    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>
Beth’s dog, Jemma, on the new carpet we just bought.
Many people I have to dream of escaping modern life and living on the road, as I have done for the last five years. With my writings, I want to open your eyes to see that you can change your life.
In fact, I know I have influenced at least three others to start living a life on the road. How about you, would you, could you, do it?
If you are not loving your current life, you can make changes to the better—and you must! This is the only life you will have, you must live your life to aim for the magnificence that you can.

Research and examine your own life. Ask yourself >>
    • What makes a good life for me?
    • How am I helping others to live a better life?
    • How can I make changes to make my life better, what I want? (by “better”, I mean a life that you love)
    • Am I alright alone in the world?
    • What is truly important to you?

This being the only life you will have, you must aim toward the brilliance you can. There are many of the brain injury area that my words go to. If you have gone through any kind of life-change, you can still find the happiness that is meant for you. I want to help you make discoveries that will bring you happiness.

This solitary life I have been living has changed after I met Beth at the library. We are both about the same age at 62, we have fallen in love and will be together for the rest of our lives. Such a relaxing thought that truly is.

    WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU! >>

Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thinking. This is why I find them so interesting, challenging, and important on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves.

Inspirational quotes provide us with a quick and timely burst of wisdom to get our focus back, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion.

I hope to inspire you with my words.
    Words have power.

At any age, you can (and should) make changes to make your life better.

You see, the way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determine everything that happens in your life. It all derives from your quality of thinking.

When you improve the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life—sometimes instantly!

Just as positive words can make someone smile, and/or, a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your own thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control! In fact, you have complete control over only one thing in the universe — your thinking — and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

To keep your motivation, you have to use each day as an opportunity for improvement, to be better, to get a little bit closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it!

    Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
Motivational words, yes, they’re just words.
But they’re positive words; they will keep you on track.

I hope the words I pick do help you.

    BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS>>
From my book series, Beyond Your Potential.

    LOSS AND GROWTH
“Adversity is another way to measure
the greatness of individuals. I never had
a crisis that didn’t make me stronger.”
    Lou Holtz

Loss of juggling ability, loss of being able to see well, suffering from ringing in the ears, loss of being able to run, I’ve had many losses. Loss is a part of life. We must accept the loss and learn to use the experience to grow. As I personally learned, after a loss or change, things will never be the same again.

THE GRIEF YOU EXPERIENCE AFTER A SIGNIFICANT LOSS WILL REQUIRE A TIME OF RECOVERY, AND GRIEF DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BRIEF.

Like a juggler, life is often a balancing act, and each time something causes you to waver, you must regain stability again as soon as possible, or risk an unnecessary drop or tumble through even more hardship—this time, self-inflicted.

When you suffer a major loss, such as a death in the family, a divorce, or relocation, it feels as if you have been hit by a truck (I know that feeling well.) It affects you mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

BEFORE YOU CAN GO ON WITH ANY SENSE OF BEING WHOLE, YOU NEED TO PICK UP AND REGAIN A SENSE OF BALANCE AGAIN.

But you must also learn from the change and loss to move past it how you can. By doing so, you will be able to progress through life again, as you were doing before the interruption. We all go through a myriad of losses in our life.

A few losses I have been through:
    • The first time I got hit by a truck, I lost my juggling ability and more. Yet, life goes on.
    • The loss of my wife through divorce and loss of my daughters was devastating for me. Yet, life goes on.
    • The second time I got hit by a truck, I lost my ability to run, which is something I cherish. Yet, life goes on.
    • After the first accident, I see double. From a bike accident, I always hear buzzing—no silence. Yet, life goes on.
    • I lost my mind, which is a hard thing to think about. Is life still going on?

I’m not asking for sympathy by mentioning some of the challenges I’ve encountered. Of course, there are millions of people who have been through much worse.

We should not compare ourselves to others. Live your own life; focus on yourself and how you can add to the world.

When I focus on the future and the hopes I have, my thoughts change. Clinging onto the past and what “could” have been destroys me. I must keep away from doing that. It will help you, too, if you focus on your future with hope.

THE PAST IS A MEMORY—LEAVE IT THERE.

Remember the joys you have had and the wisdom you acquired, and then leave the past in the past.

In thinking back, while I’m sorry about the negative events, I’m not sorry for the growth and learning that I’ve gained from them.

FACE IT RIGHT AND YOU WILL MISS NOTHING.

You’ve missed chances and opportunities at times in your past, don’t be sad or regretful. You have your future, get excited and enthusiastic about the possibilities your future holds for you.

