INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
As you know, last week’s blog was sent on Sat instead of Fri, I heard from my dear friend, Liisa Pyke, asking if I was alright, since she did not see my blog. Thanks for your caring and concern, Liisa, so good of you.I was thinking about heading East toward the gulf and New Orleans, but, because of the Corona drama in Eastern Texas, I won’t. I’ve already been on that route, anyway, and really my heart desires the West. So, I switched direction and now heading back to Big Bend National Park.
I love it at Big Bend. But, good thing I have Google on my phone. I looked it up and Big Bend Park is closed. And I really like it there. Well, next time.
So, after that, I decided I will go back to New Mexico to see my dear friend Cheeta. Then, perhaps back to the parks in Utah. I could never get enough are those parks in that state.
When heading out earlier I stopped at a McDonald’s to work on the blog, I can still hook in and use their WiFi. There are still serving food through their drive-through, but, not one person came through and no one parked there. An employee actually came out and told me I had to leave. This world is getting so strange.
A fun drive today across Texas. Mostly flat with many cows, as you’ll see from the photos. I’m heading back to New Mexico, but first, I want to go back to Big Bend National Park, hopefully, it’s open. You’ll find out as I find out. It was closed as you already read.
One of these for dinner tonight?
Very strange to be out driving. I went through some small towns and I saw no people, also I saw a no vehicles, like a ghost town—very very strange—kind of eerie. Where did the people go!
In one of the small towns I went to, they had the grass so I pulled out my juggling clubs and threw them around. Later, four office workers came out and told me I made their day. I let them know my story and there were quite impressed, nice. But, my juggling is still lacking.
Yes, I can still juggle.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>Motivation is how we get things done. And achieve big goals in life. Unfortunately, it’s a finite resource – we can run out of motivation unless we replenish it daily.
Listening to music that motivates us, using positive affirmations, reading motivational books and listening to podcasts can all make us want to jump right back up again.
Because a lot of staying motivated comes from feeding yourself with a steady diet of things that motivate. I hope my weekly blog helps you.
Sometimes, simply reading through a list of motivational words and contemplating what they mean to you, is a great way to feed your mind with positive motivation.
So, here is a list of more than 200 (I keep adding to it!) single motivational words that have been compiled to inspire and motivate you.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>4/3—Back to staying with Shasta, Sondra and Trea. Like I wrote before, their land is like in a forest, so I fit right in. Thank you so much, ladies, for letting me stay here for a bit.
Today is my anniversary! On this date in 1982 I was hit by a truck and went through a 37-day coma.
Did you see >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr8QFnD1yGc&t=57s
Right now I’m typing using my voice on the cell phone. I’ve never done this before, it’s so easy.
4/6—Couldn’t take it anymore, how do you get back. Not knowing what the future will hold about charging up my devices, I am actually writing this now with a pen and paper and will transfer it later onto my computer.
Mooooo!
I’m parked near a lake after I went North. The weather is getting warmer, I have no idea where I’m going through. I will sleep here for the night, next to the lake, with a smile on my face—as I am back in nature again.
LONG and straight roads in Texas.
I feel bad that so many bugs are killed while I am driving.I like writing a blog using my voice. It goes directly onto Gmail, then I will move it into something else and edit. As I said before, I’m just learning now how to do voice typing, and I’m glad to take you along for the ride. I see that doing it this way, I might put on some long blogs.
Nice Flowers along the road.
I can charge my phone while I drive, so I don’t have to worry about charging up my computer.
It’s a little after 7 right now, I will do some reading and some writing and I will think of you. Hope you sleep well, bye for now.
5/7—So, today was the day I called about Big Bend, they were closed, makes me sad.
So I guess we’ll be off to see Cheeta tomorrow or the next day. What is an interesting life I lead?
4/8—Very warm today, over 80 degrees. Yes, back in Roswell, New Mexico. To see my friend, Cheeta, once again. This town is very flat, I plan to do a lot of bike riding.
Very fast speeds in Texas.
