============================
WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK–
Mainly staying around the hotel, I am staying at this week. They have Wi-Fi and a warm room, which is where you would find me. Edited and added to the blog, I hope you like it.
===================================
THE CURRENT BLOG–
Am I blind?
I don’t see it.
Mary Ellen lived with me, married for 23 years, and departed.
Tina was with me for a couple of years before breaking us up.
Beth was with me for a couple of years, married, before she broke us up.
I’m just not seeing what I am doing to chase these partners away from me.
I’ve tried to analyze my life to see what I am doing to chase away these loves of my life.
A couple of guys, too, want nothing more to do with me.
Am I just too stupid to figure out what is happening?
How am I so bad?
I’ve tried to understand why Beth made me leave and simply cannot. She said several things, but when added up, they seemed like things a person could handle. But I am alone and going on to live my life (but for how long?). I am told there is a God who runs our lives and will help—where would this God be?
For this blog, the subject is the idea of a god. If there were a god, would they hook me up with someone I could love intently? At this point, I do not say I do not believe in any God; it’s too big a picture to say that. But I acknowledge that there has never been sufficient “proof” of any god. I’ve studied and read the Bible, but there is nothing there.
=====
There are two questions I ask believers to answer to help me see where they are at >>
- Please give me your one BEST realistic and rational proof for your God.
- Why should I believe in this God?
Most get stumped and cannot answer this question.
Or, their answers are all over the place, and they cannot explain them.
=====
I’ve previously covered this subject–God told me to cover it again.
I still find many who believe, but I have yet to discover why.
It may be the hope for something after you are dead.
For me, when you’re dead, that’s nothing more.
I see so many squander this one life we have — hoping for something later.
I aim to see if someone can present me with a god I can believe in.
The idea that “God doesn’t make sense” is common, particularly when facing difficult situations or trying to understand the intricacies of suffering and life. Many struggle to reconcile their understanding of justice and morals with seemingly random world events, even if they believe in a higher power.
Myself, I believe that there is no God.
I’m beyond atheism.
Atheism is not believing in God.
Not believing in God is easy — you can’t prove a negative, so there’s no work to do.
And you can’t prove that there “isn’t” a bear in the trunk of my car.
Are you sure?
How about now?
Maybe he was hiding before.
Check again.
Did I mention that my definition of “bear” includes mystery, order, goodness, love, and a spare tire?
For me, it is a search for meaning in life. You must have a taste of life and keep moving ahead.
So, anyone who loves truth outside of themselves has to start by not believing in God and then look for evidence of God. You must search. You need to search for some objective evidence of a supernatural power. The atheism part is easy; this is not just about following but about applying yourself with questions.
Many who believe in a god do so because others do; they don’t want to be left out. These people allow themselves to follow, often without thinking. This brings me back to the two questions I asked previously. Can you answer the questions and still believe?
But telling yourself, “This I Believe” words demands something more personal, such as a “leap of faith” that helps one see life’s big picture and some rules. So, I’m saying, “This I believe: I believe there is no God.”
In life, I am not greedy. I have love, blue skies, rainbows, and seeing jugglers, which must be enough. It has to be enough, but it’s everything in the world, and everything in the world is plenty for me. It seems just rude to beg for more.
Believing there’s no God means I can’t be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That’s good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to treat people right the first time around. Asking a god for forgiveness after you do something terrible is ridiculous.
Not Believing there is a God stops me from being solipsistic. I can read ideas from all different people from all different cultures. Without God, we can’t agree on reality, and I can keep learning where I might be wrong. We can all keep adjusting so we can communicate.
People say, “I have faith; I believe this in my heart, and nothing you can say or do can shake my faith.” These people are not open to hearing any better ideas. I certainly will if someone can present the idea of a believable god. How about this: If there were a god, then this god would know precisely what it would take to have me believe–NOTHING!
Most religions say, “Shut up.” But most all obscenity is less insulting than, “How I was brought up, and my imaginary friend, means more to me than anything you can ever say or do.” So, believing there is no God lets me be proven wrong, and that’s always fun.
