INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
The Yellowstone area is a magnificent place. Yet, like Yosemite and some other parks, I am finding too many people around. It is like being in a zoo, at times. Yet, if I made time to venture out into the real wilderness of the parks, I might enjoy that more.
But, I learned from before when I got lost, I do not want to lose track. Traveling by map and compass would be a new way for me, I will have to learn that way later.
Wait, why are all the cars stopped up ahead? A small herd of bison was out. Funny how humans get amazed at this “natural” life. They could watch videos, but being up close does hold a difference.
More cars stopping and being backed up. A herd of elk this time. Whenever gatherings of animals appear, the rangers show up to keep control of the humans—keeping cars moving, keeping the gazing (and grazing?) humans away from the animals.
I exited the park by the north entrance/exit. I saw some areas that I had not seen before. Like I already wrote, there is so much of Yellowstone you will never see it all.
From Jellystone (remember the Flintstones?), it was off toward Butte to meet with my friend Daniel Powell. Later you will read of my van odysseys on the way.
Writing of odysseys, are you sedimentary and do nothing new? Do you need to make a radical change in your life to taste and feel life as it might be passing you by?
Start now to begin to boldly do things which you may have previously never thought of doing, or been hesitant to even attempt.
Look at me, for a couple of years I have lived in a van and traveled the country. I love all these new experiences I go through. Sleeping in a different place every night. Wondering where to next. Being thrifty and careful spending money.
So many people live within unhappy conditions and yet take no initiative to change their situation because they might be conditioned to a life of security, conformity and conservatism—all of which appear to give one piece of mind.
But, in reality, nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a person that a “secure” future (whatever that means.)
The living core within us lives our passion for adventure! Joy in life comes from our encounters toward new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than having an endlessly changing horizon.
I live my life frugally, but find a different kind of joy most every day. If you are not loving your life, it might be time for a change? Please don’t live day to day not loving life and making no changes.
Change for the better—starting today—this moment!
I AM HERE TO HELP.
WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>
Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change your thinking. This is why I find them so interesting and important on our paths to joy and happiness.
So what’s the secret of great quotes?
1) Intending to inspire someone.
2) Have recognized our own need to be inspired.
Inspiration >> The process of being mentally stimulated to do a certain thing.
You see, the way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determine everything that happens in your life. It all derives from your quality of thinking.
When you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life, sometimes instantly. Just as positive words can make someone smile, and/or, a well-timed humorous quote can make someone laugh, our thoughts react to the world in real-time.
Think right—always.
You have complete control over only one thing in the universe — your thinking – and that’s where motivational quotes come in! Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
I hope the words I pick do help you.
=============
Be inspired by these words >>
These, being three of the to inspirational words, let them set in your mind and make changes.
Inspirational Word #1 >> YET!
The word “YET” is filled with hope for now and the future.
It can be exasperating at times to hear it again and again. Especially when it is spoken in response to the complaining we sometimes feel entitled to engage in.
But the power of YET is in its simple truth.
“YET” is true.
And that’s why “YET” always wins in the end.
Inspirational Word #2 >> PROUD
The second inspiring word is designed to erase doubt about whether or not one is “on the right track” or “making a difference.” This word is basically confidence.
This word helps create the necessary atmospheric conditions in which dignity, self-respect, and honor can flourish. The word is PROUD.
Inspirational Word #3 >> IMAGINE
The final inspiring word is another one to which no limits can be attached.
Its power exists in each of the four dimensions—height, depth, width, and time.
Documented since the beginning of humanity, this word has a distinct and continuous history of supernatural authority over achievements previously considered impossible by reasonable people.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
8/22—After leaving James and Renee’s home, it was off to the west. I will be meeting up with my friend, Daniel Powell, on August 28th in Butte, so I have until then to meander around.
I connected up with my Facebook friend, Linda Calvert, we are going to meet up at a campground in West Yellowstone on Tuesday. But, sorry to say, the day she was going to leave her vehicle came down with an illness and would not work. We will have to get together another time, Linda.
In going through Bighorn National Forest, I went down a decline with signs that said 10%. Is the steepest I have ever driven down.
Right now I am parked at a fabulous library, like so many of them are. A fantastic building, with great lawns for juggling. It will be very quiet tonight while I sleep here alone.
8/23-24—Exploring the mountains outside of Jellystone (you remember Yogi, I would guess?) The entire area is magnificent. If you ever have a chance to venture into these mountains—you must.
8/24—I have to remember to write in this daily. I forget what this day consisted of. More exploring. I will have to remember to write daily for you.
