OPENING WORDS
My time with Jennifer has been fantastic, but she may not be able to handle my future needs. We put the relationship to bed for now. I had just discovered what a wonderful lady she truly is. I hope she visits me in Florida; her dad lives there. Sadly, it seems like Kit will stay solo in his life.
Here are my plans >>
First, they (Jasmine and April, my daughters),
help me immensely with this new direction for my life.
We are looking at Siesta Key >>
https://locations.sevitahealth.com/united-states/fl/sarasota/neurorestorative-siesta-key/545
I will go there to live and keep advancing as I write my blog to improve your future.
- They (my daughters) are looking for somewhere for me to stay until we find a place in Florida.
- They will help me get down there.
- They, and Greg, will secure me a place to live.
- Intense therapy to help with my balance and juggling.
- Help others get better as I get better.
- Get help with my dysphagia.
- Run and train daily to get this body back in shape.
- Get my teeth worked on to get them back.
- Planning to get my inspirational speaking going again from there.
- After getting a bike there, I will return to my bicycling (and unicycling!)

EMBRACE THE PRESENT MOMENT- EVERY SINGLE INSTANT!
BLOG 327–STOP
You have control of what you say and do.
Before you put it all out there–STOP to think first!
YOU can control how you communicate with people.
STOP!
1) Stop overthinking.
2) Stop blaming others.
3) Stop regretting the past.
4) Stop worrying about the future.
5) Stop comparing your life to others.
6) Stop waiting for perfect conditions.
7) Stop looking for happiness in others.
NONE OF THESE SHOULD BE A PART OF YOUR LIFE!
“Stop” can have an impactful and inspiring meaning depending on how it’s used. It can represent pausing to think, taking a break, or even stopping to actively pursue a different direction. STOP is mainly about taking the time to think things through first.
Life is similar to a bus ride.
The journey begins when we jump on the bus.
We meet people along the way–strangers, friends, and future friends.
There are stops at intervals, and people get on the bus.
At times, some of these people make their presence felt.
Some impact us through their grace and beauty.
Some remain indifferent.
You are in charge of your bus and where it goes.
Meet people, they are bound to become your friends.
How does this apply to children? Let me ask you this: When was the last time you told a child to “breathe” when they were upset, and how did they do?
While we can invite children to use their preferred strategies, most of the time, when emotions are running high, they have “flipped their lids”. Their brain, commonly known as the “upstairs brain,” is responsible for problem-solving, impulse control, and emotion regulation, but becomes effectively offline, having been hijacked by the “downstairs brain.”
The primitive downstairs brain is the “act before thinking” team. The downstairs limbic system involves memory, emotion, and the stress response. One of its main jobs is keeping us safe!
Thinking first may be unsafe unless our upstairs brain can give it the “all-clear.” But the upstairs brain of a child or adolescent is still under construction (even up to their 20s!). The downstairs brain reacts first, especially when communication with the upstairs brain isn’t strong enough.
Herein lies the problem. As psychologists and educators, we often recommend something many children can’t yet do—STOP and think. We teach kids to “stop and think” before engaging in an unhelpful or inappropriate response, such as hitting someone or saying something hurtful.
However, their “act without thinking” mind takes charge when their emotions run high. Simply telling them first to stop and think is asking them to use a tool that has gone offline. You must teach them how to learn.
But then some people need to make an exit, to get down and walk the paths they were destined to. If people always made an entrance and never left, for better or worse, it would be a disaster. Then we would feel suffocated and confused like those people on the bus. The purpose of the journey would lose its essence, and the journey altogether would neither be worthwhile nor smooth.
HERE ARE SOME “GOOD” REASONS TO “STOP” >>
“Stop to smell the roses.”
“Stop to listen to your heart.”
“Stop being afraid and start living!”
“Stop the endless cycle–break free.”
“Stop and think about what matters.”
“Stop and look at the world around you.”
“Stop the negativity, embrace the positive.”
“Stop making excuses and start taking action.”
“Stop and allow yourself to feel, to be human.”
“Stop looking back–look forward to your future!”
“Stop for a moment–take a deep breath–recharge.”
“Stop the relentless pursuit and give yourself a break.”
“Stop letting fear control you; you are in charge of your life.”
OTHER WORDS FOR STOP >>
Bose, drop, end, halt, hold, kill, pause, stall, stand, stay, breathing space, halt, hesitation, hiatus, hitch, interlude, intermission, interruption, interval, lapse, layoff, letup, lull, recess, respite, stoppage, suspension. Which do you use?
Control when you use or act on the word, “STOP.”
When you do this, you will begin to control your brain.
ALL YOU HAVE IS NOW!
MAKE THINGS FANTASTIC!