It means I’m learning something, and there is continuous learning in life.
The idea of a god limits us.
I must be careful not to offend. Both of my daughters were raised to believe, and they do. They delved into faith because their mother had them attend church each week. I went to and was often so bored I was almost sleeping. I went each week to try and learn how these people could believe.
I’ve heard it said, “Get ‘em while they’re young, then you have them for life.”
Believing there is no God means the suffering I’ve seen in my family, and indeed, all the suffering in the world isn’t caused by an omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent force that isn’t bothered to help or is just testing us but rather something we all may be able to help others with in the future. No God means the possibility of less suffering in the future.
Believing there is no God gives me more room for belief in family, people, love, truth, juggling, beauty, sex, Jell-O, and you–all the other things I can prove that make this life the best I will ever have.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.
THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.
BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!
“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.
SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.
QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.
QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.
PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation often when we need it most.
WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things—helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.
THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.
READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!
Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day, each moment!
1/4–I awoke thrilled that my bicycle and van were fixed and working well this morning. Although I had concerns, things have worked out well.
I find Beth difficult; I used to adore her, but the love is still there, waiting to jump back. Has she changed, or have I? Perhaps I am thinking too much about it, but she has deleted so much from my computer—from contacts to photos—all gone! I feel angry and don’t know what to do about it.
I want to inspire you and help you reach a higher level by reading this blog.
However, if my writing is pulling you down, I apologize.
1/5–I did stuff around the area. It was so cold outside that it was hard to work on the van. I watched many videos on YouTube, which was a waste of time.
1/6–Hi, Beth
Hi, Valeri
I hope you’re doing well.
Enjoying the read?
I hardly slept last night. My mind just doesn’t like to sleep. Any suggestions out there?
Looking out the window, I see snow covering everything. I don’t like snow, so I want to head south to the warmer weather. It is 9:33 in the morning, and snow continues to hit the ground. I had wanted to ride my bike, but none of that today.
I am trapped in my hotel room, where I will work on the blog and other computer stuff. However, I went to the store and got food to avoid hunger.
1/7–What’s with this waking up at about 1 am and up for the day I am? My mind clicks on and won’t turn off.
1/8–Jasmine and April took me to the grocery store with them. Of course, they are grown women now and play the part well. I still remember them as youths and playing around in any store we were in.
1/9–Two different times last night, I awoke, and after a while, I could get myself back to sleep. So, yes, I can do it.
I needed more juggling scarves, so I went to Walmart and bought “Tulle” material. These are great for teaching beginners and cost only a few cents a scarf. Contact me about this, and I’ll let you know more. Learning the basics of using scarves is easy; people pick them up quickly. Search on YouTube with “3 scarf juggling” to learn to juggle scarves.
I was uncomfortable behind the wheel because I had not slept or driven for some days. I was extra careful on the road.
1/10–I slept until about 3 am, which was good for me. It is so cold in this area, so I plan to head south for the warmer weather.
I went for a drive today to see how things went in my mind. The drive went smoothly, and I was completely comfortable.
Loaded my bike onto the van. I have this room until the 12th, but I still need to find out.
THEN, KEEP DOING NEW FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.
Winter now, but there are still things you can grow.
And, remember about indoor gardening.
A self-supportive life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
You must look into it.
Because I am back on the road, there will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.
When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.
START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!

You get your choice, God or Science. I choose science.
As an Anthropologist I recognize that culture is a binding force of civilizations, but there are so many different cultures and so many different “Gods.” They can’t all be right. My religion is “be good and do good.” How do you define “good”? For atheists, “good” is typically defined as actions or behaviors that promote well-being, happiness, and positive social interactions among humans, often based on principles like empathy, compassion, justice, and respect, without relying on the concept of a deity or divine commands to determine morality; essentially, “good” is determined by the positive impact on others and society as a whole, not by a higher power’s decree. Some lyricists get it right.
