilderness in one short drive.
I started seeing fields with fruit tree and palm tree farms, how perfect for me, from city to this, made me happy!
In fact, I found a place in the fields to park and sleep. How pleasant it will be, no noise no lights no people no cars. But, I wish you were here with me.
At this point, since I’m so far south anyway, time to return to Key West.
And just if you are concerned, I still floss and brush every night– I’m sure that make you happy.
To go down to Key West, I have a full tank of gas, the cooler is full of food and ice, my 7 one gallon containers of water are full, I’m ready to have a good time.
I’m very happy with the place I found to park tonight for sleep. It’s already very dark, no humans anywhere around, and I will hear silence tonight.
But, a couple of mosquitoes got into the van. I hear them buzzing around and ready to attack me. Yes, I will be under my sheets so that’s a good thing. I hope you sleep well tonight, I love you.
11/30—Every Friday when I put out my blog I feels like kind of a relief.
Still driving south, around Miami now. Miami extends at least 100 miles is a circumference9.
Today I went to another library where I will sleep in their parking lot, again. As I was setting things I saw a guy across the parking lot learning to ride his unicycle.
Of course, right away, I had to start giving pointers, he did have one excellent ride at one point. I also showed him and his wife how to juggle with scarves. New friends were made.
Here is me on my 7′ unicycle back in the 1970s.
They were quite impressed with my books and my story.
Nice to get the acknowledgment.
Because I ran over that thing on I95, I brought the van into Tires Plus to get a wheel alignment. They had a special deal right now at for a lifetime wheel alignment, so I did. Now, no more worries about the front end of the van.
Heading down to Key West today. I’ve been there two other times. Before I drove straight through the other Keys (Islands) to get there. This time I will be stopping at each Key to explore, you will learn how it goes.
First stop, Key Largo. Hotels tourists, and the like.
Just passed a sign that said—Alligator Crossing—how fun!
Exploring Key Largo what’s fascinating. On the island, vegetation grows thick on both sides of the Road. Very gracious it is. Many nice homes on Key Largo. Some are very secluded, which is quite pleasant, as you would know,
Next was Plantation key. Today is Sunday so many businesses are not open. Yet, that means tomorrow, Monday, all the touristas will be gone, better for me.
I’m on Marathon Key right now. Hard to find beach access, All the multi million-dollar homes are all on the shore.
When I came upon a home just being built right on the ocean. I’m sure they’re going to spend millions for this home. I pulled in in the afternoon, already went for a swim in the ocean, very warm, I might add.
It’s 2:12 in the afternoon and, as you know, I have hundreds of books to read with me. I will spend time reading I will walk around the area. This is where I will be for the night.
Yes, I went for swim in the ocean. There are a bunch of birds on the small Pier where I went to the water. I made sure I did not disturb them, so they didn’t fly away.
You see, this Key of Marathon has a library and I will be there tomorrow. It’s the only library I found in the area. Home for the night on land that’s worth millions. I’m right on the water, very clear and beautiful water all around. Wish you were here.
Where I’m parked right now is called Tingler Island. Different parts each Key or Island has many names. Seems strange to me.
Maybe I’ll just have to be a squatter and take over this property. Would you come and visit me? ( maybe it might be in jail, if I am a squatter?)
There I was down in the Keys wondering why I was there. It was nice weather the first day, oh, then the rain came in. Still warm being so far south, rain brought in the cool, though.
I have to do some gripping now. Seems that most drivers in Florida refuse to use their turn signal. If you know me, that’s a major thing that I do not like. It’s so easy to let other people know what you’re doing by using your turn signal. So, if you don’t use yours, that’s a terrible thing.
Something else to complain about. I’ve had friends who seemed to turn against me. Most of these friends I had I have no idea why they might not like me.
Tina Henry, Melodye Jensen, D Finnigan, Steve Margil, I don’t know where your hatred came from, but it is totally unnecessary. But, that really doesn’t bother me or affect me in any way. You see, I really don’t care, their loss.Yikes, another complaint. Yesterday I was decimated by mosquitoes. The itching started today and it is Extreme. Boy, those little buggers.
Ducky ducky ducky, I had to go to Duck Key, of course. A gated community, the guard said I had them a pass to get in. So I saw no ducks, no humans, no frogs, no lions, no creatures at all.
