    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
It can be difficult to set goals as I am driving to my next destination, yet, that can be a goal in itself. My current goal is to get to Florida, here I go!
Going south, I visited Shenandoah National Park. I love this area, I have been here a few times. I made sure I was there during the week, with fewer people, less traffic. Had a great campground to spend the night at, too.
Then on to see my old juggling friend, Tommy Curtin.

    WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>
Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking. This is why I find them so interesting and important on the path to joy and happiness.
Inspiration >> The process of being mentally stimulated to do a certain thing.
I hope to inspire you with my words. Words have power.
You see, the way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determine everything that happens in your life. It all derives from your quality of thinking.
When you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life—sometimes instantly. Just as positive words can make someone smile, and/or, a well-timed humorous quote can make someone laugh, our thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control.
You have complete control over only one thing in the universe — your thinking – and that’s where motivational quotes come in! Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
I hope the words I pick do help you.
    *************************
    BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS>>
This is the only life you have.
Find as much joy as you can!
    And, more important >>
Bring as much joy as you can to others.
I hope I bring you joy with my writings.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
10/17—So there I was set to drive to Front Royal (FR)in Virginia to drive Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park when I heard from my old juggling friend, Jeff Jehrio. He was wondering if I was going to stop in Columbia, Maryland to see him.
It was backtracking some, but I had to go. We went out and had a delicious lunch at an excellent Mexican Restaurant. We talked about old times and I tried to inspire him to get to juggling and performing again. I told him some ways to go about it and will be sending him books I have written on the subject.
After that, it was off to the town of Front Royal in Virginia, the start of the drive down Skyline Drive through the park. Today is Saturday, and, as I got into FR traffic was way backed up with people going into the park. In fact, the roads all around Baltimore and DC are so crowded.
When I got into FR I went directly to the library at 4:30, which was going to close at 5pm. I got sad, but found out they have a patio with an electrical outlet in the back of the library. This library is in the trees, and in the wilderness.
    Absolutely wonderful here.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the library will be closed, but you will find me outside on my computer starting early. I even think I will stay out of the park tomorrow, too, because of the crowds, I will arrive on Sunday or Monday.
On a different subject, I just read an article that said 71% of a study of Covid patients said they were constantly wearing a mask and still got it. You know how I hate to wear the facial covering, this proves my point that it is not necessary.
You have to remember, Covid is not a death sentence. Just look at Trump, he recovered well.
Tucker Carlson said on his show, “In other words, almost everyone, 85%, who got the coronavirus in July was wearing a mask, and they were infected anyway,” Carlson lamented, as Fox reported. “So clearly, this doesn’t work the way they tell us it works. Clearly, someone’s been lying to us — many people, actually.”
Scientists who study viruses wear a suit where no air can get in and none out. And, we are trusting these little masks? The “Control” of humans is getting too big and I do not like it. I only where the facial covering when it is mandatory.
Many times, like when I see someone driving alone in a car with a mask on, I want to ask them, “Are you concerned about getting sick, or scared of dying? Seems that most had one because others do.
Tonight I will stay parked at the library, in the woods, and sleep. I like this area much, I may stay here all day tomorrow and go to the park on Monday. I will let you know.
10/18—11pm—I saw a flashlight looking around outside, then came a knock on the van door. An officer was here asking questions. We connected well and had a good conversation. He said I could stay and sleep parked here at the library.
The next day, as I awoke at the library, it was so calm, quiet, and nice, this gave me a smile. Later, after they opened, I asked the librarian if they had any books on juggling, she said no.
I told her about and showed her a copy of my book, Juggling with Finesse, and she bought one for the library. Now that I have copies, picked up from my daughter’s house, I should be able to sell them quickly.
Spent all day at the library charging my things up and reading news articles. But, it was cold today. Winter is on the way, I really need to get down to Florida.
Started out today at the library once again. And said the library I can get online, so that’s a good thing.
Then it was off to Shenandoah Park. Skyline drive takes you all through the park at the top of the mountains. So much beauty, hard to take in.
Good thing I waited until Monday to come here, the crowds even today were pretty big.
This is the third time going through this park. In the past, I just drove through. Today, I just did some hiking and saw some other sites.
I’ll have to find out, but I think millions come to the park every year. It’s kept very nice, if you get a chance, you must come to see.
10/20—Spend last night at Big Meadow s Campground. Being a Monday, not many people here. When I signed up for a spot, the guy put me in the handicapped camping spot, because I have a disability pass and get half off for a campsite.
Last night I made a very big fire, the spot I’m on is flat and nice and near a bathroom, I could live here forever. And, right before I went to this campground I went to another one, there are three deer walking around the campground, so good to see. You will see the dainty deer in the photo.
The campground had drinking water so I filled up my containers. I have seven one-gallon containers. Also, they have the shower available, so I did. A happy boy am I.
Yesterday I did the hike to Compton Peak, not a lot to see, but I enjoyed it, much. Today, I hiked up to Dark Hollow Falls. About 2 miles each way and the path was rocky and some places, which, as you know, I do not do well on.
As I was starting this hike I saw the rocky terrain and almost turned back. But then I thought of you and had to bring you photos, so I continued.
For the hike in I forgot to make a walking stick staff. So, before I started back I made one. Yet, I saw a woman hiking who was having trouble, so I gave her mine and she was joyful with the stick to help her walk.
I like a good challenge, although, I am careful. Even with the stick, I was using to help with balance, on some small boulders, I took a fall. Scraped my arm and hurt my shoulder and wrist. But, I’ve been through worse.
Near the end, as I was getting into the parking lot, I saw a woman who might need to help walking, so I gave her my stick. She seemed overjoyed.
She said, “Don’t you need it?
I said, “No, I’m almost home.
    It came out so naturally.
I explained to them that I live in my van and that is my home.
What surprised me, was even out in the wilderness here, there were people who would not even look at you. As I was walking by them I would say things like, “Really?”, or “Oh no, another unfriendly”. I did not wait for a response. I just think life is much better if you are friendly—as I hope you are.
10/21—I came to see my old friend in Tennessee, Tommy Curtin. At age 79, now, he is looking great. Living with his wife of 57 years, Mary, in Bristol Tennessee, I had to come and see him. At age 79 now, he is doing great.
We talked of old juggling things. And people from the past. Tommy learned to juggle at age 12, and have been hey juggling performer all his life.
He did do a few other things like you started in and ran a movie theater for some years. But mainly, juggling has been his life.
    Learn about Tommy here >>
    and here >>
Having started juggling at the age of 12, this soon became his joy in life. Before long he put a show together and started doing shows around town. Eventually, he went on to perform all around the world.
Along with on stage performing his juggling, Tommy also put on ice skates and performed his act with Holiday on Ice. His first performing, he took to the ice in South America with the show at the age of 22. He eventually returned to South America three more times.
Right now I am at a McDonald’s on the wifi and plugged into power my computer. This is the first McDonald’s in months that I could sit in. Life is getting back to normal? A good thing.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