Although sometimes, as I was recovering and looking at the future, I did wish that I could go back. I’ve learned too much that is too precious to ever want to go back now.

Discover for yourself as you look back at difficult times in your life and the losses you have had. See how these changes have added to your life as you live. Doing so will help you get through future changes and loss in a better state of mind.

LOSS IS A PART OF LIFE.

As we go through life, we are all involved in losses of some kind. So much can be learned about ourselves from an experience of loss, even in going through a very painful grieving process.

Looking forward from where you are now, live your life with the highest degree of the best expectations.

You have to look for what can be gained from even the most painful of events.

I HAVE FOUND THAT MANY HORRIBLE LOSSES CAN BE TRANSFORMED INTO LEARNING AND GROWING EXPERIENCES.

At any age, you can make the change and aim your life anew.
Now, it’s time to get out there and do
something incredible that you can rejoice in!

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
6/19-21—Spending time with Beth has been wonderful.

6/22—Eating food lately has been difficult. My esophagus has been closing down, so it has become difficult to consume food. I went to Dr. Matthew Bachinski in Greenwood, SC.

I was put all the way under using anesthesia. I have been put under a few times in the past this way. I like to try and stay awake as long as I can. I’ve always wanted to see the point where my mind goes from consciousness to unconsciousness. This has kept me awake some nights. Of course, I could never see that point.

After the surgery, Dr. Bachinski told me that my throat was too narrow to even put his scope down. What he did was put an inflatable tube down my throat and inflated it to widen my esophagus.

After awakening, Beth was right there by my side, a wonderful thing. I return next week to have the same procedure done again. I will try harder to fight the anesthesia. You will find out later what occurred.

6/24—Beth and I stayed around our home today, although we did get up to pick up a new bed for her house.

Having trees and wilderness all around her home and no neighbors, this is a paradise for me. We have talked about how we could just stay here away from everything and everybody and live a fantastic life (I would miss you, though.)

But, we will venture out in travels in the future. In August we plan on visiting Beth’s family in Pennsylvania.

5/25—As you see, not much happening this week. As I’ve written before, we are in charge of what is happening in our life and sometimes we have to “make” things happen for ourselves. I will do that in this upcoming week.

I would love to hear from you!

    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>

Not much has happened this week. I officially moved into Beth’s home. So nice to have a house to live in, I have been on the road for the last five years. And, what a fantastic person Beth is, you must meet her sometime.

So, not much traveling this week, we did go to some local parks, though. We plan on traveling together in the future. We are looking for a bigger van that we can stand up in which I will convert. Any ideas?

Beth and I have many of the same ideas in life, I like that. She happened to work at the McCormick Library, as you know I have gone to many libraries in my travels. Beth was retiring from that job the next week, so the timing was perfect. We met there and now I am living in the home of Beth, how wonderful.

I’ve heard that wearing two face-covering keeps you safer.
You can see from the photo that I am wearing just that.

So, a brief blog this week.
Hope you enjoy and it inspires you.

Love each other and help others
to rise to their higher levels, solely
by spreading love. Love is contagious
    and has great healing power.”
    Kit Summers

Through all of my changes, I had the support of many people who helped me to get back to what I am now. As they helped, I saw that the more I helped others, myself, the further ahead I got in my life. I have found that life can go smoother the more you give, even after bad things happen.

    • After getting hit by the truck and laying in the street, both times, I could do nothing to help myself.
    • While lying in a hospital bed not being able to move, I had to depend on the nurses.
    • Surviving in jail on my own, I had to depend on guards and people to help me.

With this knowledge, I saw that I could not live without the support of others. This awareness made me want to help more and more with the lives of friends and even people I did not know.

THE MORE YOU HELP OTHER PEOPLE IN LIFE,
THE BETTER YOU WILL DO IN YOUR LIFE.

Humans, ants, bees, certain bird groups, troops of monkeys and gorillas, packs of dogs, termites, and certain pods of whales and dolphins, are all social species, depending on each other to get through life. We need to work together as a group to help the human race grow and get better.

Each of these species moves about their surroundings with a defensive posture and guards their territory for what they deem as rightfully their group’s own. They defend the members of their own social grouping; they care for their young, old, and sick; working together to get ahead.

Like humans, each of these groups uses babysitters of their own; they have affairs, have deadbeat dads, and even a random runaway bride. Each group mourns for their recently deceased.

When these behaviors are witnessed, they can evoke a feeling that these animals can be even more humane than many humans are., the more you’ll want to do – the higher you’ll want to reach! So, as long as you have the hunger for success, you will always have the power within you to achieve it.