WORDS TO INSPIRE YOU!
Inspirational quotes and sayings have a unique ability to change the way we feel about life and can change our thoughts. They are attractive, challenging, and essential on our path to joy and happiness, as well as finding ways to inspire ourselves and others.
READ
Reading through the quotes below about life can do the trick if you’re looking for a pick-me-up or a healthy dose of motivation. Whether centered around positive affirmations, self-care, or success, life quotes can be powerful inspirational tools.
THE BURST!
Inspirational quotes and ideas give us a quick and timely burst of wisdom to regain our focus, offering the inspiration needed for the day or occasion. I hope the words below bring a smile to your face and drive you to make this day and every day a fantastic event.
BE POSITIVE!
Just as positive words can make someone smile, and a well-timed, amusing quote can make someone laugh, your thoughts react to real life. Have this control! You have complete control over only one thing in the universe—YOUR THINKING!—and that’s where motivational quotes come in!
“YOU”
Your quality of thinking and how you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible, determine everything in your life. Use quotes to move ahead in your life.
SELF-TALK IS SO ESSENTIAL—THINK RIGHT!
To stay motivated, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve and get closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work, and it’s next to impossible with your busy schedule. But you can do it! Motivational words, yes, are just words. But they are positive words; they will keep you on track.
QUOTES
Motivational quotes affect our brain, behavior, and lives because they make us feel like we are in control of our success and have self-efficacy. Quotes make us believe that we have the confidence to complete a task successfully, which is different from having the motivation to succeed.
QUOTES WILL BENEFIT YOU!
Positive and inspiring quotes can be like sunshine on a cloudy day. They inject optimism into our thoughts, brighten our mood, and help us focus on the good in life. They remind us that even in the face of adversity, we can see the silver lining and embrace a positive attitude.
PEARLS OF WISDOM
In a world filled with challenges and indecisiveness, the power of inspirational quotes cannot be exaggerated. These pearls of wisdom uniquely uplift our spirits, can spark positive change, and fuel our motivation when we need it most.
WORDS WILL CHANGE YOU!
The correct motivational quote can change you and things, helping you ditch the excuses, escape your comfort zone, and take action. Read these words with an open mind and learn to improve your life.
THESE QUOTES
When you read these quotes, you’ll also realize that many other people worldwide are experiencing these feelings. These feelings make you think you’re the only person who could feel this bad. But you’re not. Lots and lots of other people feel bad, too. This is the irony of it. You don’t want other people to feel crappy, but it does make you feel better or at least comforted to know that other people feel just as bad as you.
EAD CAREFULLY
These quotes can be used when you wake up or prepare for work.
You can write your favorite quotes somewhere where you can see them first thing in the morning.
These quotes are motivating, inspiring, and encouraging.
They will help you see your potential, stay motivated, and see the beauty in every morning.
Use them to your advantage!

