    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>

Not much happened this week, projects in the house to take care of and enjoying my time with Beth. As you know, we married recently, a big change for each of us – but the right thing for us to do.

In life, we make time for what is important to us.

These things are important to me, so I made the time.

Here are some ideas for you to follow if you need to find things to do, yourself >>

1 – Take better care of you!
    Start with some little things.
Get a haircut before you really need one.
Go to sleep a little earlier, wake a little earlier.
Take an hour to work on your juggling.
    Eat your veggies.
Pick one thing at a time and complete it.

2 – Pander in passions and hobbies.
Do whatever it is that you love, even if it’s just checking out a website about a passion or sideline. Go to a specialty shop during your lunch break or on your way home from work one day, drive a different route, and just look around. Do what YOU love.

3 – Initiate long and intimate conversations with loved ones.
Instead of waiting for the perfect time, go ahead and start a deeper conversation with a loved one, even if you’re in the middle of the living room. Don’t wait for them to be the one to start it; make time to go for the conversation at the moment. It will make you feel awesome.

4 – Listen to other people without judgment.
This takes intention rather than time. The next time someone that you usually pass judgment on or have expectations about speaks, let them talk without interruption, just take the time to listen instead of speaking.

    5 – Read extraordinary books.
It may seem like it’s going to leave you with less time, perhaps, to read through the latest gossip magazine or website, but you’d be surprised how easy it is to fit in reading a classic piece of literature. Check one out and leave it on your counter-top or bedside table for a few nights.

6 – Write things by hand
(When is the last time you sent someone a hand-written letter?)
Instead of sending an email to a friend, co-worker, boss, employee, child or romantic interest, put down some handwritten words. It takes a short amount of time and the intimacy of authoring a handwritten note, but has much value in this time-crunched life.

    7 – Sing!
Sing while driving, walking, doing handiwork, or doing housework. Raising your voice in song slows down time a little bit, can make you smile, and gets your physical body moving in a different way. It’s joyous and energizes you, so take the time to do it even if you’re not a great singer.

    8 – Take a train or a bus somewhere.
Taking a train or bus on a short little excursion is relaxing, meditative, and gives you a break that’s a bit different than your regular day. You can take kids, a partner, or a friend and make it fun with them, too.

    9 – Celebrate!
Stop and celebrate silly things other than the normal birthdays and anniversaries. Find (or make) a reason to buy balloons and a cake and invite some friends to celebrate a little milestone in your life. Make it a little party for yourselves.

10 – Just sit and listen to music you like.
Listen to music without doing something along with listening. Sit and put on some music that you enjoy, perhaps the type of music you don’t usually listen to. Try some violin music, something from another language, or music younger people are listening to. Ask your parent what their favorite music was as a teen and sit and listen to that!

11 – Putting your personal health first.
For some reason, we make ourselves busy and don’t take the time at the top of the list to put our health first. Take the time to do this. I joined a gym recently and started working out. What do you need for your health?

    12 – Love.
Take the time for love, it really doesn’t matter who it is aimed towards. Sometimes we take the people we love for granted. Look around at the people in your life and show them that you love them. Or take the time to tell them in a longer way than you may usually do. Describe the things you love about them.

13 – Make an animal friend.
Adopt a pet, if only temporarily. If you cannot, visit a zoo, an animal shelter, or a friend with pets and take the time to spend with them. An animal can give you a feeling of calm that you cannot get anywhere else. Beth and I love our dog, Jemma, and she adds so much to our life.

14 – Paint something in your home.
You don’t have to be a Picasso, I am not. Just go into the local arts and crafts shop and get some basic acrylic paints, some brushes, and a canvas. You don’t have to be artistic to dip a brush into some colors and spread it on the canvas to paint. It’s worth the time it takes and it will add much to your life. ———————-
     15 – Record a video of yourself.
Use a video camera, your phone, computer, or a friend’s and talk about your life in a video. As you look back years later you will be glad you did. You can keep this just for yourself or share it with others of your choice. It’s worth the few minutes it takes to yourself on camera for later.