My ankle, where I spilled boiling water anointed, it’s getting worse. The pain today is excruciating. When it happened right away a big blister developed. Now the whole foot is swelling up and painful. Makes me want to rush to the hospital to have her checked, I’m not scared. I’ll let you know what happens of course.
It ended up that I did go to a hospital and have it checked out. They really did not do anything for me, and yet I had to wait hours. The doctor determined that it was not infected and should heal alright.
4/9, 10—THE WORLD IS SO VERY STRANGE RIGHT NOW.
Hardly any people visible anywhere in the area, people aren’t even out running. How long can this last?

MY CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK >>
A big one this week. You have time right now, go through your entire house and get rid of what you are not using. Totally clear your home out if needed. Living in a van, I have learned that living with less makes a much better life.**************************
NEXT BLOG>>
Hopefully, we will all get back to life by next week.
If you need someone to talk with, I would love to be that person. Call me, please – 610-400-3233.

INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>Sorry I could not get my blog out to you yesterday. A slow week, hope I can still inspire you some.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>From my book series, “Beyond Your Potential” >>
They Can Do It and You Can’t
If you have lost part of your skills and part of your life in some way, you will look at others in a strange way and wonder why they do not know what you could be going through. The rest of the world seems to be going on as usual and only you have changed; an extremely lonely experience. Things have changed, but you are the one seeing this change the most: a big challenge. Face that challenge and move through the change—pushing forward all the time.
Put in More than Half-Effort
Challenge yourself! It is difficult to emphasize this enough. Whether you juggle, play basketball, climb mountains, make up tunes at the piano, or play cribbage—challenge yourself to be your very best, no matter your physical abilities. There are ways of exploring the limits of our skills, desires, and abilities as we try and improve them. Don’t just make a feeble attempt at what you do, putting in half the effort. Drive yourself toward excellence!
Do Your Very Best Every Time
No matter how good or bad you are at things, aim toward doing your very best—every time. This is something I learned in my juggling days. When I practiced, I put full effort into each attempt of a juggling trick. Put your all into every attempt of every task at hand; push yourself toward excellence, no matter what your circumstances might be. By excellence, I mean to do it at the very best of your ability, not just general excellence. Don’t compare yourself with others. Make this aiming toward excellence a habit and it will make your life a wonderful adventure.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>3/28 through 4/1—What to do, what to do. With things closing down it has been very difficult to be on the road. I heard from my Facebook friend, Trea Cleaves, who is living near Austin, Texas. I decided to go for a visit.
You see, I was in Louisiana and heading to New Orleans to see a juggling friend, he let me know that the virus was rampant there, so I changed direction heading back toward Austin.
4/2—So, after a pleasant stay with Shasta and Sondra and Trea, I was anxious to get back on the road, to the south again. It makes it difficult to travel, normally I stop at various McDonald’s and libraries, where I can plug in and use their WiFi, but, now I can still get their WiFi while in the parking lot, but I need to plug in to charge things, so, a difficulty.
Trea, I do hope you find your way back to horses.
Right now I am parked in a residential area parked for the night, 7pm. I will type for awhile and read; very quiet and comfortable here. Currently I am pleasing my palate with apples and grapes and cheese and crackers. Obtained from a food bank, a great dinner it is. And, the glass of wine adds to it well.
Yet, I moved. There is a train track not too far away, and I did not want to hear trains through the night, so off I went toward the south. Found a friendly place toward the south where I will be for the night.
I’ve been writing to you every week for more than a year, a fun project for me. I am thinking I might, in the future, stay in the wilderness offline for a week or two, please don’t panic if you don’t find my blog (like you ever care—I hardly hear from anyone about the words I write. So, do you can?)
I think I wrote to you before about my spilling boiling water on my foot? Well, it has been hurting, much, I hope I won’t have to chop my foot off, that might hurt!
4/3—This date, back in 1982 I was hit by a truck and went through a 37-day coma. I’ve learned much since then and have helped many people, which makes me happy.
Today I have a slight sore throat. With this Corona thing, it gets me thinking.
4/4—Heading back to be at Shasta, Sondra, and Trea’s house. I tried to make it out on my own, but, with libraries and McDonald’s closed, I have no where to power up my devices. Thanks so much for letting me stay over and use electricity.

