WHAT NEW STORIES ARE YOU READY TO WRITE?
============================
OPENING WORDS
I get 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night. I wish I could get more. When I am asleep, I can’t think about the life I am currently living. Perhaps I want to return and extend my 37-day coma?
In my last blog, I wrote about many of my problems and how they hurt me. I expected to hear from someone, especially you, but I heard from no one, which makes me sad. Do you actually read my blog posts–anyone, anyone?
Last night, Sun-Mon, I awoke at midnight. I have been awake since then and will not nap between now and sleepy time. At this point, I am just used to my sleep cycle.
It’s nice that you continue to read my blog, Beth. I had promised Beth I would not write any more about her. But that is okay; at this point, she scares me. So, no more about Beth. Thinking about Beth now brings me to tears. I still love the woman, and I would love to be back with her (I think). Her silence is deafening.
You sneeze, you hiccup, you cough, you blink, you breathe, you fart, you scratch an itch, you digest, your heart beats, your hair grows. These are just a few things your body does constantly without thinking. You will read more about this below.
===================
BLOG 316–What About You?
Here are some inspirational words about your body–focusing on resilience, strength, and gratitude. Your body is a testament to your journey in life, a masterpiece of resilience, and a source of endless hope and possibility. Embrace your body’s strength, honor its wisdom, and cherish its beauty.”
People perform many actions without thought, including bodily functions like breathing and blinking, habits like brushing teeth or driving to work, and reactions to stimuli like pulling your hand away from a hot stove. Did you ever burp and fart at the same time?
If your mind says,
“I am important, I am big, I am special,”
You will be disappointed when you look.
See what we’ve discovered about the universe.
No, you are not big.
No, you are not small.
All you have is your human body, which is limited on this Earth.
The human body is not the person. Identity is how the brain operates: memories, sensory input, and output. The mind is you—you aren’t your work, accomplishments, possessions, home, family, or anything else. You are a creation of your parents—a physical human body intended to experience and enjoy life on Earth.
Your human body has two ends: one to create with and one to sit on. Sometimes, people get their ends reversed. When this happens, they need a kick in the pants. Science has revealed that the human body contains millions and millions of atoms. That’s what you are made of.
Here’s a breakdown of some things people do without thinking >>
Breathing: The autonomic nervous system controls breathing.
A vital function we don’t consciously consider.
Blinking: Our eyes blink automatically to keep them moist and clear.
Digestion: Breaking down food happens automatically,
without conscious effort.
Heartbeat: Our heart beats continuously,
a vital function we don’t consciously control.
Circulate blood:
The body circulates blood to deliver oxygen and nutrients.
Sloughing off skin cells: is
The body constantly sheds dead skin cells.
Oxidizing carbohydrates inside the body:
The body processes carbohydrates for energy.
Sending white blood cells to the site of an invading bacteria:
The body’s immune system responds automatically.
Your human body is a beautiful,
complicated collection of nerves,
blood vessels, organs, muscles,
and bones working together in
intricate processes.
Yes, I am talking about you!
Though science has been able to explain many things about how our bodies work, specific anatomical quirks, including standard bodily functions, continue to astound us today.
WHAT ARE GOOSEBUMPS?
No, they have no relation to geese. The phenomenon of “goosebumps” is called that because the raised bumps on the skin, caused by hair follicles standing up, resemble the skin of a plucked goose. Its name comes from its skin’s resemblance to that plucked bird.
It is believed that this is an inherited trait from our prehistoric ancestors. They had thicker coats of body hair, which created insulation and kept their body warm when stimulated. While our layer of body hair is too thin to make a difference, the muscle contraction and increased electrical activity help stimulate the body, which is why goosebumps caused by the cold go away when you warm up.
WHY DO WE FART?
We fart (or experience flatulence) because our bodies naturally produce gas during digestion, which must be expelled, either through burping or farting. This gas is a byproduct of swallowing air, bacterial action on undigested food, and the typical food breakdown process (for the average person–we fart 14-25 times a day!)
Here are a more detailed explanations:
Swallowed Air: When we eat and drink, we often swallow some air, which can accumulate in the digestive tract.
Gas Production During Digestion: Bacteria in the large intestine breaks down undigested carbohydrates, releasing gases like hydrogen, methane, and carbon dioxide.
WHY WISDOM TEETH?
It doesn’t take wisdom to know this one. Wisdom teeth are just like any other molar in your mouth. For the first few years of a human’s life, we eat only soft foods and do not need molars to crush and grind. Around the age of six, the first set of molars come in. When a person reaches 12, another set appears. The wisdom teeth are the final molars between ages 18 and 21.
