ABOUT THIS CURRENT BLOG–

How do you realize what is essential in life?
What is important to you?

You will only realize the importance of something once it is gone. Family, life partner, children, friends, career, money—everything is essential. To discover the value of a particular person or thing, try being away from it for a few days. What is truly important to you?

You will only realize the importance of something once it is gone. Family, life partner, children, friends, career, money—everything is essential. Try being away from a particular person or thing for a few days to realize its value.

Positive words of encouragement matter more than we think. And giving positive words to others helps you start thinking of yourself more positively, too. When you look for the good in the world and others, you start finding it.

Value of Food:
Only a hungry person can realize the value of the food.

Value of Time:
ONE YEAR–Ask a student who failed a grade.
ONE MONTH–Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.
ONE WEEK–Ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
ONE HOUR. Ask the lovers waiting to meet.
ONE MINUTE–Ask a person who just missed a train.
ONE SECOND–Ask someone who just avoided an accident.
ONE MILLISECOND–Ask the person who won a silver medal at the Olympics.

Treasure every moment!
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Remember, time waits for no one.
Today is a gift—that’s why it’s called the present.

Value of a Family:
Ask an orphan or a person from an old age home.

Value of Life:
Ask someone who escaped death in an eye-blink time and got a new, happy life with few changes. Like me when I got hit by a truck–twice.

Everyone we meet will die (including you)
The universe will eventually experience heat death.
In 100 years —
Who will remember you?
Who will remember all of this?
Does someone remembering all of this makes it truly “matter”?
Does all this matter?

I receive about 100 news articles on worldwide subjects to read each day. Of course, there are too many, so I scan each one and ask myself, “Does this matter to me?” Will what I read add to my life and help others? Life is short; you need to sort through things that matter.

It could matter to you if that’s what you wish to do with your life. It could matter subjectively. But does what we do in life matter without bias? No, I don’t think so. Does it matter that it may only matter subjectively and not objectively? Well, that depends on you. I value subjectivity and objectivity equally.

The importance of something depends on the circumstances and can be determined by considering its potential impact on oneself and others. I know many people who get very upset about little things that happen in life. Little things are a waste of time; you must move on.

What is truly important to you?
Does what we do in life matter?
Do you know if what you do in life matters?
It matters because we can all do amazing things.

THINK ABOUT THIS–EVERYTHING MATTERS, BUT NOTHING IS IMPORTANT.

Realizing at the same time that simultaneously, it doesn’t matter at all is the paradox that fuels itself. It doesn’t matter whether you do what you want, what your parents want, or what your friends want. Ultimately, we will have minimal impact on this universe.

And that thought, for me, is liberating. It matters greatly to me to do what I want to do and to add value in the way I’d like to add value. Because I know that regardless of whether I do what others want or do what I want, the reality is that it will make almost no difference.

Sometimes, we lose sight of what’s essential in life. We get wrapped up in our lives and let everything else suffer. For example, when we allow work to take over, our exercise routine might get forgotten, or a hobby might fade away. What is important to you?

And if you can handle the extra ten pounds on your body or aren’t too passionate about the hobby, life will go on, no matter what. But more often than not, when we get busy at work or play and let it take over our lives, the people we care about most pay the price.

DON’T WASTE TIME MAKING WHAT IS UNIMPORANT IMPORTANT.

You always have a choice and limited time.
So why not do something that will make you happy?
Finding as much joy as possible is the key to a good life.

We often talk about the essential things in our life. But how many of us have ever stopped to think about which things are most important to us, let alone how much time we spend on our priorities compared to less important things?

Whether something is essential depends on its context and potential consequences. To determine if something is important, consider its impact on yourself and others. Could a god fit that bill?

As you may know, I have never believed in any god, and life has no meaning! You, I, and all other living creatures have no sense and are not better than a fly, mosquito, or rat! Of course, try telling this to a god-thumping, religious nut; it will go nowhere.

I guarantee you they will tell you that “You are made in (insert their religious god’s name) image, and all humans have a motive to fulfill. And guess what—”God”—is that motive? This is to gather more believers in their specific god.

It’s also to prop up their religion, of course! Because, you know, out of all the thousands of religions that have come, gone, and are in practice now, there is only one true one, and, of course, it is theirs. You must remember that religious views have done extreme harm to life on earth.

If you have arguments for a god, I have two questions for you:

  • Please give me your one BEST realistic and rational proof for your god.
  • Tell me why I should believe in this god.

As I’ve written, the key to a great life is to find as much joy as possible while helping others find their joy. Joy and happiness can be found no matter what might have occurred in your past or present. You must be the one to find your joy and happiness.

LIVE FOR THE MOMENT — EVERY MOMENT!

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.

BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

“YOU”
How you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determines everything in your life, and it all derives from your quality of thinking. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.

SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.

QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.

QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.

PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation often when we need it most.

WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things—helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.

THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.

READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

I HOPE THE FOLLOWING WORDS ADD TO YOUR LIFE >>

Yes, finding purpose and meaning in life is often considered necessary for several reasons:

Mental Well-Being: A sense of purpose can enhance mental health, contributing to lower levels of anxiety and depression. It provides a framework for individuals to navigate challenges and setbacks.

Motivation and Goals: Purpose directs individuals to set and pursue goals. It can lead to more remarkable persistence and resilience when facing difficulties.

Fulfillment and Satisfaction: Engaging in activities aligned with one’s values and interests can lead to a more profound sense of fulfillment

How important is it to find purpose in life?

Originally Answered: How important is it to find purpose in life?

Not only is it essential, it’s imperative. A life of no purpose is a life of aimless wander with misery in sight.
========================

Most need help with their proper purpose or need clarification about it. Just because someone says they have a purpose doesn’t mean it’s true.
Does everyone have a purpose?
I question this myself a lot.
How about abusive people?
Do they have a purpose?

To answer the question, finding purpose in life is imperative because purpose is why you and I exist today. The purpose is our why, or it answers why a person is alive and living.

Now, I know that many people do not know the purpose of life, but not knowing does not make the purpose of life or each one any less important.

Is it that important to find your life purpose?
Originally Answered: Do you think finding your life purpose is imperative?

Why You Need a Purpose
“A central purpose serves to integrate all the other concerns of a man’s life. It establishes the hierarchy, the relative importance, of his values; it saves him from pointless inner conflicts; it permits him to enjoy life on a wide scale and to carry that enjoyment into any area open to his mind, whereas a man without a purpose is lost in chaos.”—Ayn Rand

Is it really that important to find your life purpose?
Originally Answered: Do you think finding your life purpose is really important?

No, but it is essential to live your life so you don’t regret anything when you check out. This could be finding your purpose in life, like writing a book and getting it published or whatever is important to you. But it can just as well be to travel, find the love of your life and spend your life with her, become the best dancer in the world or just play every computer game ever made for the rest of your life; it doesn’t matter as long as it makes you happy.

Not only important: in my case, essential. Until I felt like I had a significant purpose in life (other than being good to people, doing my best, etc.), I had a tough time just living life (understatement). We tend to prioritize and define ourselves by the purpose and meaning we put on ourselves or other people put on us, so like everything else, it’s balance. In other words, I probably put too much emphasis on finding purpose and meaning, but they were never lost—they surround us when you allow yourself to be sensitive to them.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!

Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day.

12/7–Off to Costco and other errand places

12/8–Hi, Beth.
Building a rack to hold wood to burn.
My wood stand should turn out strong and accurate; we’ll see.

12/9–Nothing significant happened today to write about.

12/10–Yikes, Cindy told me this morning at 5:39 am that she wants me to leave. Once again, this came out of nowhere. So, I will pack up my things and hit the road. So strange.

So, I loaded up the van and headed out. It was difficult and scary in the snow and ice.

First, it was with my sister, who I visited right before Cindy. Willow (her middle name, and I grew up knowing her as Kath.)

Kath and I did not get along very well. She has lived alone for so long that my presence made her scary. She said and did some crazy things.

Cindy had sent me an email, and I let Kath read it.
She said the words were crazy and made no sense.
She asked me why I would want to go and be with this person.

Most of the time, Cindy seems to have it together. But, I found she can sometimes make no sense and be terrible. I see why she is seeing a couple of psychologists to help her figure things out. In the meantime, I had to suffer through being kicked out of her house (this was the second time!)

She later told me some things were missing, and she thought I had taken them. One was the batteries from her fireplace. First of all, why would I even care about those batteries? And, of course, I did not take them. She spoke of some other things like that that were missing. She either put them somewhere else herself or other guys put them somewhere else.

Today, starting at about 2 a.m., I drove over 600 miles. Eventually, I ended up at a McDonald’s, got online, and charged my stuff. I then set up the van and slept in their parking lot. Right now, I am tired, but I should sleep well. I am also taking two AdvilPMs, which should help me sleep.

It’s 8:44 p.m., and it’s icy outside. My sleepy bag is warm; I have to get in it.

12/12–Last night, I parked at a McDonalds, got online, and plugged in. I covered all the van windows.

12/13–I am in the town of my daughters, Jasmine and April. They told me they were each too busy to see me today, so I told them I would keep busy. (I am in a library working on this blog.)

Today, I received a lovely email from Beth.
She is on my mind and heart.
So it was great to hear from her.

My daughters and their mom, Mary Ellen, live in the area.
It will be strange to see Chiz (My nickname for Mary Ellen.)
I will let you know in the next blog post.

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.

Winter now, but there are still things you can grow.
And, remember about indoor gardening.

A self-supportive life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
It would help if you looked into it.

Because I am back on the road, there will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.

When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.

START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!
