WHY I WRITE THIS BLOG
You will have many in your life who assist and teach; I hope I help guide you. I want to lighten your path toward excellence. In other words, I hope to continually add to your life and bring you to a higher level. Your life should always be starting again- a better life each time!

I WANT TO INSPIRE YOU WITH MY WORDS –WORDS HAVE POWER!
They can fill you with optimism and empower you to think positively.
Are you accomplishing what you want before your eventual demise?
You can (and should) make changes to improve your life — at every age. Let this thought motivate and drive you towards self-improvement.
Of course, that leads to helping others to have a better life.
We all need to help each other reach a higher level.

MY EXPERIENCES
You already know much about what I write, and I want to remind you of these ideas and show that my views can give you more thoughts, along with yours, to help you.

I hope to spread ideas from my life so you can live better.

OPENING WORDS

Thank you, Jasmine and Noah Cowan, for your help in writing this blog.

This week, the blog had already been written about fun and play.
This has changed, as I have been dealing with scammers in Uganda.
I want to help you in dealing with these nasty humans.
Trying to protect you.
    ==============
Here is an email I sent out today >>
Dear Friends,
My email account was recently compromised. The hacker copied my contact list and is now sending fraudulent emails from fake addresses, adding one letter to my email address, impersonating me, and making requests on my behalf. They are now also impersonating others.

Please block any emails from the following addresses, which are “spoof” accounts that have one letter added to the actual contact emails:

Jugglers:

Kit’s Family:

  • springsummersjasmine@gmail.com
  • springsummersapril@gmail.com

If you receive an email that looks like it’s from me but is coming from an unfamiliar address, or is written in a style that does not sound like me, please do not respond, do not click any links, and do not share personal information. I recommend blocking the sender, reporting as phishing, and marking the email as spam.

I sincerely apologize for any confusion or stress that this may have caused.
With help from my daughter, Jasmine, I have now secured my accounts.
You can always reach me at kitsummers@gmail.com
        ===================
BLOG 313SCAMMERS AND BAD PEOPLE, WATCH OUT!

If you suspect you’re dealing with a scammer, immediately stop communicating with them, do not provide any personal or financial information, and report the scam to the appropriate authorities, such as your local police or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Also, contact your bank or credit card company to secure your accounts if you’ve already provided information.

Thank you, Jasmine, for helping me deal with and get over this trouble I’ve been having.
I did not lose any money to these scammers, but sadly, some of my friends did.
If you did lose money, contact your bank; they can help.
The GoFundme set up has now been transferred to my sole ownership, just me.

If you were so generous as to donate, it would help me after my recent accident as I transition to life in Pennsylvania. If you sent money via PayPal or Zelle in response to a scam email, please report as fraud to your bank and work to get it returned to your account.

If you suspect fraud, a phone call to the sender can help, but do not call the number provided by an email. Always search for the business and find a published phone number. Verify the company’s existence using the Better Business Bureau or LinkedIn.

Another way to verify someone’s identity is to video conference with them.
Seeing them live makes it much easier to believe them.

If you suspect a scam, do not provide personal information such as:
Your name, address, phone number, or bank account details.
As the saying goes, “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”

Don’t blame yourself for being victimized. Fraudsters are pretty good at what they do and often target educated and successful people. However, you may want to consider the events or actions leading to the fraud.

Routine activities can frequently lead people to become targets, and returning to those activities could repeat the process. These routine activities could include being active in investor social media groups or chat rooms, commenting on videos, signing up for trading courses, special offers, free giveaways, or investor newsletters.

While the exact numbers are unknown because fraud is commonly underreported, victims tend to be victimized more than once. Recovery frauds, mentioned above, commonly start from victim lists sold on the dark web. Your details and vulnerabilities may be sold to other scammers.

One of the best ways to build your resistance to fraud is to stay informed.
Here are some do’s and don’ts to help you avoid fraud again.
If you think you are dealing with scammers, ask many questions. >>
The quick call:
If someone contacts you with a seemingly urgent offer or request, ask clarifying questions to verify their legitimacy, such as the company name, contact details, and specific details of the offer.

Be cautious of pressure tactics:
Scammers often try to create a sense of urgency to pressure you into making quick decisions.
If someone pressures you to act immediately, it’s likely a scam.

Verify information independently:
Please don’t rely solely on the information the scammer gave.
You can check the company or organization’s legitimacy online through reputable sources.

Hang up or block contact:
If you think you’re being scammed, you can immediately end the conversation by hanging up and blocking this phone number and email address.

Report the scam:
After ending contact, report the scam to the appropriate authorities, including your local police, the FTC, and your bank or credit card company if relevant. These scammers have been reported to Google and GoFundMe.