Early humans were hunter-gatherers who survived on leaves, roots, meat, and nuts — things that required a lot of crushing ability. The more grinding teeth you have, the easier it is to eat tough foods. As humans evolved, they began to cook their food, making it softer and easier to chew. Having three complete sets of molars became unnecessary.
WHY DO WE SNEEZE?
Sneezing removes irritants like dirt, dust, and pollen from your nose or throat. It’s your body’s way of getting rid of things that can make you sick or cause inflammation. While sneezing can be inconvenient, it’s rarely a sign of a serious health condition.
The primary purpose of a sneeze is straightforward — sneezes help to remove irritants from the nasal passage. These irritants include dust, dirt, pollen, smoke, or anything else that could get stuck there. Blowing it all out is the best way your body can clear it.
Sometimes, sneezes come in pairs or more. Some people — maybe even you — have a specific number of sneezes that they produce each time. If someone sneezes three times, their sneeze might not be as powerful as a single sneezer’s, requiring three attempts to eliminate the irritant.
Sneezing also plays a leading role in fighting the spread of bacteria when we’re sick. The body’s natural reaction to infection is to produce mucus to trap the bacteria. Once trapped, it’s time to get rid of it. Sneezing is the most efficient way to expel phlegm from the body. It’s also the most efficient way to spread bacteria, so remember to cover your mouth and nose.
Even when there aren’t irritants or bacteria, your nose produces mucus to catch potential irritants before they can get to your lungs. Sometimes, the nasal passage gets too full through normal production and needs to reset. Whenever you get a random sneeze that seems out of nowhere, it’s most likely just to reset your nasal passage.
WHY DO WE BLINK?
The average person blinks about 12 times per minute, 10,000 times daily, and 4.2 million times yearly. The most obvious reason that Weblink is to lubricate our eyes. Lubricating tears are constantly being produced in your body and are made up of three layers
1) The mucous layer so that it adheres to your eye.
2) The aqueous layer, which is a thick layer that hydrates and keeps bacteria away.
3) The oily layer prevents the other two layers, which are predominantly water, from evaporating.
Also, blinking helps clear dust and particles that are continuously getting into your eyes. When your eyes water, the extra fluid helps cleanse and soak up the debris, while the blinking is like a windshield wiper pushing it away.
Blinking also works as a reflex in response to external stimuli. Your eyes can close in 0.1 seconds after a stimulus is detected. Sometimes, the stimulus is the bright bathroom light at 3 a.m. Sometimes, it’s a fistful of sand. The corneal reflex prevents as much debris as possible from entering and damaging your eye.
WHY DO WE YAWN?
It was long believed that yawning was a respiratory function. When your body runs low on oxygen, a yawn is triggered to force a deep inhale and exhale. This increases oxygen levels in the bloodstream, and the yawn raises your heartbeat to pump the oxygen-rich blood.
While this theory is still possible, or is, perhaps, one aspect of yawning, it’s not the whole story. Instead of oxygen deprivation, researchers now believe that the primary function of yawning is regulating temperature. Your brain is the most energy-hungry organ in your body. It uses about 40% of your total metabolic energy. All that energy means that your brain tends to run hot and needs some way to cool down. Your brain uses yawning like your computer uses fans.
During a yawn, cold air is brought in through the mouth. The muscles in your jaw and around your skull contract and stretch, increasing blood circulation. The air cools the blood, and the increase in heart rate pumps the cooler blood to your brain. A calmer brain is a more alert brain.
Your body knows how to be efficient. If the surrounding air is cooler, yawning will be more effective. Studies have shown that people yawn more frequently in cooler temperatures. People yawned 21% more often when the outside air was 70 degrees Fahrenheit versus 98 degrees (body temperature). Similar results were also found with other species of animals.
There are dozens of other triggers associated with yawning, however. Apparent culprits like boredom and drowsiness mean your brain needs to be stimulated. Still, yawning can also be triggered by other events like anxiety, hunger, or even a change of activity. Any time your brain needs extra focus, it might trigger a yawn for a refreshing cool down.
Get used to it; you cannot suppress these human traits.

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.
READ
Reading through the quotes below about life can do the trick if you’re looking for a pick-me-up or a healthy dose of motivation. Whether centered around positive affirmations, self-care, or success, life quotes can be powerful inspirational tools.
THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.
BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed, amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real time. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!