MY DAILY JOTTINGS >>
Each week goes by so quickly.
It seems like time is going by faster and faster.
You must live joyfully, daily, for each day!
Do you know what you did last Monday?
Do you remember what you ate for dinner last Thursday?
You can keep track of your doings for a few weeks; you will see your time differently.
Remember, the quality of your life depends on what you do each day, each moment!
5/30–The hospital today for a visit. For a week now, my left leg has been aching. Scared, I went to a local hospital to find out what it was. Every step was painful. I discovered it was a Hematoma, when your blood collects somewhere on your body. I had never experienced this until now.
Strange to be at a hospital and have this happen. Some years ago, I would get something stuck in my throat, and it would not go down, would not come up. It was just stuck there. Surgery was necessary to clear this up. I was told that it was an allergy.
For the dilation surgery, first, I go under anesthesia and I am kept asleep. This procedure involves inserting a tube into my esophagus and then inflating it. The throat holds this change, and I can swallow easily.
I’ve had this surgery done twice in the past, so it seems like it is time again. Here are the legalities >>
Esophageal dilation. Dilation involves placing an endoscope into the esophagus and inflating an attached balloon to stretch it.
It was a long wait in the hospital. I saw a semi-doctor who knew of my leg problem. She suggested I let it heal independently, which I am doing. Jennifer had to wait a lot, too, so she drove around and went to the store while waiting. I thank her so much for her help.
5/31--Two hours of sleep last night. I wonder how I would be if I could get enough sleep. In my mind, sleep has always seemed a waste of time, but I know it is necessary.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE-The Final Reckoning
This Saturday afternoon, we were in a huge movie theater with just a few people. Tom Cruise starred as the iconic Ethan Hunt. This movie takes the franchise to new heights with a gripping storyline, good music, breathtaking stunts, and high-stakes espionage.
You get pulled right in. The film grabs your attention with intense action sequences and suspenseful moments that never disappoint. Tom Cruise proves again why he is one of the greatest action stars of our time. His dedication to performing stunts adds an authentic thrill that sets this movie apart from other typical action films.
The plot revolves around a potent new threat in the form of a rogue AI, forcing Hunt and his team to make impossible choices for the greater good. With global stakes, emotional dilemmas, and complex twists, the story keeps the audience engaged throughout its run.
Visually, the cinematography is incredible, with exotic locations, beautifully choreographed fight scenes, and jaw-dropping set pieces. The supporting cast, including Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg, delivers solid performances, adding depth and humor to the intense dramatic movie.
The film ends with an episode of a serial drama that leaves the audience in suspense. While setting the stage for a future movie still feels satisfying as a complete cinematic experience. The pacing is tight, the music is exhilarating, and the stakes are higher than ever.
If you can go to this movie, do; you will love it.
6/1–It’s Sunday, so off we go to church. As you might know, I have never believed. It is interesting to see the social structure of Sundays, and it’s always great to see the passionate people attending. I’ve been to religious services all around the world.
Most religious services are similar. People enter, and most try to sit in the back (how terrible. I always sit up front to get the most out of whatever it might be.) Then there is singing. Next, a holy person comes out to give a talk.
Then, the money is collected. Many churches require people to give as much as they can, which they do. This just doesn’t seem right to me. I have studied and have yet to find rational and realistic proof for any God. I went with Jennifer to church, first to spend time with her, which I love, and also to see a new church.
I have a simple, single question that believers cannot answer — can you >>
“Please give your ONE BEST reasonable and rational proof for your god.”
Then I ask them, “Tell me why I should believe in said god”.
Can you do it? Please place your answer here.
Next, Jennifer took us to a late breakfast at a hectic diner.
Humm, come to think of it, I’ve never had dinner at a diner, have you?
6/2–Preparing to head down south to Florida.
I will miss Jennifer very much; I hope she comes to visit.
6/3–I slept until about 4 am. That’s a late sleep for me, it’s a good thing. While I am working on this blog, Jennifer is out on the patio in a conference call about her business selling health insurance.
I had a conference call with Mark, who represents NeuroRestorative>>
https://locations.sevitahealth.com/united-states/fl/sarasota/neurorestorative-siesta-key/545
Greg, with Selective Insurance Company, and my two daughters, Jasmine and April, were also on the call. We are setting up for me to be at this place to help improve my juggling, balance, and overall life—if I can get in. I will find out the status within the week and, of course, let you know.
6/4–It’s a clear, beautiful day. I hope yours is as lovely. Jennifer and I just looked at my left leg, which is not good. Yet the pain is down substantially. If I were to start exercising (running), it would help. Jennifer and I plan to go out later for a long run/walk. Are you putting time into exercise for yourself?
THE EARTH IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO LIVE, DON’T YA THINK?
It turned out to be a pretty warm day and a delight.
We sat and talked on the deck for a long time. She fears what might be coming (Jesus, that is). Of course, I did not think the same way. That is the main reason Jennifer will not be with me. She believes what we do as we come together is against God and the Bible.
6/5–I woke up at 3 a.m., as usual. It’s a hot day today, but no air conditioning is yet. I was in the garage this morning working on my juggling. It’s about the same as it’s been—not very good. This is just another significant loss I’ve had in my life—I’ve had so many.
I recently had to change banks to PNC. I paid off one of my credit cards and owe nothing. That’s a good feeling.
My left leg is hurting so much, and it seems healing.
6/6–Hard right now as it comes to Jennier. I am under the impression that she does not want me at all, which makes me want to cry. You will hear more in a future post.
THEN, KEEP DOING NEW (DAILY) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

THE GARDEN THIS WEEK
I keep this section about gardening in.
I do like the skill and hope you do, too.
Winter is here now.
But there are still things you can grow.
And remember about indoor gardening.
A self-supporting life can be a better life.
A garden would be a part of that life.
You must look into it!
Because I am back on the road.
There will be no more words about the garden.
I do hope Beth keeps it up.
We did a lot of work establishing our vegetable garden.
When I drove the van seven years ago,
I grew stuff under the sunroof windows on the top.
I may start that up in my van garden again.
You will find out, of course.
START YOUR GARDEN TODAY!
IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOUR LIFE!

ALL OUR LIVES, WE MUST CHALLENGE OURSELVES!

Learn to control your mind, and you learn to control yourself.