MY CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK >>
Are you smiling and friendly, even when you don’t feel like it? Make it a constant habit, it will make your life better.

INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
Sorry I could not get my blog out to you yesterday, Friday, my normal day of publishing. I was busy with some stuff and could not make time. And, with limited places (McDonald’s and Libraries insides are closed), I’ve not been able to write much.Trouble—over the weekend I spilled some tea on my computer and the monitor stopped working. So, what could I do? I did go to a Best Buy, they are not doing any repairs at the moment. In fact, I could not even go into the store, there was a line of cars of people who wanted to buy something.
They had employees outside taking orders – so I ordered the guy to bring me a new computer. He took my card and came back with the same kind I’ve been using.
Good thing I have a Google account which saves all the details of your computer; I hooked in easily. But, I had already written a lot for the next blog, so I am going by memory at this point. I synced in and can now write to you, I was worried I would not be able to.
And, another problem, I had a cup of boiling water and I spilled some on my foot, I quickly ripped the shoe and sock off, but, too late, the top of my right foot got burnt very badly.
Such a strange world right now, massive change everywhere. I hope you are getting through things well in your own changes.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>Successful people don’t become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance—happiness, wealth, a great career, purpose—is the result of hard work and hustle over time.
To be successful, you have to use each minute of every day as an opportunity to improve, to be better, to get a little bit closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with a busy schedule, next to impossible.
But the best part is, the more you accomplish, the more you’ll want to do, the higher you’ll want to reach. So as long as you have the hunger for success, you will always have the power within you to achieve it.
Use your ambition, drive, and desire—along with these 17 motivational quotes—to make it happen.
1. Your limitation—it’s only your imagination.
2. Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you.
3. Sometimes later becomes never. Do it now.
4. Great things never come from comfort zones.
5. Dream it. Wish it. Do it.
6. Success doesn’t just find you. You have to go out and get it.
7. The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.
8. Dream bigger. Do bigger.
9. Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.
10. Wake up with determination. Go to bed with satisfaction.
11. Do something today that your future self will thank you for.
12. Little things make big days.
13. It’s going to be hard, but hard does not mean impossible.
14. Don’t wait for an opportunity. Create it.
15. Sometimes we’re tested not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths.
16. The key to success is to focus on goals, not obstacles.17. Dream it. Believe it. Build it.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>3/22/20—I road on a ferry boat, I loved the experience. In fact, I was transported by ferry two different times this week in my touring. Yes, my van on a boat. I took a few photos, enjoy! Both ferry rides were no-charge, and I really enjoyed the experience. One of the workers told me the boat will make 48 trips in a day.
3/23—After purchasing my new computer I needed to plug it in and connect to the internet. All the McDonald’s and libraries where I normally go were closed, what could I do? Jim and Julie were headed over there to take care of things. I stayed the night in the van parked outside. Thanks so much, Jim and Julie.
Went for a long bike ride today. I saw and got eaten by a whale, though.
3/24—I actually followed a sign saying, “Beach Access”, and what a great find I found. Miles away from any other people, I was able to park right on the beach and spend the night. Arriving in the afternoon, I went for a walk looking for driftwood for my fire-stove.
So nice out here. I have enough food and drink to last me at least a few weeks, I should have stayed. But, it is important to get words off to you each week.
3/26—Stayed last night at a Walmart parking lot, was quiet, slept well.
Later I stopped by Palmetto Island State Park. With absolutely no one around, this place was fantastic. I spent some time looking around and admiring the beauty of nature.
I saw a sign on one building saying, “Wash House”. I went in planning for a shower, all I saw were toilets! The place should have said, “Toilet House”.
This was a very nice area and I would have loved to stay the night, but, I saw another sign: “We lock the gates at 5pm.” So, down the road I went. Hard to think that anyone even comes here – AND IT IS SO NICE~!
On my way out I stopped in another forest and gather, broke, and cut wood for my wood-stove. Hard to imagine I went through so much so quickly.
