TOPIC FOR THIS WEEK — The Benefits of Juggling
As you might know, I have been a juggler most of my life. Do you have the skill? Juggling improves eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, focused concentration, goal-setting, problem-solving, delayed gratification, and impresses your friends and enemies!

No wonder I pursued it so heartily.
Juggling has been such a big part of my life.

A few additional benefits >>
1) It improves your hand-eye coordination
2) It’s good for your brain and will continue to improve you. It’s an exercise for your brain.
3) You will stand straighter and have better posture.
4) Juggling breaks tension and connects you with other people.
5) It will give you a better handle on the “juggling” of your responsibilities.
5) Give you a better aim and improve your catching and throwing.
7) This skill will improve your fine motor skills.
8) Teach you to focus and see the big picture.
9) Juggling is excellent fun! It will always bring smiles to your face and to others.
10) You will learn to challenge yourself continually.

Watch the videos below to learn the skill.
Heavier balls are better for juggling, about the weight of an orange.

Scarves drop slowly; they are easier to juggle.
For scarves, I use Tulle material cut to 18” squares; Walmart sells this.

You can buy it by the yard and then cut it.

Juggling has taken me far >>
From winning the Gong Show in 1976 at the age of 15 to
Performing street shows in San Diego from 1976 through 1979.
I lived in Hawaii in early 1978 and practiced up to 12 hours daily on juggling.
Traveling throughout Europe in 1978, I met great jugglers.
Teaching juggling at Ringling Clown College in 1979.
Traveling around the country performing juggling as I went.
In 1981-82, I headlined my juggling act at Ballys Casino in Atlantic City.

Offered my juggling/performance workshop at many places in the US.
KIT’S JUGGLING WORKSHOP

Perhaps, like me, you have gone through a brain injury. Maybe just work on just one ball thrown from hand to hand. That is an accomplishment! As long as you challenge yourself you will get better and better. In fact, challenge yourself in whatever you do!

I traveled throughout Europe three different times, presenting my juggling workshop.
Three trips to Japan to work with jugglers.
The workshop also took me to Australia and New Zealand.

Do you have jugglers in your area who want to improve?
Contact me, and we can set up a workshop where you are.

WHAT NEW STORIES ARE YOU READY TO WRITE?

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!

Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness and finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.

THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion.

BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to the world in real-time. You have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—Your Thinking—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!

“YOU”
How you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determines everything in your life, and it all derives from your quality of thinking. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.

SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with your busy schedule—next to impossible. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.

BE POSITIVE!
Positive and inspiring quotes are like beams of sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.

PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation often when we need it most.

“… you always seem to think you have to change; you think you have to improve yourself, be like everyone else, and fit in, but can’t you see you’re perfect just the way you are?”
― Rebecca Raisin

“Excuses are lies which we tell ourselves before giving reason to others. We reason ourselves that we have done our best. Gradually, reason becomes our belief and, ultimately our truth. Unknowingly, we become responsible for closing the door that can lead us towards improvement.”

― Mary Kay Ash

“I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are because a could-be is a maybe reaching for a star. I’d rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far, because a might-have-been has never been, but a has was once an are.”

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly, don’t you think?
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day?
Do you remember what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Sunday?
Keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day.

3/23–Beth is away house-sitting for her aunt.
Aunt Karen also has some animals Beth is with.

My left arm and elbow are hurting exceptionally much. Perhaps it is arthritis; it hurts a lot. This might be connected to when I broke six ribs not too long ago.

3/24–Today, I attended church. In the past, I have written about the God that so many think is out there. I do not want to upset anyone, but I do not have this belief and wonder how people can. If you believe in a God and can prove it to me, please do. I am always open and waiting.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are a “different” group. A couple guys came by the house a few weeks ago and invited me to a meeting of their group. It was close, so I went. This was my first time going to a gathering of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

It was 7:30pm on this Sunday night. The place was packed; many were there, and all the seats were taken. What surprised me was that it was no different from the hundreds of other church gatherings I attended. Eventually, the front row was filled with Bible men who were part of the service.

Surprisingly, the format was just like so many other church services I have been to >>
Group singing
A speaker pushing God
Readings from the bible
Dismissal of the crowd.

Times are a-changin’. Many had the Bible on their smartphone, which they turned to. There were also many Bible books throughout the crowd. There are so many copies of this one book, yet most don’t even read their Bible book. It is difficult to read; why would any God put something like this together?

Nowadays, more and more people do not go the way of religion. All around, I see churches closing down. As people get educated, they are driven away from believing in any god. Reading the bible is so dull; I see why people don’t read. The book has good, as well as bad. How about this >>

2 Chronicles 15:13:
“All who would not seek the Lord,
the God of Israel,
were to be put to death,
whether small or great,
man or woman.”
Will you be the one to kill me for my nonbelief?

Do you believe?
Can you tell me exactly what you believe and why?
Can you teach me so that I can find this god?