Imagine
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin’ for today
AhImagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin’ life in peaceYou may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as oneImagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the worldYou may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as oneSongwriter: John Winston Lennon
And how do so many people get it wrong? It’s all about getting to the kids as early as possible.

Dave knows, lookie there.
-
Hi, Kit (& Dave). Hope you are both doing great!
I disagree with Dave: I choose God AND science. There is no contradiction, unless you start with anti-supernatural presuppositions.I agree with Dave: Not all cultures can be right about their view of God since they contradict one another. But this does not mean that God does not exist, nor does it mean that He has not chosen a particular time and place in which to reveal Himself to humanity. The formation and history of the Jewish people which led to the coming of the Messiah Jesus (who fulfilled many prophesies that were given hundreds of years ahead of time in the Jewish Scriptures, and who resurrected from the dead) shows us the truth to follow. So God, through Jesus, is available to ALL who are genuinely seekers of truth.
As for morality (again, I refer to Dave\’s comment above)…. There is no *objective* grounding for any particular morality for the atheist. It\’s basically a free-for-all. For more info: See the video on \”The Moral Argument\” at the link below. And as for science pointing to God, see \”The Kalam Cosmological Argument (Scientific).\”
The videos at the following link are each about 5 minutes long, and do a good job of answering many common misconceptions and poor arguments against God\’s existence. I sincerely hope you check them out, because God is knowable. I know Him. God says many times and in many ways in the Bible (and at least a few times in this exact way): \”If you seek Me with all your heart, you will find Me.\” This is true. So those who don\’t find Him are either not trying, have given up too quickly, or do not really want to find Him.
Just think: IF there were an all-wise, all-powerful Being that was so amazing as to create billions of galaxies (each of which contains billions of stars) and all the beauty and complexity on the earth that we see (including DNA, jaguars, butterflies, sunsets, sex, music, singing, dancing, art, physics and math, juggling!, etc., etc.), and He was actually a kind and loving Being, wouldn\’t you want to know Him if you could? I\’m saying He really does exist, and that I have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. That He has done amazing things in answer to prayers in my life that are astounding–things that could not have happened apart from God existing. He has even clearly spoken to me on a handful of occasions, and definitely has communicated in various more oblique (but still clear and supernatural) ways that could not have occurred by chance. This is an amazing God! But He prefers to stay hidden so as not to overwhelm and force or coerce anyone to believe in or bow to Him. He allows us true free will. So, only those who really WANT to know Him will genuinely seek and come to know Him. I hope y\’all fall into that category. But the choice has been left up to you.
Here\’s the link with a bunch of wonderful 5-minute videos related to God\’s existence:
https://www.reasonablefaith.org/animated-videos?gad_source=2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhYWHk7bsigMVLp9aBR1V-AFCEAAYASAAEgJHcfD_BwEMany blessings to you. And I pray y\’all come to know Him as well. You could do so! And then you could have true meaning, value, and purpose, because your life would actually extend beyond the grave. If our lives simply end in physical death, then any *ultimate* meaning to our lives is illusory, our value would be nil, and our purpose would be nonexistent. Everything would end, presumably, in the heat death of the universe. So ultimately, no meaning, no value, and no purpose. And morality wouldn\’t matter either. Why would any of it matter at all? But deep in our hearts, we all *know* intuitively that there really are some things that are evil (say, the rape & murder of your 4-year-old girl); and we desire that our lives would have meaning and value; and we all want to keep living, and not quickly have our lives snuffed out. We want to see our kids live happy and prosperous lives. We want \”world peace\” and that sort of thing. That\’s because, as the Bible says, \”God has placed eternity in our hearts.\”
He has written some of the moral code upon our hearts and on our consciences, and given us a desire for meaning, value, and purpose. Why? So that we would hopefully choose to go on a journey of seeking the answers that would culminate in Himself. He doesn\’t need us; but He loves us, and wants to lavish His love, beauty, and goodness upon us for all eternity. (I can already hear the objection that the world sucks right now! Why would God allow \”destruction in the Middle East,\” etc, if He loves us? And I would say, God made the earth perfect. It is humanity that has chosen to rebel against God and His ways, and in our rejection of God, we brought corruption to not only the human race, but also even to the earth\’s systems and its creatures. So we shouldn\’t blame God for our free choices to turn against our Creator and selfishly try to do what is best for the individual–to the detriment of one another, society as a whole, and the earth.