3/27—I hooked up with my Facebook friend, Trea Cleaves and stopped by for a visit. So nice here, she lives with her daughter and her daughter’s wife in a forest area, I love it here.

INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
Every week after I put out my blog I feel like I am starting on a clean slate each time –-
New Adventures
-
Meeting new people
-
Seeing new sites and things
In Kingsville, Florida currently. The library here has all I need and not many people here. I slept in their parking lot last night, and I have enough food to last me for quite a while. Right now I don’t see a reason to move on. But, I do miss the wilderness, I may have to get out for that.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>
As life can be difficult now, remember to keep your humor and joy in life. The following words are from my book series, “Beyond Your Potential”Don’t Turn into an Adult
I hear adults say to their children things like, “Stop being so immature,” or, “When are you going to grow up?” These people are trying to teach their children not to be kids. At times, I’m sure these adults are jealous of the carefree and innocent nature of kids.
Bring back that childhood fun and wonder that is within each of us. Take the time to ride your bike, fly a kite, juggle those balls, smell a rose, walk through the woods or a beautiful park, or walk barefoot in the sand at the beach. As adults, we need to explore the child within us.
Grow Up?
People “turn” into adults. They lose their childhood curiosity, fun, and play in their life. Without these traits, it is hard to learn and change. Even with the power of play, somewhere between early days and maturity, many of us stop playing and often stop learning.
We exchange play for work and responsibilities. When we do have some time, we often zone out in front of the computer or TV rather than engage in some creative, brain-stimulating play. By giving ourselves the approval to play with the joyful mind of a child, we can continue to gain benefits throughout our lives.
Some benefits of bringing humor into your life:
-
Humor boosts immunity
-
Relaxes the whole body
-
An antidote to loneliness and isolation
-
Lowers stress hormones
-
Decreases pain
-
Triggers the release of endorphins
-
Supercharges learning
-
Provides peak experiences and intrinsic motivation
-
Re-oxygenates your blood
-
Helps defuse conflict
-
Adds joy and zest to life
-
Eases anxiety and fear
-
Enhances resilience
-
Protects the heart
-
Enhances teamwork
-
Improves mood
-
Promotes group bonding
-
Dissolves distressing emotions
-
Helps you relax and recharge
-
Humor shifts perspective
With all these benefits, you need to laugh and enjoy life more. Play is as significant to our physical and psychological health as getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising.
The Child in You?
You remember how much fun it was as a kid to just play ball with friends, fly kites, juggle, and explore? You can keep the same enjoyment as an adult by unceasingly learning more and doing interesting things. If you find yourself missing that child inside of you, perhaps you can get in touch with the child in you again by knowing that this child is not far behind you. Let yourself go a bit, bring back the curiosity and joy of life.A Joy!
Take time to be silly, to laugh, to make jokes about yourself. Connect with people in this way and you will lead a better life. You may have to teach yourself to bring that childhood humor back. When I find myself being too serious, I put my hands out to my sides up by my shoulders and pretend that I’m an airplane. My daughters don’t like when I do this, but it brings me back to earth again. I bring on the childhood joy. Beyond all these marvelous reasons for playing, it simply brings fun to your life. Play is a state of mind that is blissful and happy. It will change the way you connect with people and how they connect with you.*****************************
MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
3/14—Still have a sore throat, yikes. Corona–nawww, I drank some Corona beer, that is all. At 5am, I was out to a local McDonald’s to get online. I saw on the floor a fairly large spider, and I knew it would be killed eventually being here. So, I scooped him up, carried him outside and let him go in a bush. You see, I care about life.Today I was back with Jim and Julie Mackenzie. Thanks for allowing me to wash clothes there and what great friend you are. Coached Jim on his juggling, saw improvement with 5 clubs. Yet, because of their cats and my allergies, I had to skedaddle, couldn’t breathe. So, now I am heading toward San Antonio.
At a McDonald’s now. People are here, I have been seeing many places and no people. Are people worried about dying? I have no fears about the end result of life, I am comfortable and ready to go. No plans on that now, but I know it is coming (as you should know, too.) I am trying to find the most joy I can before the end, as would be a suggestion for you, too.