At any age, you can make the change and aim your life anew.
Now, it’s time to get out there and do
something incredible that you can rejoice in!

Comedy Lines for You to Use
    • Ever stop to think what a chair would look like if your knees bent the other way?
    • There are two great jugglers in this country, but that’s okay. There’s plenty of room for both of us.
    • I once ran away with a circus, but they caught up with me and made me give it back.
    • You may notice that while I do this my hands never leave my wrists.
    • Everybody now, not just the kids and the drunks.
    .
    For hecklers:
    • Your wits are too much for me, I never was very good with fractions.
    • On a scale of one to ten–you’re an idiot.
    • The fact that you are able to dress in the morning totally amazes me.
    • It’s a shame that birth control isn’t retroactive.
    • If I wanted your advice, I’d squeeze your head.

Bring Back or Bring on Your Joy in Your Life. Having a sense of humor in life and about life is essential for loving your life. The humor will help relieve stress, it will enhance your relationships and it can even extend your life.
    .
If you already have a sense of humor, make it grow and use it as much as you can. If you don’t, develop a humor-filled mind as soon as possible. Use your good humor to add to the excellent life you have developed.

    BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS>>
For my juggling, for my recovery, for other efforts in my life, I had to stretch to reach a higher level. I don’t believe this ability is something I was born with; this is something that anyone can develop.

Reaching for excellence and not being satisfied with mediocrity is a part of my life. No matter what your life is like, stretch toward the excellence how you can and don’t be satisfied with less.

    IT’S UP TO YOU
Many of us have not learned to tax our full potential; we are operating way below our capacity. You cannot just wait for the good things in life to just fall in your lap. You have to realize that you have a choice! Good or bad, you are responsible for the way your life is.

    MAKING PLANS
To reach toward my juggling excellence I would push myself hard, having fun at the same time. We have to work at stretching our capabilities to the fullest. You must have a strong drive toward accomplishment; you must value achievement and strive toward it.

Stretch your capabilities to the limit. I am sure that everyone has the power to stretch themselves to accomplish and to expand their horizons. Plan for advancement.

    DANCING ON PEANUT BUTTER
Having to plan our life and time carefully was something I think I learned as I planned with the advancement in my juggling. So many people seem so busy, yet they are getting nowhere. They seem to be dancing on peanut butter, they are moving fast; yet not getting anywhere. Sometimes people are taking the least resistant path in life and not taking chances and calculated risks. To let ahead in life, we have to stretch beyond our controlled comfort zone.

    RIDE YOUR BIKE
A good example of stretching toward excellence is bicycling. I used to do a lot of riding. When I go on training rides, I ride steadily and hard for a long distance. Then I pick a point ahead of me half a mile away. I push myself as hard as I can go in reaching this spot.

Usually, I get to my chosen spot and then keep pushing as hard as I can to go further. Then I can look back and see where I really went. Stretch and get away from the mediocrity of life. This shows me that we are usually better than we think we are. Prepare for quality.

    BE READY

At any age, you can make the change and aim your life anew.
Now, it’s time to get out there and do
something incredible that you can rejoice in!

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

May 4-June 1—Spending time with Beth, we are having fun together. Where she lives in a kind of like the wilderness; I do like it.

June 2—With six cats and a dog, Beth has a large menagerie. We had a visitor also, Beth feeds her cats on the front porch. A raccoon likes to come and eat the cat food. While we were sitting on the porch, this raccoon decided to come up and get a bit (of cat food, not me.)
We scared the curious varmint away and hopefully, she won’t be back. Hmm, I don’t know if I am allergic to Raccoons.
May be an image of outdoors
If you know me, you know about my many allergies. Two of those allergies are to cats and dogs. So, I have tried to limit my time in the house. Sleeping nights in my van, where I can breathe.
Later, after it got dark, the raccoon returned to eat any leftover cat food. He even drank water from the water dish. This raccoon was cool. While walking around he got within one foot of me. I have never been that close to a raccoon.
YES, a bee in Kit’s finger.
But, I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

    INTRO TO THIS WEEK >>

Thank you, Jai Smith, for your help in getting me to contact my website host to get help with getting my website running correctly. So, now I can post once again to

The web host I use is excellent. They only charge twenty bucks a year and provide so much. If you want to get a host for a website space, namecheap is excellent.

This week I spent much time around Dahlonega in Georgia. This town is first-class, hills all around, very green and growing, quite nice.

