WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK
I received these words from my friend, Larry Zieger.
Larry taught at the Point Loma High School I graduated from in 1977 >>
“Kit- I wish you a wonderful, creative, inspiring New Year!
I hope you take your blogs and create a best-selling autobiography!”
=====
Also, this week, I heard from Richard Francis.
(You may know him better as juggler Dick Franco)
As a juggler, Dick was my first big inspiration. Here is Dick >>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPtcLWakLbM
=====
Dick wrote these words to me >>
“Hey Kit, Merry Christmas, and I hope you’re doing well! I read your blog when I can, but sometimes it is unavailable in Asia. When I was on the swim team in college, I could hold my breath for a long time. I don’t remember the exact amount, but it was more than one minute. Later in life, there is no point in doing that, so I breathe regularly now.”
=====
I’m currently staying near my daughters in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Greg Golden, who works for Selective Insurance (that is the insurance company of the guy who injured me back in 1982), is searching for a location where I can live. You see, New Jersey is a no-fault state, so they have to cover anything related to the accident for the rest of my life. Thanks for your help on this, Greg.
You will soon find out where I will be residing.
It may be near you.
It sounds like I could live anywhere in the US.
I am thinking of warmer weather.
I will be near my daughters for now.
Let me know where I should end up.
Of course, I will continue to publish this blog.
Each week, I want to inspire you and help you improve.
===================================
THE CURRENT BLOG—“Whistle while you work.”
I’ve been unable to whistle for much of my life.
Are some people just physically unable to whistle?
But it has to be vital for you to learn if you want to know how.
It’s not crucial for me–so I won’t be whistling.
Things I spend time on, like this blog, must be essential for me to learn and do.
But this has been bothering me for a while.
I’ve heard that 40% of Americans can’t whistle at all.
Do those 40% just not know how to whistle?
Or are they physically unable to do so?
Is whistling a skill that anyone can learn?
HERE ARE SOME IDEAS TO TRY >>
I have often tried mainly using my tongue to whistle; you must use your whole mouth. The trick to whistling is to get the correct position for your lips and tongue and then blow the right amount of air:
Your mouth
Wet your lips and pucker them slightly, making a small opening. You can try exclaiming “Ooooh!” and keeping your lips positioned at the end of the exclamation.
Position your tongue
Place the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth, just behind your two front teeth. You can also press the tip of your tongue below the bottom of your lower teeth and curl it slightly upward.
Blow the right amount of air.
Blow gently and with a relatively small amount of air.
The louder the tone, the more you pucker and the harder you blow.
Use your fingers
You can use your fingers to hold your lips in place. For example, using both hands, you can form an “A” shape with your index and middle fingers and then blow through the hole between your fingers.
When whistling in the standard “pucker” style, you should slightly purse your lips to create a small opening, then forcefully blow air through it to produce the whistling sound, essentially forming a focused channel for the air to travel through, which can vary slightly depending on the individual’s lip shape
Practice in front of a mirror until you get it right.
So, a quick summation >>
1) Wet your lips and pucker them.
2) Blow air through your lips, softly at first. You should hear a tone.
3) Blow harder, keeping your tongue relaxed.
4) Adjust your lips, jaw, and tongue to create different tones.
LIVE FOR THE MOMENT — EVERY INSTANT!

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.
THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.
BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!
“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.
SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.
QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.
QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.
PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation often when we need it most.
WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things—helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.
THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.
READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

I HOPE THE FOLLOWING WORDS ADD TO YOUR LIFE >>
“If the pressure is getting to you, whistle. In a barely audible way. It’s the best way I know of to let go of tension. Music gets your mind off the situation, and the whistling melts the tension out of your body.”
—Fuzzy Zoeller
“Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.”
—Doug Larson
“To attempt to advise conceited people is like whistling against the wind.”
—Thomas Hood
“And it’s the funniest thing: as soon as I see it, the whistling in my ears stops, and the feeling of terror drains away, and I realize this whole time I haven’t been falling. I’ve been floating.”
—Lauren Oliver
“Whistling to keep myself from being afraid.”
—John Dryden
Oft in the silence of the night,
When the lonely moon rides high,
When wintry winds are whistling,
And we hear the owl’s shrill cry,
In the quiet, dusky chamber,
By the flickering firelight,
Rising between two sleepers,
Comes with a spirit all in white.
—Billy Boyd
“Referees are the law.
They have a whistle.
They blow it.
And that whistle is the articulation of God’s justice.”
—Louisa May Alcott
“I do not know which to prefer –
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after.”
—Harold Pinter
“Songs are usually unfit for whistling – indeed,
whistling (except to the person doing it) is unbearable.”
Wallace Stevens
“The Republicans are whistling past the graveyard. If we don’t change our policies on immigration, you’re going to be looking at Iran Deal after Iran Deal after Iran Deal. I can count on Americans to protect Israel. I don’t count on foreigners to care about Israel, and that’s who’s coming in to vote.”
—Ann Coulter
“I always say the Premier League is the best in the world, and I still feel it is an honor to play here, but English football suits my game. Football is more physical here; the ref is not whistling every foul.”
—Emre Can
“The measure of success was writing a song, recording it, and for it being in the hit parade in England. Success was about the postman walking up the garden whistling my song. I wasn’t trying to conquer the world.”
Gilbert O’Sullivan