This afternoon I spoke with my sister, Sandy. There are so few in my family I can talk with now, great to talk with you, Sandy.
Now it is 5pm, I am the only one here at this McDonald’s. It is Sunday, I guess people are scared and staying home where it is safe?
On the map, I saw Attwater Prairie Chicken National Water Reserve. With such a silly name, I had to go and check it out. Nothing but fields for as far as you can see (yet, a few trees thrown in there.) I drove about five miles down Prairie Chicken Road.
I found a turnoff and this is where I will bed down for the night. Very quiet, no cars or people near for miles, just how I like it. Away out in the wilderness it is.
Offline, on battery power and writing, I do like this.
Some people might think, “What if you get stuck out there?” Like I’ve written before, I always keep enough food and water to last me at least two weeks. And, my feet work, I can walk the miles back to the freeway to get help.
For now, it feels great to be back in the wilds.
Hope you sleep well tonight, I know I will, “Goodnight for now.”
3/15—I ended up not sleeping so well. At midnight I was awakened by a sheriff’s Deputy named Andrew Young (at my age now he did seem “young”.) He asked me what I was doing there, of course, I said, “Trying to sleep, can’t you tell?”
He told me I could not sleep there, I said, “But I am bothering no one.” He said I would have to leave, and, at midnight, I did not want to argue with him. So he told me to follow him, as he drove some miles out to a busy truck stop and told me I could sleep there.
Highway trucks often leave their engines on while they sleep, as they were doing here; just too noisy. So, being so busy and noisy, I knew I could not sleep there. Down the road I went, tired as I was. I found a dirt road and took it down to where I found a place to park. I ended up sleeping until about 5:30am, a night of good sleep for me.
I got onto I-10 and went west toward San Antonia, my next destination. So I McDonald’s was ahead, so here I am. Four hours at this place on my computer.
Just “spending time” today. I am at yet another McDonald’s on their wifi. I got in a conversation with one of the employees here and told her my story. She ended up buying a copy of my book, Accident, thank you for that, Annie.
This time of isolation we need to figure out what is truly important to each of us. We have to make time for introspection on your life, how you are living, and how you are helping people.
I pulled into Palmetto State Park, and I like it. Nice to back in a wilderness/park setting, which I have missed. At this point I have no rush for anything, maybe I will be here for a few days?
I was at Palmetto in the afternoon, too early to park for sleepies, so down the road to a town with an interesting name, Luling, Texas. A small and flat town, I found a place to park for the night next to a park, nice.
My van went past 200,000 miles today, still running well.
With this Corona thingie going on, I feel quite safe living in my van. I can just drive to a safe part of the US and keep myself there until things settle down. If you need me to come and help you with anything, I could be there in a few days or less.
A gentle rain just started, from reports, it might be around for the next few days.
I will let you know. Here are my plants I grow in the van.
3/16—I did sleep well last night, although, I awoke for the day at about 3:30am, as usual.
Still have somewhat of a sore throat. Not worried about any Corona stuff in any way, though. In fact, I have no fears of death at all I have lived a good life and helped many people, that is allH I care about.
Death is something that, it seems, no many people think much about and/or talk about. It is, sorry to say, coming to all of us.
Are you living your life with joy?
Are you helping as many people in life as you can?Not that I am not taking precautions. It is about 7am and I have been at this McDonald’s since 5. I had to poop, and, instead of sitting and taking care of of matters, I put the seat up using my foot and squatted some as left my doo doo in the toilet.
Sorry to bring up this dirty topic. Yet, it’ s not dirty, it is part of life which each of us does (come on now, admit you poop!) And, sorry, no photos for you to see.
So, I came to San Antonio because I know there is a coop bike shop here and the bike needs some work. I must say, this city is not nice. Dirty, bad roads, not laid out well. It is 2:30pm now and the bike shop is open from 5pm to 7, so, time to spend (not waste.)
Here I am at yet another McDonald’s plugged in and on their wifi. Not many people frequent these places in the last week.
Where are people?
Where are you?Looking forward to going south and back to smaller cities.