There are some state parks I could have gone to, but they want money to go in. The last one wanted $4.50, not a lot, but it wouldn’t be worth it for me. I’ve seen things like that before, and even better.
This drive out to Key West is 100 miles each way. But, worth the time, it’s a beautiful drive. If you ever get a chance, take the drive.
With the bad weather moving in, there was no reason to stay in the Keys. So I took the Hundred Mile Drive back to the mainland.
My van has been making a squeaky noise when I turn the wheel or when I go over bumps. I was quite concerned.
I went to Tires Plus, they took a look, lubed up some fittings, and things are better. But still makes some squeaky, hopefully that will heal itself. Eventually the squeaks went away, a happy guy I am.
After obtaining my van at about 5 p.m., I wondered where to sleep for that night. I found a parking lot with only a few cars in there, so that was my sleeping place for tonight. I made a bowl of chicken and rice, quite good.
Still don’t know what’s next for me. Jules will be calling me in the morning calling me in the morning, we might get together.
Because I went in the ocean and didn’t shower afterward, I have salt and water on me. Got to be quite itchy.
I took a turn off on one of the keys where there are no people around. I took a shower as I do outside the van. Felt great afterward, nice and clean.
Not sure what’s next to me after that. I’ve been to the Parks down here a few times, both Everglades and Big Cypress parks. I always like to go see the Wilderness, though. And hopefully, this time, I can pet an alligator! I would love that.
Saw a couple live alligators, and I still have all my fingers!
12/1—Parked in a big empty parking lot for sleep last night. Is very quiet, with my window covers, that kept the light out. I still awaken between 2 and 4 a.m., which is enough shut eye for me.
I’ve spent a couple of days in Miami. You know how I can’t stand big cities, I’ve had about enough. I had to get away.
It is Tuesday and on the internet I found a nonprofit bike shop. I need a new wheel for the back of my bike. This place the hours are 6 to 9 tonight. I hope they have that size wheel, or, maybe they have another bike I can acquire.
Already have my destination to go to from here tonight. I have to get away from this people in traffic and stuff. It is 5:15 p.m. now and I will let you know if anyone shows up for the bike shop. I hope so. It ended up that no one came by.
Just reading in my van in the evening. As I was laying down reading, and I got a knock on my door. I thought they were cops but the ended up being building security guards, I think.
They ask the stupidest questions, such as, what are you doing here? I answered, well right now I’m reading, then I will be sleeping.
All cops ask many of the same ridiculous questions, their next question was, “Do you have any weapons or guns in your van? I answered, Yes, I don’t. Which totally mixed them up. Then I said, do you think I’d tell you if I did? Then I said, “Why that’s just a ridiculous question.”
They asked me, “Have you been drinking?” I said, of course I have been. If a human doesn’t drink liquid, that human will die. I’m sure you’ve been drinking too, yes?
One of these cops had a big rifle in his hands. I wasn’t about to joke around about that. Just seems like a little much.
Next, I was going to ask, “And you actually get paid for this? But I held back.
I moved on to a different area and I plan to sleep good tonight. I hope you also have a good sleep.
12/2—Slept in a quiet parking lot last night, very comfortable. Then, drove to a local McDonald’s to get on their free Wi-Fi.
Miami!
Another big city.
I had to get out!Taking Route 41 to the West, this is one very straight road across the Everglades. And actually, there is not much to see. There are no roads that go into the Everglades, that’s a good thing for the animals.
So right now I’m just driving though. Aiming for the small town of Chokoloski, mainly because of the interesting name. You’ll find out more later, of course.
Yes, they have cell phone towers all over Florida; even here in the Everglades. I set up so that I can charge all my electric by the engine of the van, hooked into the cigarette lighter post.. A happy Kit Going down to the road.
I took 41 West which goes through the Everglades and then goes directly into Big Cypress National Park, so two-for-the-price-of-one! As I said before, there are no roads that go into the parks, it’s really not much to see oh, nice drive, though.
Big Cypress is a special place. Take a look >>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mULRajIn34II saw a campground, I pulled in. Not much here, but it’s a very clean and tidy camp. I found out they charge thirty bucks a night, $15 with my discount. When I can sleep somewhere for free, I’d rather not pay, so I moved on.