“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.
SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.
QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.
QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.
PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation when we need it most.
WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things—helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.
THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.
READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly.
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!
Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
You can keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day- each moment!
3/22–Staying at the hotel is like being in a jail cell.
I once had to stay in jail for one month on a flash charge.
3/23–It’s Sunday at about noon. I just went outside for a walk, stood, looked around, and started crying, telling myself, “I hate my life.” I don’t know what will improve things, but I have sunk so low. All morning, I mindlessly watch videos on YouTube; oh boy.
This afternoon, I watched a very dramatic video called “Convict.”
This film reminded me of 2012 when I had to spend a month in jail on a false charge.
I was scared the entire time I was there.
I wrote the following words while in jail >>
First, driven to the Trainer police station, quite surprised at the officers’ words, “We won’t have to put the handcuffs on you yet.” I’ve never tried on those bracelets before; I could not imagine. In the police station, he did some paperwork and then, to my amazement, fingerprinted me and did mug shots–like a common criminal. Yes, things were building and getting worse.
Next, he drove me about 3 miles away to a local court to see a judge. By this time, my mind was reeling with all these events, sent into a sad abyss. Again, mug shots were taken, and more fingerprints were taken. My mind and heart were looking down an unfortunate path. The judge read the charges:
1) Terroristic threats with the intent to terrorize another.
2) Harassment–subjecting others to physical conduct.
3) Disorderly Conduct Hazardous physical offense.
Shocked at these charges, I could do nothing; I was not allowed to say a thing. The judge announced that I was to go to jail for a psychological examination. Handcuffs were placed on my wrists and put into a van they used to transport criminals. I was whisked off to jail (no passing go, no collecting $200).
At this point, I’ve never had trouble with the law (except for a couple of traffic tickets), been in handcuffs, and never been in jail. My entire life had changed. Down I slipped into that sad abyss.
Because I was not allowed to make any phone calls or talk to anyone for the next five days, no one knew I was taken to jail or where I was.
Who will find my four rabbits?
Who will get my mail?
What about the food in the fridge going rancid?
Who will turn off my computer that was left on?
At this point, you have to remember that all of this was done with NO EVIDENCE, NO WITNESSES, NO PROOF, and NO WORD FROM ME. All thrust upon me, and I could not say a word in my defense. I was never read my rights and could not talk to a lawyer. Ripped away from my life and thrown in jail. Just think, it could have been you; they could have done this to anyone.
So, here I am, “Hi, jail.” I had to give them everything I had with me (I hope my debit cards are right.) They even took my glasses. In my wallet, I had $555. If you have it, they automatically take $140 for the jail (theft?) They gave me blues every prisoner wears, including blue flats for your feet. A beautiful specimen was I.
After I got the “blues” on, I looked sad and said goodbye to my other stuff. Off to, yes, a third set of mugshots and fingerprints (boy, I must have been a nasty boy.)
Let me know if you want to read further about my stay in jail. I will send you more words.
3/24–I have been working on this blog since early today.
I hope it inspires you with good ideas.
3/25–When I moved out of my house and into my van in 2012, I had to get rid of many things I owned. After I recently crashed my van, I got what I could out of it but had to leave much. I went from having much to very little. That is alright; I can always find new or used things to replace or add to what I have.
Today, I met with Dr. Chakara, who examined me about my brain injury. My daughter April once had him as her teacher. I’ve not seen his results, so I cannot comment. Dr. Chakara and I talked for an hour, and then someone else tested my memory (which is not very good) through number, letter, and word memory.
His results will go to Greg at Selective Insurance; they will decide my future. This makes me excited, curious, and scared about my future.
3/26–I stayed in my room all day, watching YouTube videos and doing computer work.
I want to discover my next talent, and then you can’t hold me back—I will strive for excellence.
Also, I worked on my blog. When I write, I want to have a reason for every work. I look closely at what I write, all for your benefit.
3/27–Jasmine drove me for a return visit with Dr. Chhakara, who had to redo some of the testing. I am curious on what his results will show, I don’t feel I am that bad off.
3/28–Once again, most of the was spent in my apartment on the computer.
This is my life now; I know it will change in the future.
My daughters, April and Jasmine, have added much to my life. Thank you so much, my daughters.
THEN, KEEP DOING NEW (DAILY) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.
Winter is here now.
But there are still things you can grow.
And remember about indoor gardening.
A self-supporting life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
You must look into it.
Because I am back on the road.
There will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.
When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.
START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!