    16 – Move your body.
Take the time to move! It doesn’t have to be a full exercise program, just enjoyable. Put on some music and just move with it, really doesn’t matter how. Move your legs, your elbows, your fingers, your knees, your ankles. Every part of you that can move, move it! It heals your mind and body when you take the time to move.

17 – Write your bucket list.
Do you have a list of things to do before you die? It is a short time we have in life, it is time to start. It’s a great thing to take the time to get things done. You are more likely to do the things you want to do if it’s written down, so make a list.

    18 – Perform deep breathing.
Take the time daily to pause and take a few deep breaths—big breath in, big breath out. It fills your lungs with oxygen and relaxes you. Sometimes we go on, racing around and barely breathing. Breath is life.

    19. – Look into your eyes in the mirror, yes, that’s you.
Stop in front of the mirror every day for an extra 3 seconds, lock eyes with you and say, “I love you” to yourself. This will help you heal and get on with a better life.

    20 – Be tech-free.
Beth especially likes this one. Taking tech-free time, even if only for an hour a day, frees your mind and helps you realize that you can have ‘time off’ every day. When is the last time you safely climbed a tree? Try it and see how it feels. You may want more than an hour. Perhaps a half-day, once a week.

21 – Spend time in and with nature.
All the great creators, artists, and writers, speak of how sitting or walking in nature, on a daily basis, has been one of the keys to their success. No matter how the weather is, make time for getting back to nature daily, even just for a few moments.
    ———————-
This may seem like a rather long list, yet if you pick just a couple things on this list that you know won’t take much time and go for it, your life energy will shift.

We get so busy, and there seems to be this big rush to the finish line. Just remember that on the way to the finish line, there is a beautiful view—open your eyes and see it.
    ———————-
These are just a few ideas for you, I’m sure you can think of more. Let me know your ideas, please.

Life is happening all the time – are you keeping up?

    WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>

Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking.

This is why I find them so interesting, challenging, and important on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves as well as others.

Inspirational quotes and ideas provide us with a quick and timely burst of wisdom to get our focus back, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion.

I hope to inspire you with my words.

    Words have power.

At any age, you can (and should) make changes to make your life better.

You see, the way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determines everything that happens in your life. It all derives from your quality of thinking.

When you improve the quality of your thinking,

you change the quality of your life—sometimes instantly!

Just as positive words can make someone smile, and/or, a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your own thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control!

In fact, you have complete control over only one thing in the universe — your thinking — and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

To keep your motivation, you have to use each day as an opportunity for improvement, to be better, to get a little bit closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it!

    Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
Motivational words, yes, they’re just words.
But they’re positive words; they will keep you on track.
Remember, you are only as young as the last time you changed your mind.
Keep your thoughts and self-talk fun and productive and always reaching for advancement.
Very little is needed to make a great life.
I hope these words I pick do help you.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

3/13—Today I made some juggling/flower sticks for our friend, Tomara. She took photos at our wedding (they came out great). She asked me if I would make her a set of juggling/devil sticks, and I did. I like to make things and to make them so that they turn out excellent. That is a choice in everything you do, to make it mediocre or go for excellence. Do right.

Also, because we have two male bunnies already, we got a lady with the long ears. Yes, we will be putting them together later, I will let you know what occurs.

Here is our new one, Fern.

3/14—For the fireplace, we had purchased a bunch of wood chopped up for us. But, to start a fire you need to use smaller wood, kindling it is. So, off I went in search of small wood.

You might have found us on the ground today. It is, at times, called “Earthing”. Felt good to lay in the sun with Jemma and Beth. Healing, perhaps.

3/15—When we got the rabbits we initially kept them in the house with us. After a few days I discovered I am deathly allergic to the cute little bunnies. We had them inside because it was still cold at night. But, they had to go out – I could not breathe and my allergies were horrendous. So, out they went to their bunny-hutch.

3/16—I could not take it anymore! So, off I went to the doc about my allergies. I was prescribed three different medications. Now I just have to wait until the meds are mailed to me – until then I will have to go through agony – yikes!