I look at that, an art gallery right off the road. I can tell them that many people here but there was a couple taking care of the place. This artist is somehow special to the area. Only using black and white is work it’s quite nice. Take a look clydebutcher.com. He is still alive, by the way.
Further down the road I stopped at a wildlife area with some walking places. I saw two Gators! They were small, but still, they would bite my fingers off. And, I wouldn’t even have a chance to try and bite their fingers off.
I arrived at this glorious Campground at 1 in the afternoon. Has nice tables fire rings and you actually park on the grass. The cost is less, too. So I’m going to take everything out of the van, clean and organize and then put everything back.
How not many trees around here, therefore, not much wood to the fire. But I went out and then gather what I could. I did find one big branch and some smaller. Also, dry palm fronds will burn, I have some of those for the fire also. The winds are up, might be difficult to get a fire and going. But you know me– try I will.
Had a good sleep out here in the wilderness. For a change, I just laid around in my van until the sun was up. A cold start to the day, but things warmed up quickly.
It’s been a few days, shower time. There was no one around, a great time for a shower outside my van. I pulled it around so that the open doors where to the wilderness. As I said before, I get it as clean as I do in any shower.
Saw a couple of vultures, but it seemed that I wasn’t on their menu for the day.
I’m curious, would you shower this way out in the wilderness where there is a slight chance people can see you? Myself, I have no trouble with that.
12\3—Just because of its delightful name, I had to come and see Chokoloskee in southern Florida. Such a beautiful town it is. Right on the border with the Everglades and right on the water, this town has all how for joyful experiences.
In fact, I am parked at a green area now, did some juggling and some organizing of the van. I really like this place. If you are around Florida, you must come and see this place for yourself.
12/4—The van needed fuel, I saw there was a Costco within about 15 miles. They always have the lowest price for gas, so I did. Picked up a couple other items I needed, too.
Pulled into Naples, Florida, and the Collier Library. I know this name well, I graduated from Collier Jr. High in San Diego (no connection, but the same name.) This library is open, unlike many, and I can plug in and get on their wifi, a good thing.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

MY CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK >>Do you take any medications? If you do, this week look into natural remedies for what ails you. Best for your body to go the natural route (usually a lot cheaper, too.) What about working out, would that help? Keep safe while doing this.
Over the years I have only taken one medication for high blood pressure. I am looking into various ways to avoid the medication.

*************************INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
Each Friday I put out my blog, as you know. After it goes out it is like a relief and that I am starting a new life each week. I have to look for new experiences and adventures to take you on. Kind of exciting, I must say.
Most roads are in excellent condition in this state, the temperature is comfortable, the people I’ve me are nice, yes, Florida is a great place to be.
I drove by the turnoff to the town I used to live in. You see, in 1979, at the young age of 19, I was hired to be the juggling instructor for Ringling Clown College—yes, I taught clowns to juggle and perform.
WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>
Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking. This is why I find them so interesting, intreging and important on the path to joy and happiness.

BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS >>From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”.
As I was recovering, I found that I had the same eating habits as before the accident but without the same amount of juggling practice and exercise, so I started to gain weight. After a time, I saw that the way I ate was a matter of discipline and control.
If I could learn to control my mind, I knew that I could also learn to control my eating habits.
With some research, I learned quite a bit about health and eating habits. In reflecting on the changes I needed to make to keep myself from gaining more weight, I realized that much of what I ate was out of learned habit.
Many of us are habituated to eating a certain number of meals at a certain time of day following a prescribed way of making up our plates with this much carbohydrate and that much meat and the list could go on and on.
The first step I took in breaking the learned habits was to eat only when I was actually hungry. I also made sure that I stopped eating when I had had just enough to get me past that hungry feeling.
I also had learned that incompatible food combinations robbed me of energy and added to my weight gain, so I started to make up my meals and my plate in ways that would give me energy and not cause me to gain additional weight.
Control your eating and you control your life.
I later began a form of intermittent fasting and wouldn’t eat anything after nine at night (this later was moved to seven.) There are several reasons to put a buffer of at least three hours between food and sleep.