As you remember, I met Beth at the library in McCormick, South Carolina. She just retired after being a librarian for a number of years. I’ve returned to see Beth.

A delightful woman, we are about the same age. I am sleeping in the van as we do stuff during the day. And, I am helping with repairs and improvements to her home, something I love to do and she seems to like what I am doing, much. What a great new friend Beth is.

As I hope I am inspiring you through these blogs, and, remember, your story can inspire others, too! Never feel bad about talking about yourself, yes, you are that important. If we can all help others, this would be a better world.

    At any age, you ca
n (and should) make changes to make your life better.

The best part is, the more you accomplish, the more you’ll want to do – the higher you’ll want to reach! So, as long as you have the hunger for success, you will always have the power within you to achieve it.

    Self-talk is so important—THINK RIGHT!
Motivational words, yes, they’re just words.
But they’re positive words; they will keep you on track.

I hope the words I pick do help you.

    BE INSPIRED BY THESE WORDS>>

From my book series, Beyond Your Potential

A lot of highly successful people have a continual thirst for knowledge and are always asking questions such as those above. These successful people first think and ask the questions that will provide answers to advance. These people know that it is the people who ask the better questions who get a better life.

Remember, it is often the people who ask the most and the best questions that succeed.

When you start to answer these questions you will produce great energy within your life. Zealous people usually have a lot of energy to pursue what they do.

Passionate people are doing what they love and loving what they do.

We’ve all known people who do not resonate with this passion. A lackluster life at best is how they live. They do just enough to get by and meander through the time they have on earth. This book will teach you how to find this love, apply it to your own life, and achieve the excellence that you desire.

Often, people who find the desire are highly successful and they love their journey toward the end result. Along the way, even though they have not yet arrived at their goal, they constantly fuel themselves with this driving passion.

More importantly, they often bring others up with them.

We have to work together in the world and find success for all of us. Yes, we can all be at the topit will work. Help others to move up and you shift forward and up.

Generating this passion from the bottom of your mind and the bottom of your heart will keep you driving forward. When you develop this love, it will help to build your life, I guarantee it. You can go from average to more than you would ever think.

At any age, you can make the change and aim your life anew.
Now, it’s time to get out there and do
something incredible that you can rejoice in!

    MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>

5/22—What a fabulous day. But, still deciding what to do, where to go. I am thinking north.

I found a library in Dahlonega that is very large. Strange though, I could not find the name of the library on the front on the building. Anyway, I am in front looking at a huge parking lot, I see some big trees on the other side, I will be sleeping there.

I am able to get on their wifi, and there is an electrical outlet to plug in. There is a very big lawn to work on juggling. The library is closed for the weekend – no people around anywhere. So, all mine for two days! With no one around, I am in paradise (wish you were here, though.)

At the last food bank, I got a whole rotisserie chicken, fully cooked and very tasty. I had chicken on my salad. So, I am eating well. As you know, I keep about a full week of food with me at all times, so I will be a-OK. And, the glass of wine is nice, too.

    YES, KIT’S A HAPPY BOY.

5/24—Hanging around in Dahlonega for a couple of days. This town is a fabulous place. Quite mountainous around here, I like that. It is easy to find places to park and spend the night in the van.

Today I spent time at Yahoola Creek Park. I even found some videos on the park, a fabulous place. Take a look >>
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF_z4bMd1PM

It thought it time to get clean, so I brought a washcloth with soap on it to the stream and cleaned it thoroughly. Felt so good afterward; I said YAHOO! (Yahoola Creek Park, you know.)

5/25—Went to lunch today with Gary DuTeau, you remember, who I camped with in the past. This town of Dahlonega, where Gary lives, is a delight. I am so glad I came here and spent time with Gary.

This man is so full of knowledge and stories, of the area, of politics, and so many subjects. We spent a couple hours just talking (and eating great food, thanks for lunch, Gary.) I suggested he write a book to educate, he seemed to like the idea.

5/26-27—Spent time with Beth on her yard, trimming bushes and trees and fixing things up better.

Right across from Beth live some horses.
    These are huge animals.
They did like the apples I feed them.

But, I’m lonely out here, I would love to hear from you.

MY CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK >>

We all get set in certain ways, which can always be arranged better. I’ve known people who move into a house, set their furniture, and then never change it.

This week, rearrange your furniture in your home in a different/better way. There are always ways to improve your house. Once you do rearrange, it will be like you are in a new home.

Do this especially with your bedroom, you spend sooooo much time in there. Make it better/different, you will sleep better.

Let me know how this helps or doesn’t.