To add to our zoo, today Beth bought us a turtle, very nice. We also purchased a tank, the only home this little shelled creature will ever know. I can’t feel bad for this little one, if she has nothing to compare it to and knows nothing else.

How about you, do you want more to your world? Also, we got the turtle because I will not be allergic to the little terrapin.

Included in our zoo are the horses across the road out front. There was just one there, I started calling and all four made their appearance. What a nice thing we have so close to us.

    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>

That person you think of as “yourself” exists only for you, and even you don’t really know who the person is. Every other person you meet, have a relationship with, or make eye contact with on the street, creates a version of “you” in their heads, which is different for each. This, as you see each person in a different way.

Remember, you are different. You’re not the same person to your mom, your dad, your siblings, as you are to your coworkers, your neighbors, your friends, or anyone else.

There are a thousand different versions of yourself out there, in people’s minds. A different “you” exists in each version, and yet your “you”, “yourself”, isn’t really a “someone” at all. This makes you special, of course.

Your vision of yourself should have beauty a part of. Can you see yourself in that light, as a beautiful person? You must have the confidence to see yourself in this light. As you have beauty, Rabbits have a beauty all their own.

1.”Get up every morning, tell yourself you are beautiful and gear up to win!”

    – Manushi Chhillar.

    2. “How dare the world define beauty. God defined beauty when he made you! You are beautiful, you are a true beauty just the way you are!”

    – Rachel Hamilton.

    3. “By choosing healthy over skinny you are choosing self-love over self-judgment. You are beautiful!”

    -Steve Maraboli.

    4. “You are worthy of love and respect.
You are beautiful, gifted, and intelligent.
Don’t let the storm make you forget it.”

    – Russell T Davies.

    5. “Every single thing about you is beautiful.”

    – James Frey.

    6. “You are beautiful because of the light you carry inside you. You are beautiful because you say you are, and you hold yourself that way.”

    – Mary Lambert.

    7. “Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.”

    – Sophia Loren.

    8. “You are beautiful and your beauty is in your optimistic attitude towards life, in your generous heart and in honest thoughts.”

    – Unknown.*

    9. “I just want everyone to know you are beautiful in your own skin”

    – Cheryl Burke.

    10. “You are beautiful.
    You are strong.
    You are worth it.
    You are loved.”

    – Macaile Hutt.

Beth wrote this of our rabbits >>

THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF MARRIAGE IS ALL ABOUT THE RABBITS

For Kit’s 63rd birthday I bought us 2 little Lionshead bunnies. He was very excited about getting them and fixing up the old chicken coop to house them.

I wanted a double-sided long hutch to put under the bathroom window so I could hear if anything tried to get into the yard to harm them.

Less worry for me. But Kit has his own ideas and he enjoys having a project to work on. And so, the nightmare begins?

One little bunny had 3 black dots on his face, the name, “Juggles”, fit quite well. Of course, a juggler needs a magician, so named the other, “Merlin”, or course.

He went about planning how to rewire the bottom of the 10×10 dog yard to keep the rabbits safe when they ran around. Kit has an issue with anything being shut in, locked up, or closed off.

He has removed the bathroom door and the pantry door in the house and he rarely remembers to close a door behind him, which provides me with some exercise going behind him to shut them.

The wooden coop inside the dog kennel is large enough to house the rabbits comfortably without letting them run loose, but Kit had a plan. He built them a ramp using sand and paint so their little paws wouldn’t slip when they would go in and out of their house. He reinforced most of the bottom third of the wire with smaller wire. He told me there is no way they can escape. He let the rabbits loose.

I looked out to check on them and saw the tiny white bunny, Juggles, running free in our yard!!! Panic! I screamed, and we both ran outside to corner the bunny but we couldn’t find it. He got Jemma on her leash to hopefully track it down and point it out so we could catch it.

Kit said, “A rabbit will not run far from his home, we don’t have a lot to worry about.” Although, these words were not too calming for me.