First, your body does most of its detoxification while you are sleeping, and if it has to digest food instead, you are missing out on crucial detoxification of other gunk and junk floating in your body.
Also, as you sleep, your body has to work extra hard to digest food and that food can transform into excess weight easily.
Many people might look at these habits and think they are difficult to do. Food cravings can be really strong sometimes and when you really want a cookie or some ice cream at eleven thirty at night, it can be hard to just tell yourself no. Do the right thing.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
11/21—Was at a library last night. I simply stayed where I was parked and slept there. Then, in the morning, I saw they had electrical outlets on the porch, so I plugged in while using their wifi. I do like libraries.
I’ve passed from South Carolina into Georgia, getting warmer already on my way south, I love it.
11/22-23—Spent the night at Foster State Park in Okefenokee National Park. What a terrific area, although I did not see any wild animals. I never knew you had a state park, Chris Foster.
Last week I wrote about my time at Congaree National Park. I just found a great film on this delightful place. Enjoy this >>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vo7RzGH0y0Sorry to say, I was at a McDonald’s around midday to get on their free wifi. I was backed in and I saw a continues line of cars going through just to get a bit to eat. What a waste of time and gas, can’t they make a breakfast meal for themselves?
What was even more disturbing was about every person I saw go into McDonald’s to order and get food was over-weight, many outright obese. This shows what fast-food attracts, I guess.
I’ve returned to Salt Springs Recreation Area, a superb area. With the lake to swim to the wifi available to the wilderness all around, I couldn’t ask for more. Take a look here, you will love it >>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CNI9u9cOMY
The cost for the site is $22, with my discount I get half off of that amount. Tomorrow I will go into the lake and also take a shower. Many places that have showers available charge eleven bucks to get clean, so, with the camping and the lake, well worth it.
Spent the afternoon parked where I could get wifi, now I am in my campsite. I hear an assortment of childhood laughter and joy, music to my ears. So great to hear this young people experiencing new things. Do you remember your first times camping?
Because of substantial rain last night and this morning, I will not be having my usual huge fire. I miss that, I do like my fires. But, I am having a tasty glass of wine tonight, does that make up for the fire? (well, I would have had the wine either way, so, no.)
Something that surprises me, I’ve been thinking much of Todd Smith recently. Todd was a juggling prop maker and a very likable guy. He died a few months ago, I think from Cancer. It is going to happen to all of us. Are you accomplishing what you want before your end?
11/24—They call it, “The Sunshine State”, today it is proving why. The temperature right now is 30.55c (87F), with a bright sunny sky. So glad I meandered down here.
11/25—Back into Georgia, that’s when. I had to put on my shorts and take off my shoes. And this will be my dress for the winter in Florida>>:-)
So, going to Okefenokee Swamp. Crossing Florida then back into Georgia. Found a street away from everything in the town of Fargo in Georgia.
Arriving at about 4:30 in the afternoon, there was time to cook up the chicken I’ve gotten and to open a beer with smile on my face.
Starting with the greatest salad with lettuce and tomato and a tasty salad sauce on top – – it made for the start of a perfect meal (I think the name should be changed to “Salad sauce” as opposed to “Salad Dressing”.)
On the chicken, I cooked it with a great Tsu sauce. I ate about half of the chicken, I will use the rest tomorrow for chicken tacos. Care to join me? So, later, I didn’t get the usual five inch corn tortillas I usually obtain. These ones are bigger (and tastier.) I used all the rest of the chicken on one taco, made it huge with the lettuce, cheese, onion and sauce. Wish you were here to eat it with me.
I will be sleeping right where I’m parked, not really any houses around here. Very quiet, looks like it will be very dark, too. Just the way I like it.
Right now it is 5:30pm. I’ve had my delicious dinner, put everything away, cleaned up everything that needs to be cleaned, and now I’m laying on my bed with a smile on my face, getting ready to do some reading.
I found that, living in the van, or really, living anywhere; you need to keep stuff where it goes. I see so many people who just “put” stuff. If you keep everything where it goes, life goes much smoother.
As I was laying in the van, a police vehicle pulled in behind me with his lights on. He had some complaints from neighbors. Something different always upsets people. He told me I should move.
So I moved on at 8:30. I went to find the road to get to the state park, which I did find. I found a place to park along the road where I’ll sleep tonight.
