OPENING WORDS
I’m sorry to say that Jennifer and I did not work out.
A significant factor is that she has lived alone for many years, and it seems I don’t fit in.
I tried to love and help her as much as possible, but it didn’t work.
I will always have a special love for the wonderful lady.

Her cats, Oreo and Biscuit, are a joy. They can roam the house and the outside patio, and they are so fun to watch. They are also quiet as they prance around, making them great hosts for the home. I’m glad they are here to love and be with Jennifer.

Still having no car, Jennifer will drop me off at

Looks like a comfortable place.

Eventually, I will be at a rehab place in Florida, which will help with my juggling and balance, both of which are at a low level now. Once there, I will work extra hard to lose 30 pounds and get in good shape.

MAKE THE PRESENT MOMENT EXCELLENT- EVERY SINGLE INSTANT!

BLOG 328–Aim Toward Excellence–A Habit!
Always a choice:
To Aim for Excellence!
Or
To Aim for Mediocrity.
Which do you choose?

Aiming for excellence means setting high standards, consistently striving to achieve them, embracing continuous improvement, and committing to quality. If you do this, things can only get better for your life. And, whatever your status or ability in life, you can always aim for better and better.

GREATNESS, MERIT, PERFECTION, PURITY, QUALITY, SUPREMACY.

It’s about going beyond meeting expectations and pushing yourself to achieve the best possible results. I do this with goals I have, my juggling and salsa, writing this blog is another example. You must recognize that true excellence involves acknowledging and learning from mistakes (Drops?) You can (and must) do this in all areas of your life.

Excellence means greatness—doing the best. Achieving excellence is never easy, but people really appreciate it because it’s so hard to find. Excellence is the quality of excelling and being the best at something.

It’s not enough to be good; you must drive for excellence! To achieve a significant stride in success, you have to be excellent in what you do. Whatever field, career, vocation, or profession you enter, strive to be among the best, as you can. You will be highly sought after when you are good at your work.

Being good at what you do will place you in a position to make choices and not be selected. It allows you to meet people that ordinarily would be impossible for you to meet. Also, it will enable you to connect with other amazing people operating in the same framework.

So, what does it mean to aim for excellence?
How is it possible to achieve excellence?
How will you find your own expertise?

First, you must have a hunger for growth and be willing to commit yourself to continual learning throughout your life. Aiming for excellence means operating with an understanding that learning never stops. Every day is an opportunity to try new things and gain new knowledge.

It is refusing to dwell on the glories of past successes, as you achieve more. I have seen people whose past success has become their major stumbling block to growth. They can’t stop talking about it or making references to it. To them, it’s a feat only a few can attain. Memories of it alone give them satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.

If you truly hunger for excellence, you will use your past successes as a benchmark. In other words, you’ll want to exceed your records. With this mindset, you will always be outstanding in anything you do. Your past should inspire you to do more and not stand in your way to grow further.

I think that is one of the reasons I gave up on juggling. Although I had achieved excellence in my juggling, I am going down other paths now. Learning a skill that I know so well did not present the success mentality that would help me.

Commit to excellence! Do those painful tasks, even if you do not feel like doing them. It means going the extra mile in whatever you do. It means paying attention to little details others would have taken for granted. It means staying up late to read a book, plan your next day, or even evaluate how you spent your time.

Anyone can meet up with targets, but a person driven by excellence goes the extra mile to surpass their expectations. The reality is that when you operate on the premise of just meeting expectations, you rarely succeed. But when you aim ahead, even if you fall short of your target, you wouldn’t miss your expected target. High achievers (like you!) set high standards for themselves, far above expectations.

Excellence requires patience, time, and drive. To attain excellence, you must be committed to continual learning and unlearning. You will constantly discover what you can and cannot do. You must understand that success comes not come overnight but through diligent and consistent efforts.

Many would look for excuses to justify their poor performance if things don’t go as planned. On the other hand, people who are driven by excellence acknowledge their shortcomings and critically examine what happened to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.

However, aiming for excellence doesn’t mean setting unrealistic goals, but easily attainable goals that build up. When your goals are unrealistic, deep inside you, it is obvious that you can never achieve them. With your lack of drive, they are doomed to fail from the outset, leaving you with no option but to find excuses to justify your inability to realize them.

On the other hand, when the goals are so easy to achieve, there is no challenge; as such, it will not amount to any growth. The victory that comes with such goals is cheap and does not in any way make you better. I would challenge myself to master juggling 7 clubs, for example.
To aim for excellence, you have to set high standards. You must understand that you are in no competition with anyone but yourself. Some people are satisfied when they are better than everyone else in their circle. You must aim for more!

For me, aiming for excellence is a mindset. With this mindset, the sky is not the limit. Instead, it is the starting point. It is a mindset of looking at your incredible successes and not allowing them to distract you from the greater heights you wish to attain.