MY CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK >>
Set Three Big Goals for Yourself this Week.
From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential” >>
When I am setting goals for myself, I always try to make sure that I go slightly above and beyond what I think my maximum potential is. That is, I constantly challenge myself to do more, yet am satisfied with a series of small victories.
Your goals are always changing and growing, use small goals and steps towards your greater goal should be just beyond your reach.
    Do the Work
Without having a clear goal in your mind, you can find it difficult to decide what to do next. It takes much work to figure out your goals and desires in life. Many people don’t take the time or effort to figure out what it is they really want in life.
If you want success, you must work. Setting goals and planning your path might very well be the most rewarding work that you will do in your life.
Remember, a goal is something we truly want to do, something very important to us. Goals are essentially making plans that allow progress.
I hope you would agree with me that we all should continue to advance ourselves and make progress in our lives.
    Congratulate Yourself
Remember to applaud yourself for every effort you make, regardless of the outcome. When you praise yourself, you are putting positive thoughts into your mind which will undoubtedly boost your self-esteem and help you to continue making progress on your goals.
Each goal that you achieve should help to bolster your self-confidence and confirm the belief you the abilities to continue making progress in your life.

So what’s the secret of inspirational quotes?

    1) Intending to inspire someone.

    2) Having recognized our own need to be inspired.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

10/10-12Slept every night while parked at the Lititz library, very quiet, made for a nice slumber.

Went to another laundromat, nice to have clean clothes.

10/14—I’ve not been writing in this in that there is not much happening. My daughters are extremely busy, so I only spent a little time with them. Mary Ellen and I got together one evening, that was nice.

After past work on the van my horn and cruise control have not been working. I hardly ever use my horn, just as a warning, but mu cruise I use all the time.

I returned to see Dave, who did more excellent work on the van, very happy I am. Right now it is running excellent. Tomorrow morning I will go to see a body shop who will do some work on the outside. Quite pleased I am.

Needed fuel for the van, as, as usual, found a Costco because of their low price. Still amazes me that they have a horse barn for their Amish customers.

For tonight, I found a small local park to park at. I am right on the grass, so, of course, did some juggling. I must make time more often to throw stuff. At this point my juggling is not getting better, not getting worse, just maintaining.

Bored, not me. I have almost 100 books to read, as well as writing this for you.

10/5—Driving through the southern part of Delaware, it is just fabulous. North by Wilmington is much run-down and looks bad, down here is nice.

Into Maryland with me. I found North-East branch library, which is closed, but their wifi is working, so here I am. And, with my battery charger, I can be on many hours.