Jemma stood by the car wagging her tail so we thought that Juggles must be under my car. (Later we realized that Jemma thought she was going for a ride and was merely excited.) Kit ran Jemma back into the house as I went around the car looking for Juggles.

Mind you, I had been to the doctor for excruciating pain in my neck and shoulder, and I was trying to save our bunny and keep my arm still at the same time.

We could not see Juggles anywhere.

I looked over towards the hutch and there he was back inside the kennel. How??? Kit figured he slipped out through the tiny opening at the bottom corner of the door. I didn’t see how he could have gotten back in because the wire was bent into the kennel.

It just was not possible. But my dear husband said it was, so we will go with that. Kit fixed the space and assured me that they can’t escape.

The next day, Kit went out to play with the rabbits and let them loose and came into the house with that scary voice, “Beth, I can’t find the rabbits. They’re gone.”

I thought he was playing with me but the tone of his voice was serious. Out we go to the kennel. I looked inside the coop and there sat the larger bunny, Merlin, eating his timothy hay. Because of his coloring, Kit didn’t see him. We looked over every inch of the whole kennel and then outside in the yard when I spotted Juggles inside the coop.

How did he do that?He had to have been hiding really well. Once again, Kit went around the whole kennel checking for any openings they could have slid through. He told me there is no way they can escape.

For my own mental health, I hung medium-sized crafting bells every few feet around the entire bottom of the kennel, and hung a few on the top. If anything got in or out I should be able to hear the bells from the house.

The next morning, Kit spent time in the kennel watching the rabbits while I was still in the process of waking up. I heard him fly into the house saying that Juggles got loose. Many swear words went through my head but I kept them in there.

He put Jemma on her leash to lead us to wherever our bunny might be and I saw Juggles running around my car. Kit took Jemma inside and I chased Juggles but that little bugger ran under the woodpile and right back inside the kennel!

How in the world did he do that?

We may have named them wrong. Juggles is more like Merlin the magician. We examined the side of the kennel where Juggles reentered, and there was a small gap. How in the world did he know this? Once again, Kit got out the wire and reinforced the kennel and said to me, there is no way they can escape now.

My new husband will be the reason I may be committed to a mental institution one day. And there will be no way I can escape.

    ==================

Beth and I are enjoying the bunnies. Their home is completely secure now, no worries about any escape.

When my daughters, Jasmine and April, were young, we had a big rabbit hutch; the rabbits were quite a delight. How about you, have you ever had one of these fun and furry little creatures?

BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS >>

From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”

Sometimes you need a drastic change in your life to advance, a kick to get you moving again. And yet, there are losses that a kick will do nothing for, such as the death of someone close. We have all had the loss of someone close to us.

When you experience the loss of a loved one, it can really help if you take time to write a letter to this person describing how you feel about them and that you are sad they died. Describe your feelings in detail. Read this letter to yourself every day out loud with a smile on your face and it can really comfort you as you go through the stages of grief.

The six stages of grief we have to go through after a change or loss—denial, isolation, anger, bargaining, depression, and ϐinally, acceptance. Getting through each stage can be difficult. Take the time you need, work on getting through each stage and back to life as soon as you can.

In each of my life changes, I remember taking the time to go through each of these stages as I was recovering. Each stage takes its own time to go through. Tears may show, yelling can occur, sadness will be there. Always keep in mind that the grief will not be forever.

As you are getting through your grief, help others through theirs. The more you can help others through their difficulties and change, the sooner you will find your way back to happiness. Understand, though, that you will never be the same after change.

WE MUST SURRENDER TO THE CHANGE,
AND THEN LEARN TO USE IT FOR OUR FUTURE.

Surrendering allows us to move through the change and learn from it. It does not mean giving up; it simply means accepting the change as is.

Yes, this acceptance of change can be a terribly hard thing to do, but it must be done in order to move forward. You must look toward the future and think of what has to change to make your life even better than it currently is.

Find the power in yourself and don’t give it away by holding onto negative factors from any change. As we go through changes, we have to focus on them at the time, but don’t hold on too long—move your focus to your positive future as soon as you can.