I don’t expect any vehicles to come by and I’m not near any houses. So, I will have a dark and a quiet sleep. Good night to you, by the way.
In the Okefenokee swamp now, They say you can see black bears, raccoon’s, alligators, possums, and other animals. I said nothing, nice area though.
As you know, I live in a van I travel. Often I get food from food banks; I eat well. You might think me a Vagabond or a Drifter or Homeless. Yep, I am none of those, and all of those? I live a life that I want on my conditions, therefore I am quite happy.
Yes—I am rich!
When you have a simple lifestyle of few desires you always have more life and enough money. I am quite comfortable with the lifestyle I have developed.
The secret to happiness, you see, is being able to cultivate a simple lifestyle of few desires That way you always have enough money.
I love my life in the van traveling. Although, I do get lonely, at times. I would love to hear from you, or perhaps, I could stop by for a visit?
So, you see, the secret to happiness is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy with less!
11/26—Right now I am parked outside a library on their wifi. It is 2:21 in the afternoon and I believe I will be staying right here for sleep tonight. Then I will drive to Discount Tire about that trouble.
Met up today with my old friend Jules Manas. He was actually my boss at one time when I worked for ADVO near Philadelphia. He is down here to take care of his mother, who is 96.
Jules owns a camper van and says he is going to start living as I do. Another I inspired to change their life. How about you, could you redirect your life to have the freedom that I am finding in my travels?
Jules asked me about little things that might come up, like going to see a doctor. I told him that I deal with things like that when they might come up. Such as, I have gone to see a doctor at an Urgent Care before, which is are all over the place. You just deal with things as they come up, as you would with any kind of life you are living.
Also, in a cooler, Jules brought me everything I need for an excellent Thanksgiving dinner tonight. Thank you so much, my friend, I will enjoy that.
As you see, a brightly colored bird was on my head.
Yesterday I ran over something on the freeway that blew out my driver side rear tire. I will be going to Discount Tire tomorrow to see about getting their help. For some reason they don’t work on Thanksgiving day. Very upsetting about the tire, I must say.
5:50am—Last night I slept at a library, very quiet, quite nice (did you notice, quiet and quite used together?) I’ve moved down the road and am parked at Discount Tire now waiting for them to open.
I don’t know if you have ever dealt with this company, but I find all the service people to be kind and helpful, the prices excellent, and the stores are always kept very clean and nice; a very well run business.
If you need tires for your vehicle, I urge you to check out Discount Tire.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

*************************INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
As you know, I was traveling up north to meet with Alice, who my heart fell for after we were writing words back and forth through Facebook. On my way up to Buffalo, NY, I figured out that I was chasing something that might not even be there. So, back south I went.
Then I connected with Liisa (yes, spelled with two i’s). She suggested I come back north and the two of us could go see Suzi Wallace Fire (yes, “Fire” is a real name passed on from her ex-husband.) Wondering if something might develop between us, back to the north for me. We are all about the same age.
What a wonderful day of remembrances we had between the three of us. Something with Suzi was not in the cards, it seemed, but great to spend time with her and Liisa.
Right now I am typing while parked back at Congaree National Park (I’ve taken you here before, remember?) As I’ve written previously, a small park, but I love any wilderness.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
11/14—You may have thought I learned my lesson last week about chasing girls I know from the internet. Yes, I am heading north again to meet up with two beauties I know through the internet. (I also know them in person, so, different this time.)
I meet with them on Wednesday, I have five days to do—what? I will spend the time right, you’ll see. Liisa I no mainly from first knowing her brother, the great juggler Dana Tison. Suzi I remember from when we met in the early eighties when she was in the performance field. Dana throwing 5 torches, below.
In the past I got my tires from Discount Tire a year ago. Time for a tire rotation. There is no charge in that I got the tires from them. What a great company and excellent time today in dealing with them. If you need tires, check them out.
So, this evening I checked into The Best Western Hotel (well, I will be parked in their lot to sleep the night in the van. No guests, no employees, no one here—so hard in the world right now.
While at Discount Tire I dropped my computer on my foot. My foot cushioned the computer from harm, but my foot is quite damaged. The computer slipped out of the bag while on a table and fell on my foot slicing edge first. Hurts like hell tonight, I will let you know tomorrow.