At one of the food banks I received a Taco “Kit” (me?), as you see from the photo. It is 12:10 now and I will eat in a couple of hours. I am not consuming much food, but feel healthy.

Aiming for Shenandoah National Park now. Today is Thursday, if I keep going I would be there on the weekend. So, I will be taking my time getting there so that I avoid the weekend crowds.

This park is quite beautiful, I’ve been there a few times before. You will like the photos I will be taking.

4:30—Now I’m down the road at a very big library that is buried in the forest, very nice here. This is where I will be for the night. At most all libraries you can get their wifi out in the parking lot, as I am now.

As I am driving I am charging my battery charge (what I power my laptop with when it’s battery runs low.) This is good for another five hours, so plenty of power I get while driving.

I put my shower bag out on the hook I have on the roof of the van to get hot. To remind you, there is a clear side and opposite the clear side is black, so it makes the water quite hot in a short time.

It’s been a few days, even I think I need a shower. Not that I am around anyone enough to smell me, and, frankly, I really don’t care. It is when I get too itchy, then I get under the water.

10/16—A rainy day today. All of the libraries in the area are closed to having people come inside, you can just call and then come by to pick up books. So, no where to hide under cover out of the raid. But, I am safe in the van.

I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

Staying in the area near Lancaster, Pennsylvania for a time. My daughter, April, got married to Jake Mouliert last Saturday. The day went fantastic, this will last a lifetime with them, that makes me so happy.

These masks we have to wear are really bugging me. I only wear one when it is demanded. I have read that it is bad for you to breathe your own air. What really bugs me is you cannot see smiles!

Underneath my mask, I stick my tongue out at some people, blow kisses at others, just play my Kit games that I do.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
10/3—The day has arrived. My daughter, April is to marry Jake Mouliert. The day went wonderful. Taking place at a farm in the country, it was the perfect setting for the two to marry.
10/4—Spent part of the day with my other daughter, Jasmine. Over the years we have not spent that much time together, I was not sure how it would turn out. It was a pleasure to spend time with Jasmine.
Jasmine took us out to eat at MOD Pizza, a place I had not been before. You pick all the things you want on your pizza, a unique meal. Have you tied it? You must >> https://modpizza.com/
    Jasmine at the wedding.
10/5—Went out this evening with Mary Ellen, we were married for 23 years until she broke us up. A comfortable evening it was.
10/6—At the library now working on this blog. I am waiting for something to come in the mail, should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. I was just going to stay at the Lititz Library until then, but then I remembered that I could drive somewhere.
I miss the wilderness, I think I will. As you know, I can only stay so long in a city, then I have to get back to nature. In Lititz now, looks like there are forests all around, I will have to go explore.
Right now I in Lititz Library at 7:30pm. Someone came by and told me I HAVE to wear a mask. I am the ONLY person in here visiting. It just gets ridiculous the way people are handling the narrative.
10/8—For many years I have gone to Dave’s Auto Repair for his help. This man does amazing work with vehicles. Today I went down and he took care of some things.
If you are anywhere near the Claymont, Delaware area, go to Dave, he will take great care of your wheels – https://www.autorepairclaymont.com/
On the way back up was going to pass Conestoga Pines Park, so, that is where I spent the night. So quiet, so dark, I love this place. Take a look >>
10/9—Back at my other home, along with Conestoga Park, the Lititz Library. This is a huge library in a very small community, I, along with just a few other people, are the only ones here.
It’s been a few days, so I thought it time. About noon I hung my shower back on top of the van with the black side up so that sunlight can go through the clear side and hit the black. There is clear on one side and black on the other, when you leave it in the sun the water gets HOT.
Then, about 3pm I parked so the van doors face away from any people, this time toward a cornfield. That way no one can see, well, perhaps the corn pixies got a glance?
As I’ve written before, I can get as clean in this warm shower than any shower I have ever taken. Feels so good to be thoroughly clean.
Now I am parked outside, where I can still get on their wifi and I am typing to you, hard to smile while you are drinking a beer.
I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

    WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>

Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking. This is why I find them so interesting and important on the path to joy and happiness. This is no secret.

So what’s the secret of inspirational quotes?

    1) Intending to inspire someone.

    2) Having recognized our own need to be inspired.

Inspiration >> The process of being
mentally stimulated to do a certain thing.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

9/26—Spent much of the day at the library, which was open and I could plug in, a good thing. A Saturday, they closed at 4pm, there were actually a good number of people there.

Then it was off to Costco to buy shoes. Yesterday April and Jake bought me a pair at Target, but the were too small and ended up hurting my feet, much. I was passing by the Target and was able to return them for a credit, which I will give back to April.

What was interesting is I saw a number of Amish people shopping. Because they don’t drive they have a non-Amish transport them. The funny thing is Costco even has horse and carriage pull in. They have a stable right in the parking lot where they can park their horse while they shop—it was great.