    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>

Having been through many life changes, I am so happy about my most recent. Beth and I have married a week ago, we are both so happy we found each other and married.

With this post I want to show that we all go through changes, it is how we handle and deal with the change that is important. I’ve posted these changes some months ago, I have many new readers and want to catch them up.

You see, I’ve had a tumultuous life, traveling from being one of the top jugglers in the world to lie in a coma for more than a month, learning to speak and walk all over again, passing through a failed marriage, run down by a truck the second time and finally emerging as a writer and successful motivational speaker.1

I have learned to turn adversity into opportunity. Now let Kit teach you how to do the same thing in your own life—FIND SUCCESS! kitsummers.com

    =====================================

    In Kit’s own words:

I rose to great heights as a world-class juggler.

Then fell face-down to the earth through the aforementioned accident and subsequent 37-day coma.

Then rose again with the writing and publishing of my first book, Juggling with Finesse, and starting my fresh salsa business.

Fell back down after getting hit by a truck—the second time.

Up again by starting work on this book to help you.

Back down when put in jail for a month on a false charge (which was dismissed.)

Ascended once again, traveling throughout the world to see and experience new things.

    Up-down, up-down.

Join me on my roller-coaster ride as I bring your life to higher levels.

Not much happened this week, take a look >>

2/27—Back to the pet store to get more little fishies. We do like our animals.

    2/28—My birthday today!

Beth made the day fantastic, with a culmination of a delightful Mexican dinner. She looked up and found two bunnies to buy for me. We went and picked up our new friends and it is such a good thing.

3/1—Today I worked on the bunny hutch and saw a doctor. I am alright, if you would like to know, and so are the bunnies.

3/2—Beth and I went to another meeting of the Wednesday group who gets together for breakfast. I performed a magic trick – boy, I really do miss performing.

3/3—Got me a new bike! I had damaged mine when it was on the back of the van and I backed into something – whoops. This one is a multi-speed mountain bike, very nice. Time to get back in shape, I will be riding, much.

3/4—I’ve written before, “As I have often said, “If someone else can do it, so can you, you just have to find the way that will work for you.

I’ve not done much with electricity, and I haven’t learned much to bring on my confidence. Beth contacted her friend, Bubba, who did the work, excellently. And then, when we went to pay, he said to think of it as a wedding gift. What a kind thing to do, I must say.

Today we returned to Mabrey and Johnny’s to get more firewood. We were paying $75 for a truckload, free is much better. Also, we did clean up their place some. They have a huge plot of land right on Steven’s creek. We plan on returning to do much exploring as it gets warmer.

    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
    ====================

Beth and I were wed this week, oh happy day!

It is each our third marriage, now it is until our death.

I wrote this wedding vow for the ceremony connecting me with Beth >>

    We are both writers.

Now we will be writing the love story of our life together.

I am so glad I am a part of this book we are scripting, Beth.

I had been living in my van and traveling all around the US.

I told you before, “I was looking all over the world for you”.

Now I have found you and we are together forever.

We have known each other for such a short time.

In that time you have become my best friend, mentor, playmate, lover, confidant, and my greatest challenge.

You make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible.

I will give you the ring—wear it with love and joy—as like us, this ring has no end, and neither shall my love for you.

I choose you to be my wife this day and forever.”

    ===========================

    Here are Beth’s Vows >>

Last May, my last week of work before I retired, this guy in mismatched clothes walked into the library and asked me where he could plug in his laptop.

I told him and then he walked away, turned around, and gave me the biggest smile full of white teeth and I said to myself, “This isn’t good. He is going to ruin my retirement.” I just knew.

The second you looked at me, I felt in my heart, I am going to keep this one.

I did not want a relationship. You worked very hard to change my mind, and I am so glad that you did.

    And, here we are!

You didn’t ruin anything. You have added to my life in so many ways.

It took us 62 years to find each other and I want at least 62 more to spend with you. I am really having a good time, you make me laugh a lot, and you make me so happy. I love you, Kit.