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!
Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day, each moment!
12/28–Such a strange life I lead; I never could have imagined this life in my youth. Writing this blog to you helps me keep things together and keep things going forward.
I worked inside the van. I am so pleased with this vehicle—it just keeps going and going. It’s been somewhat rainy out. The windshield wipers have not worked for three days, so I’m unsure why. Now, it is the 29th, and they are suddenly working again. It is very strange, I must say.
12/29–Today, I met my daughter, April, and her husband, Jake, for breakfast—a Waffle House near them. I arrived early, so I am working on these words for you. It’s Sunday; I will attend church with the two of them. Wheatland Church — https://www.wheatlandpca.org/
The service was similar to all the other church services I have been to around the world >>
The audience stands and sings.
A pastor goes up and says words.
A different pastor goes up and says other words.
More singing.
I’ve been to many church services worldwide, and they all seem the same, which is sad. It’s a friendly community get-together that they bring God into. If you know me, you know that I have never believed.
12/30–I’ve decided to never live in a house again. I will upgrade my vehicle (and home) and always live better.
It’s always bothered me when someone has to go peep or poop; they say, “I have to go to the bathroom,” even when they are standing right in front of the little room. Are you of that ilk? When you have to go, say the words.
In my life, once or twice a night, I have to go and release some liquid into the toilet. This has been a hassle sometimes. For a few years now, I have had a container with a screw-on lid I keep with me to pee into at night as I lay there.
This is much easier than going into the bathroom to relieve myself. In the morning, you can just pour this into the toilet. Sorry, females out there, your plumbing is different; this would not work for you.
I also keep the same container in my van, so I no longer have to look for a place to relieve myself. After you go into the container, you can pour the yellow liquid onto the ground. It will dry, or the next rain will take care of it.
It is a matter of how much liquid you drink the night before. Not only will drinking ten beers affect you in weird ways, but you will also be peeing all night. There is nothing scary, stupid, or silly about this way of relieving yourself. Try it, and let me know if it works for you. By the way, you’re welcome.
12/31–It’s evening, so I have not done much today. I am feeling very lonely and sad now. I expect to celebrate New Year’s as I usually do—asleep. I tried to leave Beth a Happy New Year message, but she has blocked all my efforts.
Right now, I want to call a friend to cheer me up. I remain in my pain and misery, not being able to reach anyone. Right now, I want to cry. There is also a connection with my daughters in the area. Jasmine is away, but April is around and has a phone. Because I am alone here, I find myself yelling and cussing. Did you hear me?
The time now is 5:28 in the evening. I’ve just found that a mean and scary side of Beth has shown face. She is not the lovely lady I married a couple of years ago. Somehow, she developed a mean and frightening side to her being. She has blocked all the ways I can reach her. That hurts. I’ve allowed Beth to destroy me, a sad thing.
I’m not saying I am the best man anyone could be with; I have many faults.
But I must find someone to work with and create great love between us.
1/1/2025–HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As usual, I slept through the date change into 2025.
I don’t think I missed much.
And what did you do in our leap to 25?
I did some work on the van, but it was too cold and windy, so I stopped. I then drove to the bike repair shop to retrieve my bicycle. The mechanic had not even started on it yet, but right then and there, he trued my wheels, put on a brake cable, and tuned up my bike. I am quite happy with Horning’s Bike Shop in Ephrata, PA, and Clair’s low price.
I am very lonely now, with no one around or hearing from anyone. But I have adapted to this way of life, and loneliness does not affect me so much. For some strange reason, I want to call and talk with my mom right now, and she had many ideals and ideas about life. But she is dead now.
1/2–The brake light on the dash in my van has been on for a while. I took my van to a place I can walk to and left it off this morning. Later, I heard my van might be too old to get parts for and/or be hard to work on. It is time to get a new vehicle. Can you help? I seldom ask for help, but if you have a car or van or know someone who can help — please let me know.
Sometimes, extraordinary things happen. I brought out my bike, which I would ride to where the van was being worked on. I got on and did not feel comfortable or right. I was scared to ride on that busy road and see my van. I ended up returning my bike to the room, and I walked down to my van.
I’ve never had any fear of riding my bike or my unicycle. This is a changing world for my future, and that scares me. I’ve written before such a strange life I am living. At this point, I don’t know what my future could hold for me.
First, Beth is gone from my life.
Then my van is gone from my life.
Then my life is gone from this world?
It could happen.
Not only have I allowed Beth to destroy my life — she removed ALL photos of her and us from my computer!
I CAN’T BELIEVE SHE WOULD DO THAT!
I never saw signs of how evil Beth could become.
I never felt that meanness in the past from her.
Perhaps I am wrong about the photos, but . . .
Not only has she cut off ALL possible ways for me to connect with her, but she has hurt me in many other ways, too. I don’t think I am just being a crybaby — it hurts! I would have never started with or married her if I had known this about her.
I am so angry right now — I am surprising myself.
My van will be staying with the mechanic overnight. He needs to call some junkyards tomorrow to get a particular part for my van. It’s a good thing I found him, and that he is so close to the motel I am staying at. I can tell Brian knows his stuff.
1/3–Slept until 4 am; that’s good for me. I braved it and rode my kick down to get my van. I rode fine; no worries. It’s strange how scared my mind was to ride yesterday.
Brian got my brakes working perfectly again, and for just $90.10, I couldn’t be happier. Along with getting a good van back, I am delighted I rode my bike down with no problems. I did lower the seat a little; it was way up there,
Now that I have my van back and everything seems to be progressing, I’m curious about my path. I thought my van was kaput a few times, and it was done with. I am amazed that the van keeps going and going.
The snowdrops are starting to come down.
Now that I have my van fixed and running,
I want to go somewhere.
But there is nowhere for me to go.
DO SOMETHING NEW–DAILY!
THEN, KEEP DOING NEW FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.
Winter now, but there are still things you can grow.
And, remember about indoor gardening.
A self-supportive life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
You must look into it.
Because I am back on the road, there will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.
When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.
START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!