So, I was in the Jacksonville, FL area, and you know how I hate big cities. So, to the north I went out of the main part of the city.
Eventually getting to North Carolina where I met up with Liisa Tison-Pyke. Then, the two of us will be going to visit our old friend Suzi Wallace Fire.
====================
11/15—Drove to Best Buy in Charlotte, South Carolina. My computer needs to be looked at to make it faster and make sure everything is running sufficient,
As you might know, I carry with me or 100 books in the van for my reading pleasure. Right now I’m reading “Family Happiness” by Leo Tolstoy. I’ve heard about his amazing writing, but I’m just not seeing it while reading this book. Have you read this? What do you think?
11/16—As you know my computer is at the shop, Best Buy and with Geek Squad. Strange, I feel lost without it. Mainly to write this blog to you each week, but I also enjoy YouTube videos. Currently I am using my phone and voice typing.
I drove by more cotton fields today, hard to believe they can make your shirt from these little balls.
It wasn’t too long ago, but it’s hard to remember not having computers or GPS or a portable phone. We got along fine without them in the past, at times I almost want to switch back to that time.
Without having a computer to use, I had written down some food banks to go to so I can collect more food. I have enough to last me for a month, I believe.
It surprises me how many people attend these places to get food. Lines of people and or lines of cars, it’s incredible. And, I am seeing some very nice expensive vehicles. Of course, people have to eat!
11/19-20—Stayed, once again, at Congaree National Park. Such a small park, but I do like it here. Last night I slept in the van while parked in a dirt parking lot. Very quiet—very dark—the way I like it.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

To the north for me? You will find out why later. But, then back south for me to Florida. I drove through the most horrendous rainstorm, I have never experienced one with that much water.
Much driving in the rainiest weather I have ever dealt with. I actually got scared while driving—could hardly see ahead, passed many accidentlies, it was all a little much—just to go and see a girl I hardly know from Facebook?

BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS >>
From my book series >> Beyond Your PotentialTry many ways and don’t give up!
There is always an original and diverse way of doing something. It doesn’t matter what limitations you perceive or find along the way, or how many times you fail. Keep trying.
One of the most common causes of letdown is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary weakness. In these moments, we may feel like we can’t live up to what we desire to accomplish. I learned to get over this sort of thing through juggling practice. Often I would drop what I was juggling, but I would just pick up the club or ball or sword and try again.
Never confuse failure with momentary weakness. So many people will encounter a moment of weakness when trying something new or when attempting to stretch a limit and then assume they’ve failed and give up too soon feeling frustrated and defeated. Every individual is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.
We can convert that moment of weakness into success by reflecting on what happened and finding where things went wrong. Once we know what went wrong, we can try again and we can do it right. This process of reflection and correction is what leads us to success. The main thing is to keep driving forward.
Don’t believe you have to know everything about something in order to do it.
While you continue to push yourself forward, don’t limit yourself by thinking that you have to know everything that there is to know about what you are doing in order to be successful at it. There are many people who have achieved great success without knowing everything, including even the correct way to get something done.Success requires many attempts, and those attempts will require different approaches. One approach may not be the same approach that another person finds helpful, although both might find success.
Try different ways until you find one that works for you.
In working directly with people who have gone through recoveries from various accidents and illnesses, I have learned that many of these people were very strong mentally after what they had been through. I too had to learn to be of a healthy mind after not one, but two long-term stays in the hospital.
Numerous people who have come back from tragedies have extraordinary self-confidence because they have overcome hurdles and learned lessons to advance their lives. They had lifted their self-imposed limitations and allowed themselves to excel farther than if they hadn’t gone through the change they experienced.
Now, don’t go out looking for an accident or something to get into. Just know that, if something does occur, you can find your way back.
Belief is the key to life.
Know that you can do whatever you set out to do and believe in your abilities. Rather than limiting yourself, allow yourself to believe that you can and will be successful. Even if you find that you really can’t push this or that limit any further, at least enjoy the time you’ve had trying.
Think back to when you were a child and the words limit and limitation weren’t even in your vocabulary. Self-imposed limitations came later in your life as you saw what might cause you harm or might not work.