At the Jehovah’s service, they had the eating bread and drinking wine segment. Dry and Stale crackers were given out to the crowd, but I did not participate. Four glasses of wine were simply passed around, which no one drank of, a strange effect it was.

Mostly an older crowd, many black, with some white mixed in. A lot of men were wearing 3-piece suits. It’s funny; for church and many other gatherings, people tend to gravitate to the back of the room when they are somewhere to hear someone speak. Like usual, I sat right up front to get the most out of it.

While at church, I always want to speak up and question the pastor or speaker. But the crowd will never go there. The congregation are hypnotized and just sit and stare; God Zombies? No one ever questions what is being said, which makes me sad.

I tried to find out if this group had a website or Facebook page about them, but I was told no. People referred to the website JW.org. Take a look if you care to.

One topic discussed was Adam and Eve and the eating of the apple. According to the Bible, at that early point, Adam or Eve did not even know good from bad. How could they know not to eat the apple? I hear that God knows everything and knows the beginning to the end.

So, God presented the apple tree and the apple, knowing that Adam would eat of the fruit and that Eve would also. The Bible says that this was mankind’s downfall. But God knew—it is God’s fault that humans did bad! (If you believe, that is.)

Think about it: according to the Bible book, so many billions have been sent to hell for something that God knew would happen. That is part of the reason I could never believe in any god.

Did you know I was baptized once? I brought a bag and went up with five others for the ceremony in front of 600 churchgoers. Right before I went before the pastor to be baptized, I put on the mask and snorkel that I had in the bag. The audience loved it, the pastor not so much. Yes, more of my “kitting around.”

I never believed.
It just never made sense to me.
I do believe that the Bible is an evil book.

3/25–I started work on the bathroom today. Eventually, I will install a new toilet and shower, redoing the bathroom.

My daughter, April, called today, and we had a nice talk. She and her husband, Jake, recently visited England to be tourists. April is interested in moving to England, which would be nice.

Beth went to get eggs at her friend Kathy’s farm, Square 1 Cattle Farm.
The rooster’s name is The Colonel, and he is gorgeous.

3/26–I’m doing more work on the bathroom. It will turn out very nice. Later, I plan on building another bathroom off our bedroom, with the kitchen on one side. Today, I scraped the walls more. There is much old curling paint to take care of. After scraping, I sanded down the walls, smoothing them.

Later, I will purchase and bring in a new stand-alone shower. We presently have a bathtub, but no one bathes in it, like at most homes. A shower gives us much room in the bathroom; the new shower will only use the corner of the room.

3/27–I always work around the house. Today, I made more improvements to the bathroom. It should turn out excellent. Of course, there are the gardens, which are constantly improving; there is no stopping them. Each week, I will include photos. Have you seen?

3/28–I did my daily ritual last night, flossing my teeth. Embarrassingly, one of my teeth dropped out. This tooth was right next to another lower tooth that I lost recently. The tooth that fell out last night had a post. You can see from the photos how dramatic this is.

When I was young, I did not take good care of my teeth; I am paying for it now. Later, I will call my dentist to see if he can fit me in today. So, it’s hard for me to smile well right now.

I went to see Dr. Patrick Cook in the afternoon. He examined all my teeth, and it sounds like, along with not taking good care of my teeth when I was young, I had some lousy work performed on my choppers. Two teeth have root canals that were not completed, and there is other shabby work.

If you are in the Augusta, GA, area, Dr. Cook does excellent work.

It’s almost 5pm now. Beth told me of a bird building a nest in a plastic bag hanging from the back fence. I looked over and saw some straw sticking out of the bag. As I approached to see better, a little bird flew out and almost hit my face. I will let you know more later.

And our puppies are growing. We are fostering three of the little creatures. These puppies are so easy to fall in love with. They were found in a small abandoned building. Valerie has been taking care of them, and now they have been separated and are finding homes.

Beth went to visit  she has a fantastic-looking rooster; you just have to see.

3/29–I was awakened this morning at 2:30am by Jemma barking at something outside. Often, I have trouble sleeping and do not get back to sleep; up for the day I am.

There is more work on the bathroom. I am scraping and patching all the walls, which should be done today. Next comes the painting; you will see photos next week.

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK
You will find out weekly how does my garden grow. We have a greenhouse where seeds (mainly tomatoes) are planted and coming up. I will see how things go in the future and let you know. I am tending to the young plants coming up. They will get bigger and bigger. Of course, you will see photos later.

There has been plenty of rain this week, so adding more water is unnecessary. I have a rainwater collector that I use to water the garden when it needs it. I also have three rainwater collectors I could use. These are always full; we get enough rain. .

Do you have a rainwater collector yet?
The price has gone way down.
Take a look >>

Go from your rainwater gutters and direct the downspout pipes to feed into your Vingli.  You have a screen on top of your container to filter out leaves. I put my collectors five feet up so that gravity can release water. I have two 100-gallon collectors and one 50-gallon rainwater collector.
