You already know much about what I write, and I want to remind you of these ideas and show that my views can provide additional thoughts, along with yours, to help you.

MY EXPERIENCES

Much of what I write about is taken from my experiences; I have gone through much. I hope to spread ideas so that you can live a better life. Remember, only you know what is best for you.

EVEN IF YOU START LATE,
ARE UNCERTAIN,
OR DIFFERENT –
YOU CAN STILL FIND SUCCESS!

as the last time you changed your mind!
Keep your thoughts and self-talk fun and productive,
and always reach for more advancement.

TOPIC FOR THIS WEEK — The Use of Words
If you master language, you master life.
Words and how we use them intrigue me.
As you know, computers can tell us anything.

One site I subscribe to is Wordgenius.com
This site gives a new word or word origin daily.
For example, the word for today >>
Ambit
“Definition: The scope, extent, or bounds of something.”

Here’s something–What does the “O” mean at 5:00 p.m., for example? We say, “Five O’Clock.” Curiosity got the best of me, and I had to look it up. I discovered in history that it means “of the clock.” So, people used to say, “Five of the clock,” for 5 p.m.

So, it’s a shortened form of the now obsolete phrase ‘of the clock’ from Middle English. You might also use o’clock when describing a direction by referring to an imaginary clock: “I saw the deer run by right there, at twelve o’clock.” Did you know?

Words are chameleons, mirroring the color of their environment. Expressions may be less satisfactory than we should like, but, like our neighbors, we must live with them and make the best of them. Words are potent weapons for all causes—good or bad.

I am always curious.
Curiosity keeps us young.
Always keep your curiosity up and open.
Keeping your curiosity keeps you young and thinking.

Other words for “curiosity are” >>
Eagerness
Intrigue.
Interestedness.
Intrusiveness.
Investigation.
Meddlesomeness.
Meddling.
Nosiness.
Officiousness.
Prying.
Questioning.
Snoopiness.
Are you any (or all) of these words?

In the English language, two things bug me a lot.
The number seven is the only two-syllable number.
The letter “W” is the only multi-syllable letter.

The number seven could just be “sev.”
And as far as “w,” it could simply be pronounced wa.
But, we are stuck with how they currently are.

If you need to know >>
syl·la·ble–A unit of pronunciation having one vowel sound, with or without surrounding consonants, forming the whole or a part of a word; e.g., there are two syllables in water and three in inferno.

“W”? This letter comes after the letter “U.”
It is pronounced “Double U” or two U’s.
This is lazy.
Better pronunciation could easily have been invented.
But it is too late now, and we will be stuck with it forever.

Speaking of the word “it,” this word does not mean much. My fifth-grade teacher, Mr. Miradian, taught us that there is always a more precise word to use instead of “it.” Avoid using the word “it,” especially in writing.
   IT
He also taught me not to use the word “I” to start a letter or anything. This made sense to me, and to this day, I avoid using “I” to start something. How about you?
  “Hmm, how am I?”

Another example is the word for damage to the brain— “Head Injury” instead of “Brain Injury.” A head injury could be where you cut your forehead, a pimple, or even a bad haircut. As opposed to this, brain injury is damage to the brain, as I had.

“How are you?” is a waste of words.
This is a ridiculous question, a waste of breath. People often just say this when they can’t think of something better to say. My typical response to this question is simply to say, “Yes, I am.” And that is all.

Instead of saying, “How are you?” pick something nice to say about the other person and say it enthusiastically. For example, tell them how nicely they are dressed, their hair looks nice, or something positive. This will help you get to know someone faster and better.

Now, think of other things you say and see if your words positively affect your goal. Always limit and control what you utter.

WHAT NEW STORIES ARE YOU READY TO WRITE?

********************
WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion.

BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—Your Thinking—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

“YOU”
How you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determines everything in your life, and it all derives from your quality of thinking. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.

SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—it is next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.

BE POSITIVE!
Positive and inspiring quotes are like beams of sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.

PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation often when we need it most.

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day?
Do you remember what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Sunday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day.