8:51pm Writing to you offline of battery power. Still heading south, pulled into a small town to park in for the night.
This afternoon I went to “https://www.earnabikecoop.org/ ” to do my bike repairs. They had a wheel that fit well and, after I cleaned it up, it was like a new wheel. Philip Behee is the manager and also my initial contact.
So, I worked with Philip Behee and Oscar to get the bike going good again, which made me so happy. And, in the end, they did not even charge me (see my big smile?)
If you are in the San Antonio area and need a bike or need work done on your bicycle, go see earnabike, they will do you well and make you happy! Contact Philip at 210-350-8598 or philip@eabsa.org (you will be glad you did!)
Also, check out their website and how they help people, especially kids, you will be quite impressed. If you can donate and help their cause, that would be wonderful.
https://www.earnabikecoop.org/3/17—Spent some time at McDonald’s online this morning, then moved on to the local library. I am the only person in this huge place, strange. Seeing all these books and no one to read any of them.
Such a big change for the whole world, has it gotten much bigger than you really is? Was this a manufactured crisis? Or, pandemic? Through it all I have tried to jovial and joking with people. Even through the worst of things we much keep our humor going.
Went to a McDonald’s further to the south and found out you could not eat-in, which means no computer work there. I checked GPS and discovered there was a library about 3 miles away, so here I am.
This thing we are going through is quite strange. Is there someone behind it trying to control the masses? I am hearing that everyone is supposed to stay home with family and such. I have no home, I have no family to speak of, what am I to do? (will you be my family?)
It’s been more than a year since Tina left me, I still think good thoughts of her, daily. I guess I will never understand. I simply want to be her friend, she will not even have that.
Boy, while I am driving I think of many things I could write to you, then later I forget some of these. I will try harder to remember for you.
So, I am now in the southern part of Texas, in Pharr at the moment. While driving down I started seeing palm trees with cows around them, made me smile.
On my way, while driving I stopped by Alice, Texas, just because it’s a funny name for a city (I never did find out who “Alice” is or was.) I looked up and found a food bank which was open from 1-3pm, so I went. There were about 15 people eventually there.
At the library I am at now their hours are 8am to 9pm, the longest hours I know of any library. I might be here for a few days at least. Only a few people in the library, strange.
I hear of people who travel like I do who spend up to 14 days in a campground. My question is, what do they do with their time? I would quickly get bored, I believe.
3/18—I came down to southern Texas for the warmth, last night was about 27c (80f degrees), so, uncomfortably warm.
My sore throat is better today, I have been worried because of this corona thing. By the way, do you know why they chose the name “corona” for the name?
I am finding that many places and businesses around the world are shutting down, that scares me. The panic is much worse than any virus. Do what you can to help other people do better in their life. Remain positive as you deal with others.
Like I’ve written before, I have no concerns or worries about death. I’ve brought joy to many people, taught many to live a better life and written many books to help advance in life.
Now I cannot even go into a McDonald’s to get on the internet. But, I can stay in my van in the parking lot and get online on battery power. But, today I was near Brownsville, Texas I could not stand so many vehicles and people, so I drove 60 miles to get to a small town with a small library. At this point, I am much happier in smaller towns with fewer people (wish you were here, though.)
So much change in the world right now.
I am here to help you, as well as I can.Drove out to South Padre Island. It is 7pm and I will sleep as close as I can to the beaches. So, I will be sleeping amongst million dollar properties – with a smile on my face. I will explore the area tomorrow. I plan to start riding my bike more and more, this will be a good place to start.
At this point, there is no rush for me to get anywhere. But, as might know, I get bored easily. I will have to reexamine things and find better ways.
Right now I am parked outside a McDonald’s sitting in the back of my van on their wifi. With my additional battery power, I could maintain for about ten hours.
Boy, it’s kind of exciting, what is coming next in the world? We cannot panic and must maintain whatever joy we can find; as I am.
8pm—Found a turnoff for South Padre Island Convention Center, which is on the beach with NO one around. I will sleep here tonight, very nice. It should be very quiet, the way I like it.