How to protect yourself from scams and scaammers:
1)Be vigilant about your online privacy.
2) You can guard your personal information and be careful about online sharing.
3) Use strong passwords.
4) You can create strong passwords for all your online accounts; consider using a password manager.
5) Be wary of unexpected offers; check things out carefully.
6) Be cautious about deals that seem too good to be true, especially if they require personal information up front.
7) Educate yourself about common scams.
8) Stay informed about the latest scams online and through other channels.
9) Don’t pay any more money.
10) Collect all the pertinent information and documents.
11) Protect your identity and accounts.
12) Report the fraud to authorities.
13) Check your insurance coverage and other financial recovery steps.
14) Can you outsmart a scammer? Not a great game, but, yes, you can.
15) Please don’t make any decisions right now.
16) Please just hang up if you are feeling pressured.
17) Do not share personal or financial information (such as your social security number, checking account information, etc.). I had to learn that the hard way.
18) Ask for their name and the name of the business/organization.
19) Could you ask for additional information to be mailed by post?
20) Stop! Don’t pay any money or give any information straight away to someone.
21) Think! Ask yourself, “Is this real, or is this a scam?
22) Ask someone you trust what they think about it.
23) Get Help!   (Thank you, Jasmine!)

The best way to deal with someone who scams or rips you off is to gather evidence of the scam, report them to the appropriate authorities or consumer protection agencies, and, if possible, pursue legal action to recover your losses rather than seeking personal retribution.

EMBRACE THE PRESENT MOMENTEVERY SINGLE INSTANT!

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

READ
Reading through the quotes below about life can do the trick if you’re looking for a pick-me-up or a healthy dose of motivation. Whether centered around positive affirmations, self-care, or success, life quotes can be powerful inspirational tools.

THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.

BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile and a well-timed, amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real time. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.

SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIALTHINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.

QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brains, behaviors, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.

QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.

PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation when we need it most.

WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things—helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.

THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.

READ CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!

Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day- each moment!

3/1—Four to five hours of sleep is enough for my mind, as I got little sleep last night.

3/2–This email went out today about the scammers >>
It was as bad as my 37-day coma. My daughter, Jasmine, is helping me through this by, for one thing, spending a lot of time changing all my passwords. She discovered this began when one of the scammers, who also scammed Cindy out of a lot, got into my computer and made changes. These scammers have gotten into Cindy for much, and I can’t help but think they are the reason for my troubles

Here is Cindy

I’m sure I am out of the thousands of dollars sent to a person in Uganda and the thousands more from people who were afraid to get involved.

Kurt, as a member of the GoFundMe Risk Team, you should stay closer to beginners in GoFundMe programs. This will help protect people like me from these awful scammers.

=============================

Here is one of the emails I got back >>

“It has been brought to my attention that you are not the real Kit Summers.
You have scammed me for $500; I have provided your email to the FBI.
Feel free to Zelle me back the $500 you conned me out of.”
Dave, can we start this GoFundMe program again, this time with no interruptions from scammers?
I hope this can work>>>>>>Kit”
But I have heard no one about this.

3/3–Fresh start. As has happened so many times, I have to start life anew.
Even with this fresh start, I have not enjoyed life for a long time.
I’m not even sure what I will be transitioning to next.

3/4–Jasmine has been helping me a lot this week. April and her husband, Jake, are away. I’m finding that I have a tremendous amount of anger within me.

3/5–So strange to be stuck in this motel room by myself. But Jasmine came over tonight to help me with my bank and recent scam.

3/6–I did not do much today. I am always working on getting things together better. Most days now, I am out walking and trying to strengthen this right leg of mine. The leg is showing improvement daily.

Is this strange? I put a paper in my wallet with Jasmine’s and April’s phone numbers.
This is in case I have yet another accident.
It’s hard to live my life in fear.

3/7–Tomorrow, Jasmine set me up to volunteer here >>
https://blessingsofhope.com/volunteer/
I’m looking forward to that, and I will let you know how it went in next week’s blog.
I want to get involved and help as much as I can.

I just got back from a walk. Every day, I feel stronger, and my right leg is better. While walking, I thought of my van a lot. I never even tried to start the engine after the accident. It may run fine. But then again, maybe I was looking for a change. I loved living and traveling in my van.

I’ve been thinking about Beth a lot, too. I can add her to the long list of losses I have had in my life. Starting with my first accident, where I lost my skill of juggling and many other things. Also, Jasmine and April’s mom (Mary Ellen, whom I was married to for 23 years) doesn’t want to see or talk to me. Yes, another significant loss in my life.

I didn’t take great care of my teeth when I was young. Over the last few years, a few teeth got infected and had to be removed. So I don’t have a complete set of teeth; four in my lower jaw are gone, making it sometimes difficult to chew. Loss loss loss.

I have had nothing but losses throughout my existence.
As you can tell, I am hurting and sad now.
Hard to see my life going downhill as it is currently.
I hate that I have screwed up my life so completely.

THEN KEEP DOING NEW FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK

I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.

Winter is here now, but there are still things you can grow.
And remember about indoor gardening.

A self-supporting life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.    —

You must look into it.

Because I am back on the road, there will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.

When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.

START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!