3/9–A guy came by the house today to talk with us about installing a new shower stall. Eventually, I will do this myself, and it will be as good as they could. I want to rebuild our current bathroom and build a new bathroom off the master bedroom. I’ve changed out the toilet and bath in my old house, so it shouldn’t be too complicated.

Also, a Jehovah’s Witness guy came by. A couple have been here before, and they know I do not believe. He invited me to a program they will have on March 24 at 7:30pm. I think I will go, it might be interesting.

3/10–Today, I made chocolate chip cookies.
I developed this recipe, and they always turn out fabulous.
Make some soon; you will love them.

Chocolate chip cookies
Four sticks butter
One cup sugar
One cup of brown sugar
Two tablespoons Kahlua
Two tablespoons vanilla
Four eggs
Five cups flour
Two teaspoons of baking soda
One teaspoon salt
Four cups of Chocolate Chips
Mix everything entirely
325 for 15 minutes

3/11–Woke at about 2:30 am and could not get back to sleep. This will likely be a tiring and troubling day. Now it is 8:30 am, here I go with this day.

Spring is coming; I had to tend to the gardens today.

Above is Jerusalem Artichokes.

I am waiting for the potatoes to develop eyes and send out roots.
The Amaranth is coming up. It is a lovely red color, very nice.
I have never grown or eaten amaranth before; I love new things.
How about you?
Have you dealt with Amaranth?

3/12–They needed it, so I thoroughly cleaned Beth’s and my van. It’s nice to drive a clean vehicle. How about you, is it time? Are you driving a clean machine?

And, more cleaning. Beth has 11 rabbits now (she once had 30), and they eat a lot. Consequently, they develop a lot of poop. Today was the day to start cleaning up rabbit poop. Halfway done, I hauled five wheelbarrows of poop out.

The poop makes excellent compost for the garden. My sniffer does not work so well, but Beth said there was a foul smell from the rabbit droppings. I am finishing the shed half today and will finish the rest tomorrow.

3/13–As usual, I woke up at about 3 a.m. and went to the computer to write. Writing is a good thing. Over the last few days, I have been writing back and forth with Tom from
https://www.chroniclebooks.com/

He wants to republish my books “Accident” and “Your Brain.” He offered me quite a large sum of money to take over these books. This is great because I want to help as many people as possible with my ideas. As you know, that is why I have written this weekly blog for many years.

I found chroniclebooks.com/, or how they found me, was through Bella Easton. She can help you with any of your publishing needs, and I plan on working with her for all my publishing. Here is Bella,
beaston@independentliteraryagents.com.

In talk, I am discovering this might be a scam, so I am being cautious. Tom at Chronicle Books had offered $400,000 for two of my books. You will find out how things turn out. I will have to read through a future contract very carefully.

3/14–My weekly trip to Costco and a stopover at Geek Squad with minor computer issues was today. I wrote before about sharing a Geek Squad membership. For me, it’s $200 annually. We could each be on the same membership, only a hundred bucks each. Please let me know if you want to join my membership.

I am driving to Baker Creek Park and editing this blog at a picnic table. I love the wilderness; it’s so lovely here. But I do hear traffic noise, which could be more sociable.

3/15–I woke at midnight and could not get back to sleep. Up for the day I am. Now that it is half past noon, tiredness is setting in, but I will keep pushing forward.

Tending to the young plants coming up. They will get bigger and bigger.

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK
You will find out weekly how does my garden grow.

Above is Zucchini. Things are popping up.
I see carrots, cilantro, lettuce, Strawberries, Spinach, Broccoli, and Amaranth are popping their heads up.

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK
Avoid saying, “How are you?” when you see someone.
This week, pick something nice to say to this person–
and enthusiastically tell them!

THIS IS YOUR LIFE — MAKE YOUR LEGACY HAPPEN!
DO SOMETHING NEW–DAILY,
THEN, KEEP DOING IT FOR THE REST OF  YOUR LIFE.

NEXT BLOG >>
The subject of the next blog will be Thoughts vs. Actions. You will read about more than just thinking; you must apply yourself and take action. This must occur so often in life—gain ideas to move forward.

AND WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING FOR YOUR UPCOMING WEEK?