See, even with all these terrible things going on in the world you can still find good things. Open your mind to all the good there is, don’t look around the problems, just look through them and continue on. Your life is a magnificent event, remember?
Along with seeing the magnificence of life, remember to help other people all you can. That older person who lives five doors down from you, can you help them? And, at least, let them know that everything will turn out alright.
The plants I grow, cilantro, lettuce and spinach, I planted new seeds a little while ago, now that I am in warmer weather, they are coming up good. I will feast on these little plants soon.
3/19—The main reason I came down to southern Texas was for the warmth. When I was in Brownsville I was thinking of crossing the border into Mexico, but then I thought again. What if I were down there and they closed off the borders, which they have down.
I would have to learn to speak Mexican (not Spanish), worn different clothes and only eat Mexican food. Might have been an interesting change.
It seems that most people are bilingual here, speak both Mexican and American. These languages are different from Spanish and English, think about it.
It was time, so I went out and parked the van with the side doors next to a wall, then I open the doors and no one can see me as I shower naked. Feels great to be all cleaned up.
With this corona thingy the roads and somewhat empty and, of course, the library is barren.
And, by the way, my sore throat is better.
The library I am at now closes at 6pm, but they have outlets outside and internet is out here, too. So, here I am.
As I am “spending time”, I have to remember that there is no rush, for anything. All my life I have been go-go-go, I need to teach myself to go slower and enjoy the smaller things in life.
As I am parked in the library lot, I will just be bedding down there for the night.
For dinner, as a treat when I sold books recently, I picked up some shrimp and I will be making shrimp tacos. Just one word to describe them – delicious.
3/20—Slept until about 5am, that’s late for me. This morning I am out in the parking lot on battery power, but able to hook into the libraries wifi.
I’m back in the library now. Thinking about it, I could just stay here for a long time because I have enough food to last for a month and there would be no cost for gas, a good thing. Later today I plan on going for a bike right, a unicycle ride, and a juggle.
All day at the library on the computer, writing and such. I did a Facebook post which got over 100 reactions, I was surprised at that.
For dinner, I had some leftover shrimp, so Fetachini Alfredo with Shrimp it will be. Very comfortable here, wish you were with me.

INTRO FOR THIS WEEK >>
My van is my home, and I love it. Homeless, me, no way.Last week I wrote that I did not have much to write about—because I did not make things happen. That is how each of us can lead our life, to just go through and let things happen, or to “make” things happen. This upcoming week I plan to “make” things happen. You will see.
Not enough happened after all this week. I really need to get out to the wilderness soon, I miss my lifestyle.
I’m actually glad I am living in my van so I can drive to where things might be safer. Care to join me on the road?

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
1) “The Way Get Started Is To Quit Talking And Begin Doing.” – Walt Disney
This straight-to-business quote comes from the man who created the happiest place on earth – and a multi-billion-dollar empire.2) “The Pessimist Sees Difficulty In Every Opportunity. The Optimist Sees Opportunity In Every Difficulty.” – Winston Churchill
When it comes to success quotes by famous people, Winston Churchill’s inspirational words of wisdom always make the list.
3) “Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Too Much Of Today.” – Will Rogers
Will Rogers was an American actor, cowboy, columnist and social commentator who believed in keeping forward momentum.
4) “You Learn More From Failure Than From Success. Don’t Let It Stop You. Failure Builds Character.” – Unknown
When you replace ‘lose’ with ‘learn’ in your vocabulary, the thought of failure becomes less daunting and lets you focus on growth.
5) “It’s Not Whether You Get Knocked Down, It’s Whether You Get Up.” – Inspirational Quote By Vince Lombardi
Vince Lombardi was an American football hero who’s uplifting words frequently make it onto Top 10 Inspirational Quotes lists.
6) “If You Are Working On Something That You Really Care About, You Don’t Have To Be Pushed. The Vision Pulls You.” – Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs truly captured some of the wisdom of life in this statement. Do that which you are passionate about and your work will feel effortless.
7) “People Who Are Crazy Enough To Think They Can Change The World, Are The Ones Who Do.” – Rob Siltanen
I believe this is one of the best quotes to live by because it reminds me to think without limits and never doubt my wildest thoughts.