    =========
These words were written by Beth >>
“Most of this week was spent preparing for our wedding. Shopping for food, cleaning up the floors, moving the paint cans and brushes, getting the spare room ready for Daniel to sleep in, making sure we had thank you gifts/ cards for our bridal party, and for me, trying not to freak out!

I wanted very much to marry Kit, but the stress of putting together a “perfect” event was getting to me. I’m not great with any type of party. Give me a book and sit me in a corner and I’m quite content.

Our wedding went so smoothly! It was a wonderful day. Our friends who witnessed the event were happy and joyful and commented on how lovely the wedding was. Most were taking pictures. The weather was warm for February, so I couldn’t wear my cape comfortably yet Kit had a small fire going for ambiance. As long as he is happy, that’s all I want.

We are hoping to get out into the woods and hike and discover more in nature that we haven’t seen yet. But not bears or feral hogs. Maybe some little snails.

    =====

If you are alone and lonely, this should show you that there is always a way, they are looking for you as you look for them. Have this hope with a smile on your face, knowing that you will be together in not too long a time.

These ideas are good for finding someone new after you turn 50, 60, or 122. If you are with someone, congratulations. Use these ideas to build your relationship even stronger.

Finding love after 50 may feel like it’s a challenge, but it can be deeply rewarding with the right person, as I have found with Beth. You may have had past relationships, or gone through a divorce, or a death, and now you’re wondering what’s ahead.

There are still opportunities to start fresh, try new things, and find love along the way. Learn how the right frame of mind about love after 50 can help you to navigate dating in the modern world and find a more meaningful connection.

    Talk with Strangers

When was the last time you talked with someone you didn’t know? A lot of people stick with the people they know and keep to themselves and don’t reach out. That won’t help you meet people or find love!

It’s time to shake things up and start talking to people! When you are out, if you set an aim for this, there will be many chances to talk with someone new, even if briefly. This is such a smart strategy to practice because repetition will make this a lot easier. The most important thing is that you make a new friend. Finding a partner will add so much to your life.

The good news about talking to strangers is that once you do this often enough, you loosen up and make friends. Your confidence will rise and so will your power of attraction! Others will find a confident, happy person who is intriguing and magnetic, so this works to your advantage for sure.

    Stay Calm!

This is about learning to relax, but with a twist. You still need to go out to meet people or get online to set updates. The twist is, you are going to be relaxed about it. In other words, you are just going to meet a bunch of new people and stop worrying if each one could be “The One”. Mainly aim to meet a new friend.

The point is to take the pressure off others and yourself. Instead, see if you can have a simple and enjoyable conversation over a cup of coffee or tea or a glass of wine for an hour. That’s it.

When you are relaxed and not trying to put someone through your qualifying process with pointed questions that are no fun to answer, you will enjoy dating more.

Some people think this will be a big waste of time—Not true! You will feel more comfortable and be better at the first date chit-chat that helps both of you feel relaxed and comfortable.

A lot of people over 50 forget that they are also qualifying you, too. People look for others who make them FEEL good. Stop grilling your date and relax! Enjoy them and the date for what it is – a chemistry check to see if you want a second date – and if the other person wants one too.

    Rekindle Your Confidence!

Maybe it’s been some time since you last dated. If you were married or living with someone for 10, 15 or 20 years, you must realize how much the dating world has changed.

And, one of the biggest changes is YOU. When you were younger, being your relaxed self probably came naturally. But now you may be out of touch and out of practice. You’ve got to wake up!

Too many midlife people rely on their business skills to try to get the ball rolling with a new person. This backfires because you can end up in the friend zone or the networking space, but NOT the romantic spot you were hoping for.

Here’s the good news: finding love over 50 doesn’t have to be harder than it was when you were younger! Just different. And in many ways, it’s actually better to find love later in life. It was good for me.

Being older, you know exactly what you want, and what you don’t want. You’re less focused on physical attributes or how much money they make or whether they are aligned with your life goals.

You won’t settle for a “Good Enough” relationship, because if a person isn’t delivering what you need, you are totally fine being alone. You can be patient until the right person comes along.