8/25—After exploring more of Yellowstone (there is so much, you could never see it all.) I saw more Elk roaming the meadows, and, look at that, a very big herd of Bison were out for lunch.
Whenever animals come out of the forests the rangers protect them by directing people to keep moving down the road, and they keep the people who have parked away from the beasts. This is only right, after all, there are so many stupid humans around (I’m glad you’re not one of those.)
Most campsites do not have very much dead wood for fires, more has already been found and used. So I stopped on the way and picked up a big batch of carbon (wood.) I usually want enough for an evening fire then a morning fire the next day.
Being the summer, most campgrounds are full. I found Indian Creek Campground—there were spaces available. I set up and love it here.
8/26—What a comfortable night last night at Indian Creek. This morning I used up the rest of the wood I had acquired and had a very warm and nice fire.
On my way toward Butte, where I will be meeting Daniel on the 28th. I like these small towns, I’m at a nearly empty library in a small town now.
Driving west on I-90, I saw that my cruise was not working. In the past, I simply pulled over, turned off my engine, then it would work again. So, I did that, but my van would not start—AT ALL. In fact, the battery was totally drained, it seemed.
What to do, what to do? I pulled out my jumper cables and tried to flag someone down for help with a jump for my battery. Finally, an off-duty officer named Mark stopped and we tried to jump it, Nothing!
So, Mark let me use his phone to call AAA to get someone out there to help with a tow (or a toe.) The operator at AAA said she did not know if or when someone might be out to help—yikes!
So, right now I am writing this, pen on paper, while I await the tow truck. Also, it was about 5:33pm, I was getting hungry. I had ingredients for tacos left from last night, so this was my meal, and good it was. I did not feel like pulling out the stove and such, so cold they were. Eating these makes me happy for some reason—want to join me?
You have to remember I have enough food and water onboard the van to last me a couple of weeks. I do plan and prepare well.
On I-40 going westbound I had pulled over just after the on-ramp from exit 267 between Three Forks (that’s the name of a town) and Butte in Montana.
I’ve been here for two hours now, I just called AAA again and she told me that they had no one they could send out to help me and no idea when they could. She suggested I flag someone down again and call them back later.
I guess I didn’t tell you that I had left my phone at a library a few days ago, that’s why I’ve been flagging people down to use their phone. I just ordered a new phone and it will be sent to James and Renee’s for me to pick up later.
At least I have time to write to you in detail now while I can. The replacement phone only cost me twenty-five bucks, with shiipping. I am with AssuranceWireless.com.
So, my battery is totally dead now and I am just sitting here. My front windows were open before I lost battery power, so I cannot close them now. At this point I am planning on sleeping here on the freeway on-ramp.
Because my windows are open I have to stay with the van to avoid theft. Yes, a new and different adventure.
I’ve written before, things like this do not upset me in the least. I just find it interesting to find out how things will be turning out in the end.
It turned out that I flagged someone else down to ask them to contact highway patrol later to get me help. He basically told me they could not help. He knew cars better than the others, hooked up my jumper cables, and, after a few try’s, THE VAN STARTED! I was over-happy to hear my van going.
I drove directly into Butte, looked up a repair place on my GPS, then I parked in their parking lot for sleep. But the next day I found out they do not even work on cars. More to the adventure.
8/27—On GPS I found a few other repair places, all could not fit me in for a few days. According to GPS there are many repair places in Butte.
One of the repair places told me about GTR. They fit in and started work right away. Dave saw that my ignition for the key needed to be replaced to get the electric to work right, which is being worked on now.
Also, Dave noticed that the cables connecting to my battery were lose, he connected them well. So, I am very happy with the work that GTR and did on the van was so good. The price will be close to $500, but needs to be done to get my van going right away again.
The website is GTRtowingandrepair.com. They are all great to work with. If you are in the area or plan to be, go to get some great work done by them.
Beautiful Laurie, who works at GTR, gave me a good discount and was a delight to work with, she even gave me food to keep in the van.
Money being tight, any help you could give me with finances I bring me joy. Through PayPal, you can send me at kitsummers@gmail.com.

Thanks so very much.
8/28—Daniel and I went to look at a building that he might purchase. This place has bar and many other amenities. It will take much work to get it back in working order, but I think it has a lot of potential.
I was just in a library working on this blog, they to me I had to leave, limiting just five people there at a time. I hate these new “life rules” it is deminshing life as we know it. But, as always, I will still find a way to reach joy.
Daniel and I will be together for a few days, he had asked for my help about the land he might buy. I will let you know more in the next blog.