8) “Failure Will Never Overtake Me If My Determination To Succeed Is Strong Enough.” – Og Mandino
There’s a special place in my heart for these inspirational words. They remind me of my unwavering determination to become a motivational speaker.
9) “Entrepreneurs Are Great At Dealing With Uncertainty And Also Very Good At Minimizing Risk. That’s The Classic Entrepreneur.” – Mohnish Pabrai
This line always puts a smile on my face because it alludes to the excitement of not knowing what to expect but seeing a possible life-changing outcome.
10) “We May Encounter Many Defeats But We Must Not Be Defeated.” – Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou was one of the top civil rights activists and embraced a spirit of positive thinking and sheer determination.
11) “Knowing Is Not Enough; We Must Apply. Wishing Is Not Enough; We Must Do.” – Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
This piece of wisdom is one of my favorite quotes for students. It reminds us to apply what we learn and take action toward success, rather than waiting and hoping.
12) “Imagine Your Life Is Perfect In Every Respect; What Would It Look Like?” – Brian Tracy
The exercise mentioned in this excerpt of my personal development philosophy is one of the keys to gaining clarity for what you really want in life. Start with a clear vision of your ideal life and happiness, then work backward to achieve it.
13) “We Generate Fears While We Sit. We Overcome Them By Action.” – Dr. Henry Link
I love this pairing of quotation and image (below). Before we act, our imaginations often run wild, but when we move forward we often find the path ahead far less daunting than the horrifying version we had created in our minds.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
3/7—Last night Jim and Julie took me out for a Mexican meal, the best south-of-the-border food I have had in a very long time. In fact, I had two leftover tacos, ate one last night before sleepy time, then one this morning at about 4am.3/8—Spent today, Sunday, with Julie and Jim. Jim and I threw some stuff around in a jugglie way and great to spend time with both of them.
Along with the great Mexican food, the margaritas were a delightful mix.
3/9—Waiting for two deliveries by post, should be here today. They arrived in the afternoon. I unfurled my new mattress and it feels so wonderful. Nice to be on the road again, going south toward Corpus Christi.
3/10—Took a left and went to Galveston (remember, “Galveston, oh Galveston . . .”) Saw a very nice park, Oyster Creek Park, so I went. Spent a couple of hours cleaning and organizing the van. My new mattress is magnificent, so comfortable. Fifty bucks, a good investment.
Then it was on to Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. No, I didn’t see any animals there, but I did get to use my new ax for the first time, cutting wood down for my woodstove.
3/12—Just spending time the last few days. Mainly at libraries, very comfortable here. When was the last time you were at a library?
This morning I did some work on the van, did a shower on the far side of the parking lot, cut my hair and cleaned up.
I went to Costco to get gas. Then, of course, I went inside to get lunch (the free samples that I consume.) Because of Corona, they are no longer doing sampling! What a terrible thing.
Too much about Corona Virus, getting ridiculous. All I have to say about Corona is I bought some Corona Light Beer and it went down smooth. To tell you the truth, I have no worries about this “thing”. It will pass, give it time.
3/13—Last night I did a presentation for the monthly meeting of http://www.cheerfulclowns.com/. And, what a great group it was. I told my history and taught them all how to juggle with scarves; a few could already juggle, the rest loved their new skill. Many bought books, a good thing.
Talk of Corona was rampant. Most think the talk of the virus has gotten too big. Yet, this morning I had a sore throat, yikes. I will let you know how it goes.
This morning I had a sore throat as I got going. I am not that concerned, but with all this corona stuff it makes me think.
So, I have all day today with nothing planned or scheduled. Tomorrow I will be returning to Jim and Julie’s to wash some clothes and get a shower.
Mainly at the library online today, but this morning I did some cleaning of the van. When you are traveling this compact, you always need to keep things cleaned and organized.
Too long in the Houston area, you know how I don’t like cities. Off I will go toward the south. I want to spend some time in smaller cities where, I think, things will be safer. With too many people taking this corona scam so seriously, that scares me.

MY CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK >>
