OPENING WORDS

I’ve gone through several accidents, even going through a 37-day coma.
But I plan to live a long life, past 100.
As my age grows, I see that life is short.
“A short life full of adventure is
much better than a long, miserable life.”
Kit Summers.

I heard from some people this week;
I hope to hear from you, too!

“So happy for you, Kit!
You and Jennifer look so happy!
You are amazing, and you deserve nothing but the best!!”
Phyllis Lynch

“An excellent blog!
A toast to you, Jennifer,
and more creative writings!!!”
Larry Zeiger

“Dear Kit,
I am delighted to hear about you and Jennifer! Your relationship sounds so good and healthy! She has a great smile, and that’s worth $1 million! I wish you both a great future together!
I agree with you wholeheartedly about finding a purpose in life. If I can be helpful, that makes me so happy! For me, that’s the key—take good care.

BLOG 322–IT’S A SHORT LIFE WE LIVE!
With your limited time on Earth, what will you leave for others to remember you by, and help them with? Life can come and go like a feather in the wind. Life is short, and it is up to you to make it sweet. If it will make you happy, go for it – life is short. With this limited life, the older you get, the more you feel it.

This phrase, “Life is too short” or “live every day as if it is your last,” tells people to enjoy every moment they step into. It reminds us that you never know what’s coming and only have time for so many things, so we should all get out there and do what we love; we should appreciate our relationships and stop worrying over the minuscule stuff.

Rather than procrastinating or holding back, you should seize opportunities and stretch your experiences as if tomorrow is never coming. This mindset instills a sense of urgency and a love of the present. These will be hard times in your future, but also fantastic times.

The saying “Life is short” encourages individuals to seize the moment and maximize their time by focusing on what truly matters. It reminds us to prioritize meaningful experiences, relationships, and pursuits rather than wasting time on insignificant activities.

We have at least 70, 80, or 100 years to live! Life is short, and we must make the most of it. The truth is, we don’t have forever to live. Make your life fantastic now, while you still have time.

Nobody knows when their last breath will come, in one month, one year, one hundred years, or more likely somewhere in between.  We can’t plan for the end but must stop waiting for the perfect moment to start living.  Life is short, and our time is now, that’s all we’ve got.

You know that dream you’ve been sitting on, well, forever?  It’s time to figure out what’s stopping you. Perhaps your dream is world travel, a promotion, starting your own business, or writing a book.  Diverse dreams mysteriously have similar excuses.  What’s yours? I’ve done world travel and written 15 books, what’s next for Kit?

YOU CAN’T DO IT WHEN YOU’RE DEAD.

Is it fear that you’re not ready?
Or not good enough?
Do you lack time because your days are filled with activities that keep you busy but uninspired?
Is it money?
What, exactly, do you most want?
Many dreams take funds that may not simply sit in the old bank account.

It’s impossible to conquer what you can’t see or express.  Now is the perfect time to understand your barriers, but don’t stop at the surface.  Be vulnerable and dig deep with a trusted friend, spouse, coach, or mentor.  Write it all down and then say it out loud.  Is it an unchangeable truth or a story?  Only you have the question and know the answer.

I want adventure, moments I’ll remember forever with my family, to be creative, joyful, and playful, to make a big difference in people’s lives, even in small ways, and to inspire others to create the life they most want.

Time to take out your pen again. Start writing a list of what you want most in life.  It’s OK to start with tangibles, like a car that isn’t always in the shop or a house with room for your hobbies, but once again, dig deeper. Now, back to what might be stopping you… Caught in the cycle?  You can choose to break free.

Life is short, live it now, this moment, and every moment. You can’t know if next week is too late to start–you’ve got today!  Why wait? Are you willing to commit to one thing you can do today that will move you closer to your dream?  Will you be brave enough to write it in the comments?  I hope so.

EMBRACE THE PRESENT MOMENT- EVERY SINGLE INSTANT!

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness, and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

READ
Reading through the quotes below about life can do the trick if you’re looking for a pick-me-up or a healthy dose of motivation. Whether centered around positive affirmations, self-care, or success, life quotes can be powerful inspirational tools.

THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.

BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed, amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to real life. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.

SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work, and it’s next to impossible with your busy schedule. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.

QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.

QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.

PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation when we need it most.

WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things, helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.

THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.

READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

I HOPE THE FOLLOWING WORDS
INSPIRE YOU AND ADD TO YOUR LIFE >>

“The unexamined life is not worth living.” — Socrates.

“Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” — George Addair.

“Dream big and dare to fail.” — Norman Vaughan.

“You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.” — Beverly Sills.

“Though we seem grieved at the shortness of life in general, we wish every period of it at an end. The minor longs to be at age, then to be a man of business, then to make up an estate, then to arrive at honors, then to retire.” — Luc de Clapiers

“Life is long if you know how to use it.”
Seneca the Younger

“The shortness of life, I keep saying, makes everything seem pointless when I think about the longness of death. When I look ahead, all I can see is my final demise. And they say, But maybe not for seventy or eighty years. And I say, Maybe you, but me, I’m already gone.”
Elizabeth Wurtzel

“When we realize the shortness of life, we begin to see the importance of making every moment count.”
Dillon Burroughs

“As to the gods, I have no means of knowing either that they exist or do not exist.”
Protagoras

“It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much. … The life we receive is not short, but we make it so; we are not ill provided, but use what we have wastefully.”
Seneca the Younger

“Those who make the worst use of their time are the first to complain of its shortness.”
Jean de la Bruyere

“The shortness of life, so often lamented, may be the best thing about it.”
Arthur Schopenhauer

“The vistas of possibility are only limited by the shortness of life.”
Winston Churchill

“So far are we generally from thinking what we often say of the shortness of life, that at the time when it is necessarily shortest we form projects which we delay to execute, indulge such expectations as nothing but along train of events can gratify, and suffer those passions to gain upon us which are only excusable in the prime of life.”
Lyndon B. Johnson

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

Each week goes by so quickly.
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!

Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
You can keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day, each moment!

Sorry, but I did not register for my daily activities this week.
In the future, I will make sure I post daily.
And, there you go.

THEN, KEEP DOING NEW (DAILY) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.

Winter is here now.
But there are still things you can grow.
And remember about indoor gardening.

A self-supporting life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.

You must look into it.

Because I am back on the road.
There will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.

When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.

START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!

******************
ALL OUR LIVES, WE MUST CHALLENGE OURSELVES!
YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK >>
List things you want to accomplish before your death.
Start now to fulfill those obligations.
******************
NEXT BLOG >>
Hmm, not sure right now.
We will both find out next week.