Now consider that everything you effortlessly do today is something you did not know how to do at one time either, but for some reason, these things were not singled out in your mind as being unattainable.
The things that I had to relearn after waking up from my coma – walking, talking, juggling –never came to mind as being a limit for me prior to my accident. I just did these things unconsciously. Things we normally take for granted should never be a limitation, just do them.
Turn back the clock, bring back your childhood, and stop limiting yourself. If you hold onto being realistic, your full potential in life will be lost and you won’t reach as high a level as you could have.
Don’t “turn” into an adult.
At thirteen years of age, I started riding unicycles with a neighbor named Ron Friel. I remember him saying to me, “Yeah, I’m probably never going to ride tall unicycles. This regular size will be my goal.” When we set limits like this for ourselves, they tend to keep getting bigger and bigger in our minds.
The first time Ron and I ever rode a tall unicycle, we came to the realization that we had become too attached to our success on a regular cycle. In that moment, we also overcame the limitation of riding just a regular size cycle. Going above and beyond this limit that we had set for ourselves opened up a new world for us.*************************
MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>11/7—Today is Saturday, it seems that I often arrive at a national park or wilderness area at the weekend. More people around, to me, is not a good thing (I love you, though.) I arrived at Ocala National Forest today.
Right now I am at a library in Palatka, Florida. Arriving at about 7am, after changing into my shorts (already warm here), I saw they had benches out in front and outlets there to plug in—how fantastic!
I’m already thinking I will be here all day and arrive at Ocala Forest tomorrow. I have all the food and water I need to last me a week or more, perhaps I will? Of course, I will have to be out by next Friday to get the blog out to you.
Arrived in Ocala National Forest. So glad to be back here oh, what a wonderful area.
11/8—Paid for campsite number 160 for two nights. This campsite, unlike all the others, is small and secluded with forest all around. Now it was time to go and get firewood for the night and then for the breakfast fire tomorrow.
I found a dirt road turn off the main road and took it to find wood. This was a very narrow road, plant growth on both sides. I could not find a place to turn around for at least one kilometer. Along with that, there was sand on the road in some places four or five inches deep.
I had to drive in about half a mile where I could finally find a place to turn around. And, on the way in on this road, it was kind of downhill; so, I knew it would be uphill on the exit. Finally found a place where I could turn around.
While there, I gathered up some wood and loaded up the van.
To get out of here I knew would be a scary drive. To get through the sand, I had to take off at full tilt as fast as I could to go. It was hard to even steer, but I made it through and was so happy I got back to the main road.
This will make for a great fire for the night.
You will see photos of the splendid fire.
11/9—Overnight the rain started. It did not let up for all day, more and more drops came down. So, I spent my day in the office of the park on the computer.
Glad I did the fire last night because the rain started in the morning; off and on somewhat heavy. Most of the day it continued.
The main reason I get a campsite is to have a fire. I knew that there would be rain this day and the next, so I went to ask for my money back for the second night, I found out they do not give refunds. I ended up staying the night again in site number 160.
Trees all around, it was very dark and quiet. I am glad I did end up there again for a good sleep.
This stove burns only wood, no cost, and a great stove!
For the last two days I could not find my wallet. I sort of knew it was somewhere in the van (hoping.) I did not panic, I did not get upset. My mom taught me well, in these kinds of circumstances she would have said things like, “Well, you will find it, or you won’t”.
A simple thought I apply to many areas of my life. Either it will work or it won’t. If you think this way you avoid undue frustration and irritation. In fact, when I could not find the wallet I was already thinking about what my next steps might be to solve the problem.
On my computer I keep a list of everything that I keep in the wallet. I only keep one of my credit cards and one debit card, the others I keep in a separate place in the van. In fact, I keep a second wallet with all the same cards just I case something like this were to occur.
It ended up that I did find the wallet, my billfold was on the front floor under some papers. I learnt to be more careful and keep better track of where the wallet is, always.
Ocala National Forest.
So glad to be back here.
What a wonderful area.
11/10—I had a great fire for the night. You will see photos of be splendid fire.
But, the rest of that day and the next head rain, much rain. I spent the day in the office of the campground.