Then, where to park for sleep for the night? On GPS I saw a large green area, I thought, a park! And I was correct. Drove about half a mile into the forest, it was quite a surprise and very nice at Conestoga Pines Park.

But, there is a highway near and there is some traffic noise. Should get less and less as night falls. I will let you know.

9/29—Last night I spent the night, again, at Conestoga Pines Park, dark and quiet, I loved it. This park is near to Lancaster, but seems so remote and in the wilderness. And, hidden away in there is even a swimming pool. Also, the park is on a river.

ast night no one was around, the whole place was mine. I love it here, perhaps my new home? Take a look >>

10/1/2000—Conestoga Pines Park seems to be my new home, last night, once again, I bedded down in this lovely park.

Got together with April today. Since I constantly travel, she is my mailing address. So, I picked up my current mail and got two boxes of my Juggling with Finesse books to sell on the road. Do you have a copy yet?

Went to a library to work and sleep tonight, but they did not have their wifi on, so I moved on to a library closer to the wedding site. You see, there is a practice scheduled for tomorrow at 11, I will be there, of course.

This library where I am, the Columbia Library, has no chairs set up inside, at all. This is the first of this sort that I have seen. I was going to pout but found out there is a patio outside where I can also plug in and be on their 24-hour wifi.

Hearing traffic noise in the area, but later, as darkness falls, the traffic diminishes much, it will be a good night.

10/2—The traffic noise last night was nil, hardly any. Awoke at my usual time, about 3am. I discovered that the library does turn off their wifi for over night, so I went to a McDonald’s, about a mile away, to get on theirs. I found out they had their wifi was off, too.

Today were rehearsals for the wedding day tomorrow. Everything went well and it should be a spendid day tomorrow. You will learn in the next post—with photos!

I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”

They know why they’re here in their life!”

Success is knowing your purpose in life. But there’s more to it than that. I know people who know their purpose in life but they’re not thriving.

You need a growth plan to help you reach your top potential. It’s not only knowing what you should do, it’s also about growing in that area to maximize and highlight the things that you do well. Growth is an ongoing progression.

Development is not an automatic process. If you’re going to grow, you need to do so intentionally and with purpose. Basically, you need a reason for your growth.

    That’s continual growth.

Knowing your purpose in life gives you stability. While things might get hard and shaky for others, you can use this assurance to steady the boat and to ride out the storm because you know where you want to go.

This direction becomes an anchor in life—a confidence based upon the knowledge of one’s purpose. Someone once said there are two great days in life—the day you are born and the day you discover why you’re here.

Remember this—highly successful people have discovered why they are here.

Join me as I help you move your life forward and higher. See your future and see that you can change, that you will change. Don’t remain in that easy or ordinary life—jump up to that higher life that is awaiting you.

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

9/19-23Helping Steve Mills (yes, that Steve Mills of the MillsMess fame) still with clearing/cleaning out his house/church. He says he already has a buyer, but they don’t seem committed.

Today I have been ten feet up on a leaning ladder against the thirteen-foot front door scraping and getting ready for painting. The church door that is really really big. This door needs painting, so I scrap, fill in where needed, then paint. A long process.

I told Steve that when I was way up on that ladder, which is at the top of some steps, by the way, I felt safer when I used to ride my 14’ unicycle. At least I had control of my ride. Falling from here I would have no control. Yikes!

About that unicycle, I built it in high school and actually road it quite much. Having to duck under telephone/electrical lines and finding a place to get on and get off was hard at times.

After the third time I fell off I gave it away. I hope the guy I gave it to is still alive. Hard to imagine at this time in my life I was so daring as a youth. But, I would try anything. Different now somehow.

Burnt up more books, which makes me quite sad. Steve said he let many people know the books were available, but few takers. He just doesn’t have time to deal with it, which I realize. Sorry, Larry.

I did load up three large boxes of classics and big name authors. This morning at 6am, on a Sunday, I took these books and left them at Sandusky Library under the roof on the entrance. I hope the books find a good home.

It makes me feel better to have them decide what to do with the books. I did not want to burn or destroy any books, but Steve needs to clear things out and get rid of stuff. Understandable, but still hard to do.

Steve and I just went up into the bell tower, or belfry. Didn’t see any bats. This whole building is constructed so well, with the best of materials. After all, the church was built in the 1880s, back when the cost of the big timbers wouldn’t be astronomical.

We just went out for Mexican food, very nice, thank you, Steve. He has a BMW, very fast, a superb vehicle. On these country roads Steve got up to 115mph so quick and easily, it was surprising, Made for a very smooth ride.

After soooo many years in entertainment, Steve says he is basically retired from performing. He will keep busy, of course, but no more trying to push the performanc0e.

9/25—In Lititz, Pennsylvania now, where April lives. April and Jake took me out for excellent Mexican food last night, a great time.

I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.
