TOPIC FOR THIS WEEK — You CAN be Your Doctor?
I’ve seen many different doctors over the years. Sometimes, they have helped, but there have also been visits that were simply a waste of time. Most doctors have attended school, and many are good thinkers, but some are made out to be like saviors; they are not.
YOUR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS ARE
THE MOST ESSENTIAL THINGS IN YOUR LIFE!
You must find ways to get better and better. Don’t put all your time and effort into finding doctors; educate and decide your own future. The computer is such a great tool; use this resource for a better life. Decide what is best for you—NOW.
Reason, observation, human understanding, and courage make good physicians. They often wear the white coat with pride and indignity, in that serving the public as a physician is an honor and privilege. Always remember the privilege of being a physician.
Did you know most doctors don’t often treat themselves or their family members? However, it may be acceptable in limited circumstances, emergencies, or isolated settings where no other qualified physician is available. For yourself, work along with your doctor!
A DOCTOR IS NOT THERE TO “CURE” YOU.
THEY ARE THERE TO “HELP” YOU.
Yes, many doctors are quacks (and not the duck type.) Quack, in the sense of a medical impostor, is a shortening of the old Dutch word quacksalver (spelled kwakzalver in modern Dutch.) This originally meant a person who cures with home remedies and then came to mean one using false cures or knowledge.
At times, you must study for yourself and make yourself better. With the internet, this is getting easier and easier. Search the web about your symptoms and learn for yourself what can make you better. You must also study and learn about your ailment along with your doctor.
In most countries, becoming a doctor requires attending medical school. Medical education is a rigorous and highly controlled process that typically takes at least five to eight years to complete. But don’t just trust doctors and take their word for it; diagnose yourself, too. It is your body and your mind, after all. Do the right thing to live a better life, whatever that might be.
Many people think doctors are brilliant, but not their intelligence got them where they are; instead, it is their drive and discipline. For most great doctors, care and wanting the best for others are essential. You must work “with” your doctor to heal yourself.
Think about it: anyone can become a doctor; you just need determination and drive. If someone is truly disciplined and puts all their efforts into studying to become a doctor, it will happen! Just know you don’t have to become a medical doctor to treat yourself.
Figure out what you need to do to get better, THEN DO IT! If you want to become a doctor, always keep the idea of helping people in mind. Apply yourself and reach excellence! It’s captivating. We can accomplish anything we put our minds to, and it has no say in our level of intelligence. Yes, you CAN be a doctor.
I’m not saying just to rely on yourself; doctors are here to help. Without medical intervention, I could never have come back from my accident and 37-day coma. Or the second time I was hit by a truck, and much of my body was broken.
Yet, there are good doctors and bad ones. I had to go through seven strabismus operations to get my double vision cured. Finally, I went to a specialist in NYC, and she got it right; I am forever grateful. You have to learn and study for yourself whatever ailment you might have and take action!
WHAT NEW STORIES ARE YOU READY TO WRITE?

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.
THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.
BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—Your Thinking—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!
“YOU”
How you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determines everything in your life, and it all derives from your quality of thinking. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.
SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.
BE POSITIVE!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like beams of sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.
PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation often when we need it most.
I HOPE THE FOLLOWING WORDS ADD TO YOUR LIFE >>

there is also a love for humanity.” –– Hippocrates

Everything else is secondary.” –– Steve Jobs

One day,
you will be someone’s hero.” –– Unknown

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day?
Do you remember what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Sunday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day.
5/4–I start a new life every week by writing this blog. I look ahead to the next seven days, and I plan things to report back to you. You could start a blog and bring on the same drive.
It Rained all day today, which is great for the gardens.
The rain will also refill all our rain savers.
Beth has been ill but does not want to see a doctor about her feelings or symtoms. Perhaps you feel like she does when she does not want her body to be invaded by a doctor about her condition. That’s understandable; I know a doctor is there when necessary.
5/5-6–Sitting on the rain-soaked ground, pulling dandelions out. That marks my day. I put up a new medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Every place that sells a product must get the words they use written better in the instructions.
It ended up that the old cabinet was not aligned with the sink. And it was challenging to knock off the wall. Beth suggested I screw the new cabinet directly onto the old one. After I did that, I saw that when old cabinet was not aligned.
5/7-8–The puppies have all found homes, and we are happy. These guys were great, though. They couldn’t get enough of playing with toys, with each other, and with us.
Beth gave away four more of her rabbits, bringing us down to a responsible number of four bunnies. Beth finds something to cling onto, like rabbits or puppies–and when she does—she puts everything into it. She had many succulent plants, for example. Eventually, she fades away, liking whatever it is, and we continue.
5/9–Awakening to a thunderstorm and knowing this rain is good for the plants, a smile came upon my face. Rain most of the week is great for growing produce. Words intrigue me; how did growing vegetables get the name “produce?)
I performed for the people at the local senior center (yikes! I am one of them). Every day, they have lunch available, and I performed right before feeding time. I talked about driving toward the future, regardless of your age. Keep making plans as you get older.
Also, because of today’s topic, I talked a lot about working with your doctor to get better, to learn and study any symptoms you may have, and to help heal yourself. Don’t depend too much on the medical field; you must participate in your health.
Later, another puppy went to a new home. Now, just one pup is left, and it looks like they will have a new home tomorrow. It is fascinating to see the pups grow from when they were first born to what they are now—and they will keep growing.
5/10–In the garden today. Things are looking great. With the tomatoes, I’ve found out that it is best to cut (I use my thumbnail) the bottom branches. They say that leaves on dirt will be bad for plants.
Beth made more chocolate chip cookies. I can’t resist–death by chocolate chip cookies?
We will have that one last puppy until tomorrow, then be free again. Jemma doesn’t like this little mutt; she growls at times.
THIS IS YOUR LIFE — MAKE YOUR LEGACY HAPPEN!
DO SOMETHING NEW–DAILY,
THEN, KEEP DOING IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK
The vegetable plants grow each week. You can see more photos every Friday. The tomatoes should get very large; we await. We’re still not sure how Jerusalem Artichokes will be. I’ve read that they taste like artichokes, hence the name. You eat the tuber, like the root. You will learn later, then you can grow some next summer.
Also, the Amaranth we are growing.
I have never consumed this plant.
I will let you know.
It’s a beautiful plant.
Do you eat the seeds?
Do you know?
There has been plenty of rain this week, so adding more water is unnecessary. I have a rainwater collector that I use to water the garden when it needs it. I also have three rainwater collectors I could use. These are always full; we get enough rain.
Do you have a rainwater collector yet?
It may be necessary for your future.
The price has gone way down.
Take a look >>

Go from your rainwater gutters and direct the downspout pipes to feed into your rainwater collector. Have a screen on your container to filter out leaves and debris. I built a stand and put my collectors five feet up so that gravity could release water from a hose.
I have two 100-gallon collectors, one 50-gallon rainwater collector, and a tote that holds 375 gallons. Eventually, I want to get another 375-gallon tote to hold water. We plan on filtering the rainwater to drink it. Are you thirsty?
A self-supportive life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
You must look into it.

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK
If you have to see a doctor for something this week, diagnose yourself and figure out what it would take to get better. Still, go and see your doctor, but educate yourself first; if you don’t have to see a doctor, figure out how to better yourself.
ALL OUR LIFE, WE MUST CHALLENGE OURSELVES!

I will be joining Gary DuTeau at Stevens Creek.
There should be about 25 people showing up.
Many are professional cooks; we will eat well.
AND WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING FOR YOUR UPCOMING WEEK?