I seldom eat pig, but at the last food-bank I went to they gave me a package of bacon. So, there was breakfast. I used scissors to cut the package in two, so the slices would fit in my pan. It actually tasted good. I will have the other half tomorrow.
Overnight the rain started. It did not let up for all day, more and more it came down. So, I spend my day the office on the computer.
11/11—The rest of the bacon for breakfast, yum.
Overnight, the rain let up. This morning I will have to look for my wallet. Yesterday, I could not find it, but I did not look thoroughly, because of the rain.
As I’ve written before, when something bad happens like, not finding my wallet, I don’t panic and I don’t get upset. I believe it’s in the van and yesterday could not look because of rain, today I will find it.
My Mom had taught me some great lessons. I can hear her now saying, “Either you’ll find it or you won’t.” So simple, yet so true. You see, when there is nothing you can do to solve a situation, you have start thinking of solutions.
It ended up that my wallet was on the floor in the front passenger side. I learnt to be more careful where I put my holder of money and cards, and what I do with it.
I remember now I had a bunch of stuff in my hands and put it all down together. In the future, if I have a bunch of stuff, I will sort and put it away where it goes.
Today I’m torn and not sure what the future holds. Either, it’s going south for warmer weather, or north to go see my new friend, Alice.
We connected through Facebook and have grown closer and closer. It’s one thousand miles to the north, but if things work out right, I will go to her.
As you may know, I have been so lonely. But, with Alice, it’s not just to feed the need of a lonely life. I have been smitten with this woman. We met through Facebook and she wrote me things like this >>
This was sent to me by Alice >>
I’m a lady who lives life as it comes to me dear. I don’t worry about tomorrow, for it will be here no matter what I do. The best days of my life are yet to come and i am looking for someone who will love and care about me for a long time relationship that can lead to marriage Kit..She is planning to call me about 5 p.m. this evening. That call will be the deciding factor. Of course, you will find out my decision later. I do have to say, I miss so much having a love in my life.
About 1 p.m., the rains came on strong. There are people down swimming in the water, but they packed up and left. Funny, they were here to go swimming, but a little rain scared them away? They are going to get wet while swimming, seems so funny to me.
As the rain let up, and with no one around, it’s time for me to go into the water. The weather is always so clear here, I’m told that there are seven freshwater Springs which feed into the lake. What a wonderful place to bathe.
With no one around, naked time. The water Felt So Good, I got very clean.
11/11—How embarrassing! I’ve got to tell you about it. I’ve been corresponding with Alice for a few weeks. We have developed somewhat of a loving friendship.
She told me she was in Buffalo, New York and wanted me to come there to be with her. She told me she was 33 and very lonely and I was the man for her. (How could I fall for this shit.) Well, I did and fell head over heels—just from text.
As you know, at the time I was in Florida, the northern part. I decided I would drive the thousand miles up to Buffalo, New York to be with Alice and her daughter Angela. I have seen pictures of them both, pretty Oriental ladies. I heard a recording of Alice’s voice, sounded very nice and sincere.
She told me her phone was not working right– and I believed her! And there were other things, also, there were just not lining up.
So I got halfway up there and thought to myself, what the hell are you doing? Searching Facebook I connected with Alice with some pertinent questions.
Or, maybe I am wrong and she really does desire me?
Of course, she wrote back, saying she needed money—again (I never did send her any.) I told her I was just going to turn around at that point and return South.
Alice was a great dream I was having. I was seeing the future with this woman. She also wanted to have children with me and I saw a new family and such. What a knucklehead was I.
It ended up that I did depart and started off. I’m glad the cost of gas it is less than 2 bucks now. I had told her that I was going to give her $100 when I saw her. So to justify the cost of gas I’m thinking, well I didn’t give to give her a hundred bucks.
On my Way South, I stopped by Congaree National Park again. Because of the rain there’s not much to see. It was how about 3:30 and I was going to plan to stay there overnight, but with nothing to do or see, I Departed.
Going for the South, I stopped by Calhoun County Library. I’m able to use their Wi-Fi in the parking lot. So, I may just stay here overnight. It’s so interesting not knowing where you going to sleep every night.
No more Facebook love for me.
As I was passing Charlotte, NC, on the way south did you see me wave, Liisa?
Back down to Salt Springs in Ocala Park. A wonderful area to come back to.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.