You are completely free to find love after 50. It may take a little more effort, and you might have to get out of your comfort zone. You might need to do a little work on your confidence if you’re dating for the first time in years.

Important is that you are no longer trying to fit a mold to be what you think another person wants you to be. You are 100% happy being exactly who you are. If they don’t like it, they’re not for you.

I do hope you like reading my words,
please let me know how they might help you.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
2/19—Today Beth and I went to
    https://www.facebook.com/unclejunksthomson/
And what a fun place it was.
We went to get a terrarium for our pet snail, but the snail habitat had already been sold.

2/20—Two more days until we are wed, happy day. Beth seems to be nervous and excited. I think of it as another show? It is looking to be a fantastic day for us.

The wedding will take place on the land of Gary DuTeau, we had become friends on Facebook and
he invited me to come and see him. He owns land in Plum Branch, SC right on Stevens Creek, the perfect wilderness for the joining of Beth and me.

I was planning on having Gary as the best man for the wedding, would have been perfect. Then it is ending up that his wife has cancer and he must be with her. Understandable, of course.

I contacted my old friend from High School, Daniel Powell, and he suggested he would fly out to be my best man for the wedding. That made me so happy.

2/21—Had a good sleep last night, that is necessary in that Daniel will be arriving about midnight, 40 miles away at Augusta airport and I am going to pick him up. After the wedding tomorrow at 2:22pm, he will fly out at about 7pm. What a great friend I have in Daniel Powell.

Cleaned the house thoroughly today, looks good. I need to redo part of the kitchen floor, later, though.

    2/22/22—What a magnificent day!

The weather was perfect, the waterfalls added special music and the woods were welcoming as we said our words in front of a small group of our friends. Things could not have gone any better.

Our fairy tale wedding is the beginning of the rest of our happy life together. I find that, everyday, my love for Beth grows. How big can it get?

2/23—Went to see our friend, Mea, who’s goat just had a baby. This little black goat was only one day old and so cute.

2/24—Today we turned in our completed marriage license to the probate judge’s office and then headed out to the DMV, then on to the social security office in Greenwood. Changing Beth’s last name to Summers is complicated.

While in town we bought 3 new fish for our aquarium. Sadly, we lost (not misplaced, the little aquatic vertebrate died.) our last goldfish on the morning of our wedding day.

2/25—And today we are preparing the former chicken coop to house the new bunnies we will be adopting this coming week. Beth had 5 hens and loved them so much. Unfortunately, the local raccoons loved them just as much. A lot of loss in Beth’s life.

Our photographer friend, Tomara, brought by our wedding photos to look at and choose from. I’ve added some to this blog.

Since yesterday, the love between Beth and I has grown twofold; and continues to grow all the time. We have never been happier.

    ====================

Finding success is a matter of discovering what you love to do,
developing a passion for what you love,
then completely delving into that passion.

You WILL be victorious if you:

    Keep things natural.

    Challenge yourself.

    Take the time to juggle.

    Make rational, educated choices.

Continue to make small perfections toward everything.

Make decisions quickly and then keep following through.

    Measure and record your progress.

Stop now and then to enjoy nature and the outdoors.

Drink more water, eat more salads.

    Juggle some more.

Get outside to walk or exercise on a daily basis.

Do something nice for your friend.

Spend your time around like-minded people.

Stay positive and learn from mistakes.

    Keep juggling.

    Praise others for their success.

Don’t have concerns about making everything picture perfect.

    Decide and take action—NOW!

Be busy toward advancement, not wasting time.

    SMILE!—you’re making it.

BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS >>
The following is from my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”.

    Bring on the Passion!
The writing of this book was not made into a passion for at least twenty years. I had written the outline and knew where I wanted to go with it, but just couldn’t, or wouldn’t, gather up the passion to tackle it.

Then, one day, I said to myself,
“You must start. You must help other people.”

That is where my passion came from, knowing that I was helping you in your life. So, I let it take over. Now it is the only thing on my mind, and I am pressing myself to write quality words to help to advance your life.