It’s a mindset of striving to surpass your past records instead of boasting about them. With this mindset, nothing is impossible to achieve. In the end, aiming for excellence means thinking big. It’s going beyond ordinary to extraordinary.

Ambitious>>A strong desire to succeed or achieve something.
Determined>>Having a firm decision or purpose.
Driven>>Actively pursuing a goal with passion and energy.
Resilient>>Able to recover quickly from difficult conditions.
Visionary>>Having the ability to see what is not yet.

Often, aiming for excellence takes more effort.
Yet, it is not much more effort! WELL WORTH IT.
Start today to direct your aim in the future.

Perhaps, like me, you went through a brain injury?
You can take what you are left with,
And make an outstanding life.

Aiming Toward Excellence Should Become a Habit! This emphasizes that continuous striving for improvement and high standards should be a regular part of your life, not just an occasional goal. It means consistently working towards excellence in all areas, rather than just attempting it now and then.

Aristotle famously stated, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a habit.”.
This highlights that excellence is not achieved through a single act but through consistently cultivating virtuous behaviors and practices.

Striving toward excellence encourages the development of positive habits that can lead to success. For example, developing emotional intelligence, prioritizing good eating, or practicing effective time management can become habitual routines, contributing to overall well-being and achievement.

A habit of excellence fosters a mindset of continuous improvement, where individuals always seek to enhance their knowledge, expand their capabilities, and refine their skills. By consistently striving for excellence, you can unlock your full potential, achieve your aspirations, and experience greater fulfillment in your personal and professional lives.

Some examples of excellent habits include practicing active listening, being open to feedback, embracing challenges, and seeking growth opportunities. You must also learn to change with the changes.

Aiming for excellence should become a habit because it fosters continuous improvement, personal growth, and added success. As Aristotle described, this mindset is built through repeated actions and becomes a way of life. By consistently striving for excellence in all areas of your life, you can cultivate positive habits, achieve your goals, and reach beyond your potential.

Excellence is a habit” means that becoming excellent at something isn’t just about a significant action or a fleeting moment of brilliance. It’s about developing a consistent pattern of behaviors and choices that, over time, lead to outstanding performance. Essentially, it’s about making excellence a part of your routine, your way of thinking and behaving.

Excellence is about using your skills or fine-tuning those skills to your needs. Like me and jugglng, you have to practice, practice, practice to make this a success. You can find a way to create a daily routine incorporating a different skill for 21 days. After the first week, it will get easier. Do it!

ALL YOU HAVE IS NOW!
MAKE THINGS FANTASTIC!

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness, and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

READ
Reading through the quotes below about life can do the trick if you’re looking for a pick-me-up or a healthy dose of motivation. Whether centered around positive affirmations, self-care, or success, life quotes can be powerful inspirational tools.

THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.

BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed, amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to real life. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.

SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work, and it’s next to impossible with your busy schedule. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.

QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.

QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.

PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation when we need it most.

WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things, helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.

THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.

READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly.
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!

Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
You can keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day, each moment!

6/7–I very much miss my van. It’s strange not to have any wheels and to depend on others for rides (thanks, Jennifer).

6/8–In the evening this Sunday, we attended a church service for mainly pastors and people high up in the church. It seemed like every other church service I had been to had the same structure. There was a collection of money, too, and I did not know who it could have gone to.

Jennifer wants me to believe so much.
My mind says, “You can’t lie to yourself.”

6/9—Jennifer and I went to a local park with many roses. It was so lovely there. My sniffer does not work well, but I could smell some fragrance. Being so close, Jennifer did not even know about this area. We saw some beautiful places.

This Dogwood tree is right outside Jennifer’s back patio.

You can see that anyone can find beauty wherever they are.
Find the beauty in your area now.

6/10–It’s a bright, sunny day—lovely. Today, I heard from Mark, who is helping to set me up at a therapy place in Florida.

Things are moving quickly, and I should be in soon. I like Florida, and I hope for a good visit.

I expect to undergo advanced programs to help me manage my time and balance. However, I also want to give back, so I will work hard with the patients and medical staff.

6/11–Working on my writing skills to start the day–Is it working?
Nothing significant occurred today, and there is nothing to write about.
How was your day today?

QUACK!

6/12, 13–It seems lawn mowers and tractors make daily noise.
There is almost too much noise coming in.

On the barbecue, we cooked potatoes, chicken, and corn.
For the corn, I learned a long time ago to throw the whole ear on, with husk on.
The taste is the BEST ear of corn I have ever had.
Try it, you will be amazed.

I will be leaving Jennifer’s tomorrow. It is always hard for me to move on from where I am.

THEN, KEEP DOING NEW (DAILY) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.

Winter is here now.
But there are still things you can grow.
And remember about indoor gardening.

A self-supporting life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
You must look into it!

Because I am back on the road.
There will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.

When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.

START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!

ALL OUR LIVES, WE MUST CHALLENGE OURSELVES!

Pick some areas that you need to improve on.
Aim for excellence in those areas.
Make it a habit.