Again, many blessings to you,
Dana -
Kit, you emailed me and asked for my answers to the two questions you mentioned in your blog. I figured I’d post my response here for everyone to read:
My answers to your two questions were implicit in what I wrote to you, if you have eyes to see them. But if you want me to spell it out for you….
1) The best proof of God is for you to take Him up on His offer and seek Him with “all your heart,” and then you will find Him. No one who honestly and genuinely seeks for Him will ultimately miss Him. It is something amazing when an honest heart says to God, “Look, I don’t believe in you. And if you exist, then you already know the reasons why. But let me put aside my own thinking momentarily and be humble enough to honestly consider that I could be wrong in my reasoning, and that you do actually exist. So please show yourself to me in the manner and time of your own choosing, and then I will gladly and truly follow you. I promise to follow you, if you are real.”
I sincerely believe that anyone who sincerely prays such a prayer to God and intends to follow through, will meet God and will never be disappointed they did this! But without honestly and genuinely being willing to follow God and seek Him, people sadly remain in a delusion of their own making. And eternal regret will one day be their unwanted best friend.
Having said all of that about the “best” proof for God . . . there are plenty of other proofs for God and it would be difficult to narrow it down to one. The videos on that link I included in my first comment on your blog contain many such good arguments for God’s existence.2) Why should you believe? For the same reasons that you would want:
*your deepest love relationship to work out and not end in disaster;
*to take long gazes at breathtaking scenery such as the Grand Canyon, the Northern Lights, the Milky Way, a woman’s naked body, etc.;
*to put on a parachute in a plane that is destined to crash into a mountain range in 3 minutes;
*your life to have true and eternal meaning, value, and purpose.
In other words, God uniquely satisfies our needs and desires. He designed us for Himself, and we cannot find satisfaction or true joy apart from coming to know Him. He is our deepest lover and the greatest hero, who has left His throne in heaven to come to earth to be crucified on a cross in our place. He has done everything He can do to rescue us and bring us into an eternal love relationship with Himself–if only we were willing. He is absolutely beautiful, and satisfies our need and desire for beauty. (I speak here of both His character–which I have seen–and His glory–which I have only indirectly seen.) I think my last two bullet points are self-explanatory.But nobody can force you into wanting God. God lets it be your own free choice, Kit. And so, I hope you choose wisely for yourself so that you may experience all that you were created for! I truly mean that.
Blessings to you,
Dana -

On number 1), your answer has NO “proof” of a god. You assert that a god is out there and must “seek” him.
That makes no sense.
Several times, I have asked God into my life—NOTHING!
There was a time when I thought I truly believed, and then I said, “Don’t lie to yourself.”Yes, if you pray long enough and strongly enough, you will talk yourself into believing there is a god out there—somewhere.
Try again; your answer went nowhere.Number 2 also went nowhere. On number 2) Those things of beauty that you listed are no reason for belief. Humans have learned to see these as beauteous, so they are. Sorry you have spent so much time on the subject, a subject I think is not even there.
-
Kit, all I know is that God’s promises are true, and I’ve seen His utter faithfulness, along with many others. And when you truly encounter God, it changes your life. But it seems to me that you have no sincere interest in coming to God. You seem to treat this like an intellectual game and even a competition, which it is not. My answer to number one will work every time it is truly and sincerely tried by anyone who really wants to know God. And my answer to your second question is likewise sufficient. Therefore, there is nothing else I can do for you other than pray.
Once you finally get desperate enough, I hope you remember to genuinely call on Jesus for Him to have mercy and to save you. If you do that in sincerity, you will be shocked to find that He is really there, with generous forgiveness and love to lavish upon you. But until then, well, we all reap what we sow.
Many blessings to you. –Dana