To be successful, you have to learn to take on the responsibility. Remember that success is continually accomplishing goals that are worthwhile to you. Excellence and success are not so much trying to reach perfection. Rather they are the continual process of improvement of your life and the people around you.

    Success!
As a star juggler on stage, I had to maintain my drive toward excellence in my juggling skills and performances.

You can have success regardless of the direction you take your life. Success is the continuing progression of being motivated to become more while striving toward brilliance. As with the writing of this book, the path to success is always under construction. This path should lead away from you always.

Continually strive to run down that path, knowing you will never reach the finish line. It is a progressive path, not an end to be reached. To be successful, you must develop a certain drive forward toward your target and not let anything get in your way. Achievement is a habit that you can and must develop for yourself.

Success is a journey, an adventure, not somewhere you end up. It’s not the goal of success that’s the big payoff; it’s in working toward your goal where the payoff really happens.

    The Drive
Come to think of it, after what I went through, I could have just given up and stayed in bed and been a tomato – I mean a vegetable. I’m not sure where I got the drive, maybe from juggling. I do know that everyone can have that drive – if they push themselves!

The sad thing is that so few people truly push themselves toward excellence. Things in life are always changing. Make things happen for you and live life to the fullest. Successful people are those who do what they have to do, not just what they want to do.

Problems can be our opportunities, if we look for the good in things that happen. This is called opportunity awareness. Look for opportunities in everything that happens. From the accident, I learned that I had the opportunity to motivate others with lessons that I learned.

Plenty of Room at the Top
Think success in everything you do. Make it a habit. You will then do the things necessary to bring success into your life. When I was first learning to walk again after the accident, therapists would take me for walks holding onto a belt that was around me to keep me from falling.

The first time that I walked outside, I noticed a bush on the side of the path. When we approached the bush, I jumped over it. My therapist got mad, but this was something I had to do to prove to myself that I could. I knew I would not fail.

First, you have to analyze yourself and know that you can do it. I never do anything while thinking defeat. I knew there was plenty of room at the top; I just had to find a way to get there. As I was moving forward, I focused on improving my own performance, rather than hurting anyone else’s progress.

What does success mean to you?
Success means different things to different people. For many people, success can mean mansions, private jets, limos, and trips to exotic islands any time they want. To others, success is having a healthy baby. To some, it might mean being able to juggle five balls. Still, to others, success is a good job.

It is not what you get that makes you successful. It is what you are continuing to do with what you’ve got. Real success is working toward a worthy ideal, for your benefit and also for the benefit of others – rather than at their expense.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
2/15—Time for a dentist for a cleaning. Actually, this happened twice now. I called and let them know I just want a cleaning. They examined me and told me I need a “deep” cleaning, and would need one each year. The cost is around five hundred bucks!

Of course, I said no and left the place. Yes, they are in business to make money, but to want to charge me for something I didn’t need—that’s just wrong.

Needing more firewood, I went out toward the forest nearby. This is actually Sumter National Forest—a magnificent place. We must explore more of this great land in the future. I did find some good wood for the fire.

    Sumter National Forest

2/17—A visit to our friend Mea to get more wood from her to use in the fire, on her land is much. Mea would (wood?) chop it up with her chain saw as drove around her land and discovered downed trees and limbs. We obtained enough to last us a while.

2/18—With Lee we went to Steven’s Creek where we will wed, to show her how to get there and checked out the area. This is a place, I think, that not many people come to. But I saw, on both sides of the road, people discarded much rubbish. I will have to return the day before the wedding to clean the area.

Right near where our wedding will take place.

We are expecting a minimal number of people to attend (will you be there?) The temp is showing that it might be up to 26.66 Degrees Celsius (that’s about 80, for you that don’t know the language.)

Should be a terrific day for the wedding of Beth and me. As I wrote before, you will see photos next week.

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK >>
    Remember about reading books?
Beth is an ex-librarian, she loves to read books.

This week pick a book or subject and read that whole volume.
Not on your computer, a physical book.
It is time to get back to this previous passion.
